In an instrument configured to spectroscopically divide fluorescences emitted from a plurality of capillaries and collectively measure the fluorescences using an image sensor, when the number of pixels of a binning region on the image sensor on which a predetermined wavelength-band component of each fluorescence is projected is denoted by B, the number of pixels of hardware binning is denoted by B, the number of pixels of software binning is denoted by B, B=B×B, the total noise measured in a case where B=B=B=1 is denoted by N, the readout noise is denoted by N, the dark-current noise is denoted by N, and the shot noise is denoted by N, B, B, B, N, N, N, and Nsatisfy a predetermined relationship, thereby realizing high sensitivity and high dynamic range in fluorescence measurement.

Multi-capillary electrophoresis instrument

An analysis system includes an analyzer configured to separate a sample including a plurality of components labeled with any of M kinds of fluorescent substances by chromatography and acquire first time-series data of fluorescence signals detected in N kinds (M>N) of wavelength bands in a state in which at least a part of the plurality of components is not completely separated; and a computer configured to compare the first time-series data with the second time-series data, and determine which kind of fluorescent substance of M kinds of fluorescent substances individually labels each of the plurality of components.

Analysis system and analysis method

A capillary electrophoresis device includes: a plurality of capillaries; a light source; a detector that detects light transmitted through the capillaries; an optical coupling optical system and a plurality of first optical fibers provided between the light source and the plurality of capillaries; and a plurality of second optical fibers provided between the plurality of capillaries and the detector. The optical coupling optical system couples the light from the light source to the plurality of first optical fibers. Each of the plurality of first optical fibers has a first end face connected to the optical coupling optical system, and a second end face arranged close to and opposite to a corresponding capillary among the capillaries. Each of the plurality of second optical fibers has a first end face arranged close to and opposite to a corresponding capillary among the capillaries, and a second end face connected to the detector.

Capillary electrophoresis device

An electrophoresis system includes a plurality of capillaries in which electrophoresis of a sample is performed, a light source that irradiates detection positions of the capillaries with light, a light detector that detects light generated by the irradiation with the light by the light source that depends on components contained in the sample, and a buffer storage unit into which one end of the plurality of capillaries are inserted at a time of the electrophoresis of the sample and in which a buffer is stored. A computer controls an electrophoresis condition of each of the plurality of capillaries such that arrival times for the components that move in the plurality of capillaries to reach the detection positions are shifted from each other. As a result, it is possible to detect fluorescence signals at different timings in each of the plurality of capillaries.

Electrophoresis system

In an analysis method and an analysis system for detecting fluorescences from each of a plurality of light-emitting points in a plurality of wavelength bands in order to identify fluorescence emissions of a plurality of types of fluorophores from the plurality of light-emitting points, spatial crosstalk and spectral crosstalk are present between the plurality of light-emitting points and between the plurality of wavelength bands, and then performance of the identification is reduced. The spatial crosstalk and the spectral crosstalk are eliminated and concentrations of each of the plurality of types of fluorophores at each of the plurality of light-emitting points are derived by inputting all detection signals in the plurality of wavelength bands for the plurality of light-emitting points to a predetermined arithmetic operation expression.

Provided is an electrophoresis device for enhancing its analysis performance. In order to achieve the task, the electrophoresis device includes a capillary array constituted by a capillary, a capillary head for bundling an end of the capillary, an electrode holder for holding an electrode provided at the other end of the capillary and a detector provided for the capillary, a first heater for heating the capillary, and an irradiation detection unit for irradiating a light to the detector to detect a fluorescence generated from a fluorescence labelled sample in the capillary. The electrophoresis device further includes a second heater for heating the detector.

Electrophoresis device

The present invention aims to provide an electrophoresis apparatus which makes it possible to execute protein analysis with a high throughput. The electrophoresis apparatus according to the present invention is equipped with a capillary array which is configured by arraying a plurality of capillaries, a measurement light irradiation unit which irradiates with measurement light, a first lens array which includes a plurality of first lenses which are arrayed in correspondence with the plurality of capillaries, a second lens array which includes a plurality of second lenses which are arrayed in correspondence with the plurality of capillaries, and a light receiving unit which receives light which is incident upon the capillaries via the first lens array from the measurement light irradiation unit via the second lens array.

Electrophoresis apparatus

Here, m, mand mare selected such that a relation of n<n<nis satisfied. The material mis an optically transparent liquid suitable for targeted analysis. When a laser beamis focused and irradiated perpendicularly to the individual channelsandalong the same plane, refraction of the laser beamby the channelsand refraction of the laser beamby the channelsare counterbalanced. For this reason, the laser beampropagates linearly on the same plane and the individual channelsandcan be simultaneously and efficiently irradiated with the laser beam. Fluorescence emitted from the individual channelsandis detected independently and simultaneously using a collimating lens, a filter and a diffraction grating, an imaging lens, a two-dimensional sensor, and a data analysis system, from a direction perpendicular to the same plane.

Microchip and manufacturing method therefor, and multi-channel fluorescence detection device

In a right-handed XYZ coordinate system, a dichroic-mirror array of the present disclosure includes a first group in which m (m&#x2265;2) dichroic mirrors DAto DAm are arranged parallel to each other along a positive direction of an X axis and a second group in which n (n&#x2265;2) dichroic mirrors DBto DBn are arranged parallel to each other along a negative direction of the X axis. Incident surfaces of the DAto DAm and incident surfaces of the DBto DBn are perpendicular to an XZ plane. A slope of straight lines with normal lines of the incident surfaces of the DAto DAm projected onto the XZ plane are negative, and a slope of straight lines with normal lines of incident surfaces of DBto DBn projected onto the XZ plane are positive.

Dichroic mirror array and light detecting device

A light-emission detection apparatus is provided for individually condensing light emitted from each emission point of an emission-point array using each condensing lens of a condensing-lens array to forma light beam and detecting each light beam incident on a sensor in parallel. The light-emission detection apparatus can be downsized and high sensitivity and low crosstalk can be simultaneously accomplished when a certain relation between the diameter of each emission point, a focal length of each condensing lens, an interval of condensing lenses, and an optical path length between each condensing lens and a sensor is satisfied.

Light-emitting detection device

The invention is directed to a light-emission detection apparatus for individually condensing light emitted from each emission point of a emission-point array using each condensing lens of a condensing-lens array to form a light beam and detecting each light beam incident on a sensor in parallel, and the light-emission detection apparatus can be downsized and high sensitivity and low crosstalk can be simultaneously accomplished when a certain relation between the diameter of each emission point, a focal length of each condensing lens, an interval of condensing lenses, and an optical path length between each condensing lens and a sensor is satisfied.

In order to provide a piston and a syringe with good sliding performance and pressure resistance performance, the piston contained in the syringe that pressurizes or decompresses an internal medium is configured such that a soft portion made of a soft material and a rigid portion made of a material having rigidity higher than rigidity of the soft portion, are connected in series, and arranged such that the soft portion is in contact with the medium and the rigid portion is not in contact with the medium. The soft portion includes a hollow on a surface in contact with the medium. The rigid portion has an end surface facing the soft portion, the end surface including at least an outer peripheral portion in contact with the soft portion. The outer diameter of the soft portion is larger than the outer diameter of the rigid portion, and the outer diameter of the rigid portion is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of an outer cylinder of the syringe.
