An internal combustion engine () is provided with a turbocharger (), and is configured to be switchable between a stoichiometric combustion mode having a theoretical air-fuel ratio as a target air-fuel ratio and a lean combustion mode having a lean air-fuel ratio as a target air-fuel ratio. An air bypass valve () is provided in an air bypass passage () communicating a collector () on the downstream of a throttle valve () with the upstream side of a compressor () in an intake passage (). At the time of the shifting from the lean combustion mode to the stoichiometric mode, the throttle valve () is closed and the air bypass valve () is temporarily opened to decrease the pressure inside the collector () quickly.

Internal combustion engine and method of controlling same

In order to prevent an abnormal combustion due to oil, a restriction region (B) is designated on a low-speed and high-load side of an internal combustion engine (), and an opening of throttle valve () is restricted so that an engine operating condition is not observed within the restriction region (B). A predetermined designated inspection region (A) is set so as to include the restriction region (B), and it is judged whether or not the abnormal combustion actually occurred when the internal combustion engine () is running within the designated inspection region (A). If the abnormal combustion was detected, the restriction region (B) is expanded, meanwhile, if the abnormal combustion was not detected, the expanded restriction region (B) is gradually decreased. If the abnormal combustion occurred at a shorter interval than a threshold value, the restriction region (B) is expanded at once to a predetermined size.

Internal combustion engine control device, and control method

Provided is a POS system, including a terminal () that includes a bank deposit amount calculating unit () for calculating a bank deposit amount for each business day, in which the bank deposit amount calculating unit () subtracts an amount spent for other uses than as a change from a total amount of cash gained on a day that validity of the spending is judged and approved, to thereby calculate a bank deposit amount of the day. With this configuration, the management of cash such as a change fund in the POS system is clarified.

An internal combustion engine () comprises a fuel injection valve () which supplies a first fuel having a higher self-ignitability than gasoline and a second fuel having a higher combustion speed than gasoline such that an air-fuel mixture containing the first fuel and the second fuel is formed in a combustion chamber (), a spark plug () which ignites the air-fuel mixture, and a programmable controller () programmed to control supply proportions of the first fuel and the second fuel such that the ignited air-fuel mixture undergoes flame propagation combustion and then undergoes self-ignition combustion. Thus, a reduction in emissions can be achieved, and high thermal efficiency can be realized through the self-ignition combustion.

Internal combustion engine

In an embodiment, the invention provides an internal combustion engine, including a first fuel injector that supplies a first fuel to a first predetermined region in a combustion chamber, and a second fuel injector that supplies a second fuel to a second predetermined region in the combustion chamber. The second fuel has an octane number that is different than an octane number of the first fuel, and the second predetermined region is different from the first predetermined region. An ignition device is configured to start ignition of one of the first and second fuels based on an ignition signal. An operation condition detector detects at least one engine operating condition. A controller is configured to provide the ignition signal to the ignition device and to determine which one of the first and second fuels to ignite by the ignition device based on the engine operation condition.

Combustion control system for internal combustion engine

A controller () controls combustion in an internal combustion engine that injects a fuel having high self-ignitability into a cylinder during a compression stroke, in which a premixed gas formed from a fuel having low self-ignitability is compressed within the cylinder, and ignites the premixed gas using the injected fuel as an ignition source. The controller () is programmed to detect any one of a self-ignitability of the fuel forming the premixed gas, a self-ignitability of the fuel serving as the ignition source, and an internal cylinder pressure, and set the other two in accordance with a resulting detection value. Thus, combustion conditions can be controlled appropriately, regardless of the engine operating conditions.

Combustion control of internal combustion engine

The Inventor invented a combustion control device which optimizes combustion regardless of the cetane number of a fuel of an internal combustion engine () by focusing on the correlation between the cetane number and specific gravity of the fuel, and correcting combustion control based on the specific gravity of the fuel. The combustion control device comprises a sensor () which detects the specific gravity of the fuel, a device which adjusts a combustion-related element of the internal combustion engine () such as fuel injection, compression end in-cylinder temperature and an intake air swirl (), and a controller () programmed to correct a target value of the element based on the specific gravity of the fuel (S, S, S), and control the adjusting device so that the corrected target value is realized (S, S, S).
