A technology capable of dealing with a variation in appropriate recognition parameters due to a change in work environment at a work site at a time of recognizing an article in an image. An article recognition system includes: an input section to which a captured image is input; an output section that presents information to a user; a storage section that stores master data defining features of an object to be recognized; a recognition section that detects the object to be recognized in the image; and a recognition evaluation section that evaluates a recognition content of the recognition section and that presents an alert to the output section on the basis of an evaluation result.

Article recognition system and article recognition method

A vehicle speed control system includes a road shape recognition unit which recognizes a road shape, a target speed setting unit which sets a target speed according to the road shape, a speed control unit which controls the host vehicle's speed according to the target speed, a parameter detecting unit which detects at least one of parameters representing the driver's steering rotation, a yaw rate of the host vehicle, and a lateral acceleration of the host vehicle, and a first acceleration determining unit which, after the speed control unit has decelerated, determines whether or not to accelerate the host vehicle according to reference parameters based on a road shape and the host vehicle's speed and parameters detected by the parameter detecting unit, wherein if the first acceleration determining unit has determined to accelerate, the target speed setting unit sets a target speed of the host vehicle according to a predetermined acceleration.

Drive assist system

This invention provides a vehicle cruise control system which, during recognition of a shape of a road extending in a frontward direction of host vehicle, can calculate the road shape rapidly and accurately from a positional relationship with respect to the host vehicle. The system includes at least: a position change detector that detects, from information on the road existing in the frontward direction of the vehicle, a horizontal distance from a line segment orthogonal to a traveling direction vector of the vehicle, to a centerline of the road, the detection being conducted at a plurality of measuring points in an extending direction of the traveling direction vector; a road shape recognizer that identifies the shape of the road from data relating to linearity of changes in each of the horizontal distances, the linearity data being obtained by the position change detector; and a cruise controller that controls traveling of the vehicle according to results of the identification by the road shape recognizer.

Cruise control system for a vehicle

In a power steering system comprising a power cylinder for assisting a steering power of a steering mechanism, a hydraulic pump for supplying a hydraulic pressure to the power cylinder, a first oil passage and a second oil passage connecting the power cylinder and the hydraulic pump respectively, a motor for driving the hydraulic pump, and power steering control means for calculating a command value to the motor based on the steering torque, a flow rate of the working oil supplied from a high-pressure side oil passage to a low-pressure side oil passage is restrained at the transition from the end of the steering state (lock end) of the steering mechanism to the returning. The flow-rate restraint increasingly corrects a driving current of the motor in the steering direction or limits the flow rate of the working oil.

Power steering system

A brake control apparatus for a vehicle having brake devices for generating pad-pressing forces at respective wheels includes brake control units for individually controlling the pad-pressing forces at the respective wheels; a storing unit for storing drive data required for controlling the pad-pressing force at each wheel; a vehicle-driving-state detector for detecting a driving state of the vehicle; and a vehicle controller for controlling a vehicle driving state using the brake control unit for each wheel. Memory data representing the relationship between a motor position and the pad-pressing force is updated using the state of brake actuators obtained when the driving state of the vehicle is stabilized by operating the brake devices during braking.

Brake control apparatus for vehicle

A brake device includes an actuator which is provided on a wheel side of a vehicle having a suspension, the actuator generates a braking force by being electrically driven. A drive controller is also provided for receiving a signal regarding the braking force from a vehicle motion controller and sensors, and driving the actuator accordingly. To reduce the number of high cost bending wires necessary to communicate between the sensors, the drive controller and the vehicle motion controller, the drive controller and the sensors are attached to the actuator side (unspring-mass).

A braking apparatus comprises a first contact unit arranged on the rotary shaft side of a wheel, at least a second contact unit for contacting the first contact unit for generating a friction force, an actuator for pressing the second contact unit against the first contact unit, and a control unit for controlling the operation of the actuator, wherein the control unit performs the position control operation for moving the second contact unit in such a manner that the interval between the first contact unit and the second contact unit is smaller than a preset distance, and the force control operation for pressing the second contact unit against the first contact unit in accordance with the required braking force.

Braking apparatus and method of controlling the same

A brake device includes an actuator which is provided on a wheel side of a vehicle having a suspension, the actuator generates a braking force by being electrically driven. A drive controller is also provided for receiving a signal regarding the braking force from a vehicle motion controller and sensors, and driving the actuator accordingly. A method and an apparatus for recording an image is disclosed, in which toner is supplied between a conductive recording drum covered with an insulating material and recording electrodes with the forward end thereof with a small gap from the drum and inclined at a great angle upstream of the direction of rotation of the recording drum. A toner carriage force is generated in the toner to flow out downstream by rotation of the recording drum. A permanent magnet is arranged in the recording drum to form a toner chain inclined at a great angle downstream of the recording drum from the forward end of the recording electrodes. The component of the magnetic force of the magnet in the direction of drum movement is balanced with the toner carriage force. Upon application of a recording voltage to the recording electrodes under this condition, the toner of the most downstream toner chain in contact with the drum surface develops a force of adhesion to the recording drum so that the drum rotates downstream with the toner attached thereon, thus forming an image due to the toner on the recording drum.
