A control device for a series hybrid vehicle, the series hybrid vehicle including: an engine, a catalyst that is disposed in an exhaust path of the engine, a generator that generates electric power using power output from the engine, a battery that stores the electric power generated by the generator, and a traction electric motor that is driven with electric power of the battery, the control device including an electronic control unit configured to: acquire information on a temperature of the catalyst; and, when the information on the temperature of the catalyst is information corresponding to the temperature of the catalyst being equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, change an operating point of the engine to an operating point that reduces a temperature of the exhaust gas while generating the electric power by the generator.

Control device and control method for series hybrid vehicle

A vehicle includes: a power storage device; a rotary electric machine; a power generation device; a heat radiation unit configured to radiate exhaust heat from the rotary electric machine and the power generation device; and a control device configured to control power generation by the power generation device so as to increase an amount of power generated by the power generation device when vehicle required power due to drive of the vehicle is smaller than predetermined power compared to when the vehicle required power is larger than the predetermined power. An amount of power generated by the rotary electric machine and the power generation device is equal to or less than allowable generated electric power calculated from the amount of heat that is able to radiated by the heat radiation unit.

An engine control device includes a processor configured to execute a fuel injection control including: a first fuel injection processing for injecting an amount of fuel according to a first intake air amount based on an intake air flow rate detected by an air flow sensor; and a second fuel injection processing for injecting an amount of fuel according to a second intake air amount based on a throttle opening degree detected by a throttle position sensor. The processor selects the first fuel injection processing when a pulsation rate of the intake air flow rate is equal to or lower than a pulsation rate threshold value, and selects the second fuel injection processing when the pulsation rate is higher than the pulsation rate threshold value. The pulsation rate threshold value is smaller when a temperature correlation value is low than when the temperature correlation value is high.

An engine control device for an electric vehicle having an electrical rotating machine, includes: an engine control unit determining an engine rotational speed and an engine torque such that a particulate number of particulate matter per unit gas quantity that the engine releases into an atmosphere becomes equal to or less than a target value having been set in association with a warm-up state of the engine, the engine rotational speed, and the engine torque, and such that the engine rotational speed when a vehicle speed is less than a threshold value is lower than the engine rotational speed when the vehicle speed is equal to or more than the threshold value, and controlling the engine based on the determined engine rotational speed and the engine torque.

An internal combustion engine includes a manifold channel. With respect to a longest cylinder that is a cylinder whose flow channel length from the cylinder to a collective portion is the longest among three cylinders, the manifold channel is provided with a hollow layer that covers a part of a channel wall in the flow channel direction of a branch channel connected to the longest cylinder. With respect to a shortest cylinder that is a cylinder whose flow channel length from the cylinder to the collective portion are the shortest, the manifold channel is not provided with a hollow layer that covers a channel wall of a branch channel connected to the shortest cylinder. Internal combustion engine

A control device for an internal combustion engine is provided. The internal combustion engine is configured to perform switching between an all-cylinder operation and a partial cylinder operation. The internal combustion engine includes a temperature regulator. The temperature regulator is configured to separately regulate the temperature of an operating cylinder and the temperature of a paused cylinder. The operating cylinder is a cylinder that operates during the partial cylinder operation. The paused cylinder is a cylinder that is paused during the partial cylinder operation. The control device includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to (i) calculate a temperature difference between the operating cylinder and the paused cylinder during the partial cylinder operation, and (ii) control the temperature regulator such that the temperature difference becomes equal to or smaller than a predetermined threshold.

Control device for internal combustion engine with cylinder deactivation

There is provided a control system of a chemical heat accumulator which enables to facilitate small-sizing of the chemical heat accumulator by carrying out heat release and heat accumulation according to a degree of priority by appropriately selecting a location of carrying out the heat release and heat accumulation on priority basis. A chemical heat accumulator includes a valve mechanism which makes a plurality of reactors communicate separately with a reservoir, and cuts off the plurality of reactors from the reservoir. When both reactors are in a state in which an exothermic reaction between a reaction material and a reaction medium is possible, or in a state in which an endothermic reaction in which the reaction medium is desorbed is possible, a controller which controls an opening of a valve mechanism controls the opening of the valve mechanism such that a flow rate of the reaction medium circulated between the first reactor and the reservoir for which a degree of priority of heat release or heat accumulation is high becomes higher than a flow rate of the reaction medium circulated between the second reactor and the reservoir for which the degree of priority of heat release or heat accumulation is low.

Control system for chemical heat accumulator

A vehicular heat management system including a heater for carrying out heating of a heat medium and stop the heating, and a heat exchanger configured to carry out heat exchange between lubricant oil for lubricating a speed change apparatus and the heat medium. A heat medium circulator is provided that is configured to switch the heat medium circulation state between a first circulation state where the heat medium circulates through the heater and the heat exchanger, and a second circulation state where the heat medium circulates through the heater and a heater core. An electronic control unit is also provided.

Cooling water control apparatus

A cooling water control apparatus is a cooling water control apparatus for controlling a cooling apparatus having a first pipe which circulates cooling water through an engine; a second pipe which circulates the cooling water not through the engine; and a switching valve whose state is changed between opened and closed states, and has: a detecting device which detects first temperature of the cooling water in a pipe portion of the first pipe between the engine and the switching valve; and a determining device which determines that there is failure of the switching valve whose state is the closed state, if required period from the output of the command for changing the state of the switching valve from the opened state to the closed state until the first temperature reaches predetermined temperature is larger than predetermined target period.

A cooling water control apparatus controls a cooling apparatus having first pipe which circulates cooling water through an engine; second pipe which circulates cooling water not through the engine; a switching valve whose state is changed between opened and closed states; and a supplying mechanism which supplies cooling water, and has a determining device which determines whether there is failure of the switching valve based on difference between first temperature of cooling water in first pipe and second temperature of cooling water in second pipe after the command for changing the state of the switching valve from closed state to opened state is outputted; and a controlling device which controls the supplying mechanism to supply cooling water even after the engine stops, when the engine stops while the determining device determines whether there is failure of the switching valve.

A coolant control device includes: first control means for, at warm-up of an internal combustion engine, circulating coolant in a first passage bypassing the engine and stopping coolant circulation in the second passage passing through the engine; second control means for, at engine warm-up and when the quantity of heat required by a heater core is smaller than or equal to a predetermined threshold, circulating coolant in the first passage while adjusting the flow rate of coolant circulating in the first passage and stopping coolant circulation in the second passage; and third control means for, at engine warm-up and when the required quantity of heat exceeds the predetermined threshold, circulating coolant in the first passage without decreasing the flow rate of coolant circulating in the first passage and circulating coolant in the second passage while adjusting the flow rate of coolant circulating in the second passage.

Coolant control device

A vehicle control device operates an electric generator by an internal combustion engine and can intermittently drive an electric motor. The vehicle control device includes an electric storage unit and a control unit. The electric storage unit supplies electric power to the electric motor and can be charged by regenerative electric power from the electric generator. The control unit stops the intermittent driving mode provided that the vehicle speed is equal to or smaller than a predetermined speed and a status amount corresponding to an electric storage state of the electric storage unit is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value.
