A steel component formed by carburizing and then induction-hardening of a steel consisting essentially of, by mass, C: minimum 0.08% and less than 0.3%; Si: maximum 2.0%; Mn: from 0.2% to 3.0%; P: maximum 0.03%; S: from 0.005% to 0.05%; Ni: maximum 1.5%; Cr: maximum 3.0%; Mo: maximum 1.0%; O: maximum 0.0025%; and N: from 0.005% to 0.03%; and further including either or both of, by mass, Al: from 0.005% to 0.05%, and Ti: from 0.005% to 0.05%; and still further including either or both of, by mass, V: maximum 0.3%, and Nb: maximum 0.3%; and a balance including Fe and unavoidable impurities. The hardness of the surface layer is at least 55 HRC and the hardness of the core portion is from 20 to 50 HRC. The core portion does not include a martensite structure.

Carburized and induction-hardened component

A cell manufacturing method in which a main operator, who carries out main operations that include a plurality of steps in which parts are attached to a workpiece, is moved along with the workpiece so as to transit a plurality of stations at which auxiliary steps related to the main operations are carried out. A main car is provided on which the workpiece is mounted and on which the main operator rides. Cell production method and cell production facility

A cell manufacturing method in which a main operator, who carries out main operations that include a plurality of steps in which parts are installed on a workpiece, is moved along with the workpiece so as to transit a plurality of stations where auxiliary steps related to the main operations are carried out. At least a portion of operations in which parts and/or jigs are supplied to a main car are carried out via a main delivery apparatus by using a main car on which a workpiece is mounted and on which a main operator rides, and that travels automatically on a predetermined travel route that transits a plurality of stations. The main delivery apparatus has a main serving position and a main receiving position. Parts and/or jigs that have been disposed at the main receiving position are delivered to the main serving position.

A first element of a duplex planetary gear set is selectively coupled to an input shaft via a third clutch, or is selectively fixed via a first brake. A second element is selectively coupled, via a second clutch, to an intermediate shaft that is directly coupled to a speed-increasing element of a simplex planetary gear set which increases the rotational speed of the input shaft, or is selectively fixed via a second brake. A third element is directly coupled to an output shaft. A fourth element is selectively coupled to the input shaft via a first clutch. Therefore, by increasing the speed of the rotation of the input shaft by the simplex planetary gear set and transferring it to the duplex planetary gear set, it is possible to reduce the torques on individual components of an automatic transmission and therefore to reduce the sizes of the individual components and the capacities of the individual friction engagement elements.

Automatic transmission

A cell manufacturing method in which a main operator, who carries out main operations that includes a plurality of steps in which parts are attached to a workpiece, is moved with the workpiece so as to transit a plurality of stations at which auxiliary steps related to the main operation are carried out. A main car on which a workpiece is mounted and on which a main operator rides and a subsidiary car on which a subsidiary operator rides, the subsidiary operator preparing at least a portion of parts and/or jigs that are necessary for the main operation. The main car automatically travels on a predetermined travel path that transits a plurality of stations, and the subsidiary car travels together with the main car so as to enable transferring parts and/or jigs between the main car and the subsidiary car.

A method of heat-treating a steel member including carburizing a steel member in a carburizing gas under a reduced pressure. The steel member is then cooled in a cooling gas having a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure. A desired portion of the cooled steel member is then heated using high-density energy. The steel member is then quenched.

A motor driving device manufacturing method for manufacturing a motor driving device including a motor case, a rotor, and a stator disposed concentrically with the rotor on the outer periphery of the rotor, includes a measuring step for measuring a position of the stator relative to an axial center of the rotor from an inner side of the stator using a measuring device inserted in the stator; an adjusting step for adjusting the position of the stator from the inner side of the stator based on a measurement result of the measuring step using an adjustment device inserted in the stator, wherein the measuring step and the adjusting step are executed in a rotor not-inserted state, in which the stator is housed in the motor case and the rotor is not inserted in the stator; a stator fixing step for fixing the stator in the motor case; and a rotor shaft-support step for inserting the rotor in the stator and shaft-supporting the rotor on the motor case.

Motor driving device manufacturing method

A stator position measuring method and device relating to a motor driving device including a motor case, a rotor, and a stator disposed on an outer periphery of the rotor concentrically with the rotor, includes measuring a position of the stator relative to an axial center of the rotor, wherein the position of the stator is determined in a rotor not-inserted state, in which the stator is housed inside the motor case and the rotor is not inserted in the stator, by measuring a position of a radial surface of a stator core, which includes a magnetic body or a conductor forming the stator, relative to the axial center of the rotor using a non-contact displacement sensor that is selectively sensitive to the magnetic body or the conductor.

Stator position measuring method and measuring device

A stator position adjustment method and device relating to a motor driving device including a motor case, a rotor and a stator disposed on an outer periphery of the rotor concentrically with the rotor, includes adjusting a position of the stator relative to an axial center of the rotor, wherein: the position of the stator relative to the axial center of the rotor is adjusted in a non-inserted state, in which the stator is housed inside the motor case and the rotor is not inserted in the stator, using an adjustment tool, and the adjustment tool is positioned using a rotor shaft-support portion, that shaft-supports the rotor on the motor case as a reference.

Stator position adjustment method and device

Machining coolant/lubricant is used to operate a piston of a clamping-side coupler by feeding same via a coolant feed passage to a clamping pressure chamber through a first check valve and a clamping pressure fluid passage. The same coolant/lubricant is discharged from an unclamping pressure chamber through an unclamping pressure fluid passage and a second check valve. The resulting movement of the piston downwards brings a clamp member into contact with a workpiece to thereby clamp the workpiece on a table. Thus, a dedicated pressure source for clamping can be dispensed with.

Machining apparatus with coolant-operated clamp device

A multiple-bolt insertion tool in accordance with the present invention simultaneously inserts bolts into at least two bolt holes arrayed in a workpiece and includes a bolt receiving member and a hold-and-release mechanism. The bolt receiving member includes bolt positioning portions which establish a positional relationship among the bolts that are to be inserted that matches the positional relationship of the bolt holes, and a tool positioning portion, which fits (mates with) the workpiece to locate the bolt positioning portions in alignment with corresponding bolt holes in the workpiece. The hold-and-release mechanism holds the bolts in the bolt positioning portions until the tool positioning portion is mated with the workpiece and can release the bolts from the bolt positioning portions.

Machining is possible in such a manner that an optional position of a workpiece is positioned just under a tool by rotation of a turn table in a C-axis direction, movement of the turn table in a Y-axis direction, and movement of a spindle in a Z-axis direction, so that a width of a main unit in a X-axis direction can be made shorter in comparison with machining by moving the turn table in the X-axis direction. Besides, the turn table located on a front side of the main unit, an ATC located on the rear side thereof, and a separated control panel located on the rear side of the ATC, independent from the main unit can also make the width of a machining center in the X-axis direction shorter.

Machining center

Machining is possible in such a manner that an optional position of a workpiece is positioned just under a tool by rotation of a turn table in a C-axis direction and movement of a spindle on a Y-Z plane, so that a width of a main unit in a X-axis direction can be made shorter in comparison with machining by moving the turn table in the X-axis direction. Besides, the turn table located on a front side of the main unit, an ATC located on the rear side thereof, and a separated control panel located on the rear side of the ATC, independent from the main unit can also make the width of a machining centre in the X-axis direction shorter.

A motor/generator is arranged radially outward of a middle portion of a front cover of a torque converter so that at least a part of the motor/generator axially overlaps the torque converter, with a predetermined gap (C) between the front cover and the rotor of the motor/generator. The rotor of the motor/generator is supported by either the torque converter or an engine crankshaft or by any two of the torque converter, a motor housing and the crankshaft. The rotor is not affected by the torque converter and the efficiency of the motor is not reduced.
