A display control unit executes an information code display process in which a display unit is controlled to change a luminance of a light color display area, in which light color cells are to be displayed, from a luminance of a predetermined initial display screen on the display unit in a certain direction, and to change a luminance of a dark color display area, in which dark color cells are to be displayed, from the luminance of the predetermined initial display screen in an opposite direction to the certain direction.

Information code display device and information code display system

An information code reading system including an information code display device and an information code reading device. The information code display device generates, corresponding to an information code to be displayed, multiple partial code images to be different from one another. A code area of the information code to be displayed includes multiple cells and each cell is included in at least one of the multiple partial code images. Each partial code image is generated by removing a part of the cells from the code area to be different from one another. The multiple partial code images are displayed on a display screen in a cyclic manner. The information code reading device captures, as an information code, an image of the display screen with an exposure time set to be longer than a cycle of cyclic display of the multiple partial code images, and decodes the captured information code.

Information code reading system

An information reading apparatus that is easy for a user to operate even if different functions are required for each situation is provided. A base module includes a control unit which performs control by using three functional modules assembled thereto, that is, a top module, a bottom module, and a back module, and a touch panel whose display content is controlled by the control unit. The top module is connected to a one end of the base module in the longitudinal direction, the bottom module is connected to the other end of the base module in the longitudinal direction, and the back module is connected to a rear side of the base module, which faces away from a display screen of a touch panel. The control unit recognizes each function on the basis of the information obtained from the three functional modules connected to the base module.

Information reading apparatus

There is provided a portable information code display apparatus. The apparatus includes a display unit that is capable of displaying an image in addition to a direction detecting unit and a display control unit. The direction detecting unit is capable of detecting that the display unit is oriented is a predetermined orientation. The display control unit controlling display performed in the display unit. Practically, the display control unit displays an information code on the display unit in a predetermined readable state in which the information is readable and maintains the display of the information code in the readable state, when the direction detecting unit detects that the display unit is oriented in the predetermined orientation.

Portable information code display apparatus

An information code reading system includes an information code terminal and a server communicably connected to the terminal. In the terminal, an information code with first and second information is imaged, and transmitted to the server information indicating the information code. The server decodes the information indicating the information code received from the terminal, and memorize information showing that the information code has become an object being read, when the second information is provided via the decoding process. From the server, either the first information or information related to the first information provided via the decoding process is transmitted to the terminal. Hence, in the terminal, a process is performed with the first information received from the server.

Method and system for reading information codes

An information code producing apparatus produces a free space inside the code region of an information code arranged on a medium such as sheets of paper. The free space is arranged at a position other than specification pattern regions. Data being interpreted, which are expressed by cells, are not recorded in the free space. The free space has a preset size which is larger than that of a single cell. The information code producing apparatus detects the size of this free space by, at least, either selection from a plurality of candidate shapes prepared in advance or input of shape designating information provided from the outside.

Information code, information code producing method, information code reader, and system which uses information code

Disclosed herein are an information code and an information code reader. In information code, a plurality of light-colored modules exhibiting the reflective characteristics of light color when light of a second wavelength band different from light of a first wavelength band is radiated and a plurality of dark-colored modules exhibiting the reflective characteristics of dark color when the light of a second wavelength band is radiated are arranged in a code region. The information code includes a masked portion disposed in a predetermined region of the code region in which light is intercepted and prevents the corresponding information code from being read, and configured to, when the light of a second wavelength band is radiated, allow light reflected from the modules of the corresponding code region to pass therethrough and thereby interrupt the light of a first wavelength band.

Information code and information code reader

A system reads an information code formed on a medium. The code has light modules and dark modules. The areas of the light modules are produced as inversion areas inverted light reflection characteristics. The areas of the dark module areas are produced as non-inversion areas non-inverting light reflection characteristics. A reader emits illumination light of wavelengths including infrared light wavelengths to the code, and images the code under the illumining light emission. The inversion areas, that is, the light module areas, can be dark under the visible light, but can be a light color due to its inverted light reflection characteristics. The light modules can thus be imaged by the reader under the illumining light emission, providing distinguishable detection of the inversion and non-inversion areas, allowing the light and dark modules to be extracted for decoding.

System for reading information code and medium on which information code is formed

A two-dimensional code having a rectangular region is provided. In the rectangular region, there are a plurality of code blocks, a first specific pattern, and error-correction code blocks. Each code block is composed of a plurality of cells aggregated together and formed to have both a specified corner in the rectangular region and the plurality of code blocks arranged in the rectangular region. The specific pattern is used to specify the positions of the cells. The error-correction code blocks are contained in the code blocks and formed to correct an error. The error-correction code blocks are arranged contiguously to part of the borders of the rectangular region. The part of the borders is displaced from the first specific pattern. Compressed data code blocks are also arranged in the same way as the error-correction code blocks.

Two-dimensional code having rectangular region provided with specific patterns for specification of cell positions and distinction from background

A two-dimensional code having a rectangular region is provided. In the rectangular region, there are code blocks composed of a plurality of cells, a first specific pattern specifying the positions of the cells, and a second specific pattern separating the code blocks from a background of the code. The first specific pattern is located at a specified corner of the rectangular region. The second specific pattern is located along one or more of first borders along which the first specific pattern is located, the first borders being part of the borders of the rectangular region. The code blocks include error-correction code blocks, which are located along second borders which are different from a border of the borders along which the second specific pattern is located. The second borders are part of the borders. Compressed data code blocks are also arranged in the same way as the error-correction code blocks.
