Provided are: a sensor that is used as a distance-measuring sensor or the like and where a high SN ratio can be obtained and high-accuracy measurement can be performed even in a case where an environmental temperature changes; and a band pass filter that is used for the sensor. The sensor includes: a light source; a band pass filter; and a light-receiving element, in which the band pass filter includes a band pass layer and a support that supports the band pass layer, and in a case where a thermal expansion coefficient of the band pass layer is represented by α1, an elastic modulus of the band pass layer is represented by E1, a thermal expansion coefficient of the support is represented by α2, and an elastic modulus of the support is represented by E2, α1>α2 and E1<E2 are satisfied.

Sensor and band pass filter

Provided is a sensor having a high SN ratio. The sensor includes a light source, a band pass filter; and a light-receiving element, in which the band pass filter includes a cholesteric liquid crystal layer that is a layer obtained by immobilizing a cholesteric liquid crystalline phase, the cholesteric liquid crystal layer has a region where a refractive index nx in an in-plane slow axis direction and a refractive index ny in an in-plane fast axis direction satisfy nx>ny, and in a case where a selective reflection wavelength of the cholesteric liquid crystal layer is represented by λ, the cholesteric liquid crystal layer has a second selective reflection peak at a wavelength λ/and a half-width of the second selective reflection peak at λ/2 is 30 nm or less.

The liquid crystal member includes a liquid crystal layer in which a liquid crystal composition which contains a liquid crystal compound having a polymerizable group and a polymerization initiator is immobilized in an aligned state, with at least one main surface of two main surfaces of the liquid crystal layer at both ends in a thickness direction is a non-flat surface having various shapes in a region on the non-flat surface side of one of the two main surfaces, a slow axis of the liquid crystal compound has an equal angle with respect to an adjacent non-flat surface, and in a region on the other main surface side, slow axes of the liquid crystal compound are parallel to each other.

Liquid crystal member and millimeter-wave modulation element

An object of the present invention is to provide a half-mirror film for displaying a projection image having high adhesiveness, a laminated glass in which wrinkle generation of the half-mirror film is suppressed or furthermore has high adhesiveness, and an image display system using the laminated glass. The problem is solved by providing a half-mirror film for displaying a projection image including a transparent support; and a selective reflection layer reflecting light in a wavelength selective manner, in which the transparent support has an absolute value of 10 nm or less of an in-plane phase difference at a wavelength of 550 nm and a heat seal layer disposed on an opposite surface of a surface having the selective reflection layer, the heat seal layer contains a thermoplastic resin, and a mixed layer in which components of the transparent support and the heat seal layer are mixed is formed between the transparent support and the heat seal layer.

Half-mirror film for displaying projection image, laminated glass for displaying projection image, and image display system

A half mirror includes, in sequence, a glass plate, an adhesive layer, and a polarized light reflecting layer having a thickness of 5.0 &#x3bc;m or more and 80 &#x3bc;m or less. The adhesive layer has a thickness of 3 &#x3bc;m to 15 &#x3bc;m and is a layer formed by UV-curing of a composition containing an acrylic polymer having a weight-average molecular weight of 800,000 to 2,000,000, a crosslinker, and a silane coupling agent. The total amount of the crosslinker is 1.0 mass % to 8.0 mass % of the amount of the acrylic polymer, and 80 mass % or more of the crosslinker is accounted for by a photo-crosslinker.

An anti-glare mirror with an image display function includes, in this order: an image display device; a circular polarization reflection layer A; a liquid crystal cell; and a linear polarizing plate, in which a phase difference layer such as a &#xbc; wavelength plate is provided between the circular polarization reflection layer A and the linear polarizing plate, and the circular polarization reflection layer A has a cholesteric liquid crystal layer obtained by curing a coating layer of a liquid crystal composition containing a polymerizable liquid crystal compound.

Anti-glare mirror with image display function

A vehicle mirror having an image display function includes an image display device, a circularly polarized light reflection layer, and a front plate formed of glass or plastic in this order. The circularly polarized light reflection layer includes a linearly polarized light reflection plate and a 1/4 wavelength plate from a side of the image display device. The linearly polarized light reflection plate and the 1/4 wavelength plate are directly in contact with each other, or only an alignment layer is included between the linearly polarized light reflection plate and the 1/4 wavelength plate. A method for producing the vehicle mirror includes forming the 1/4 wavelength plate from a composition that is directly applied to the surface of the linearly polarized light reflection plate or that is directly applied to the surface of the alignment layer directly in contact with the linearly polarized light reflection plate.

A laminated body sequentially includes a substrate, an adhesive layer, and a multilayer film. The laminated body has characteristics of transmitting first polarized light and reflecting second polarized light having a polarization axis x that intersects a polarization axis y of the first polarized light. The multilayer film includes a plurality of first layers formed of a crystalline naphthalenedicarboxylic acid polyester and a plurality of second layers formed of a polymer other than the crystalline naphthalenedicarboxylic acid polyester, the first layers and the second layers being alternately stacked on top of each other. The first layers have a higher refractive index than the second layers on the polarization axis of the second polarized light, and the multilayer film has a thermal expansion coefficient of &#x2212;80 [10/K] or more at a temperature 3&#xb0; C. higher than a glass transition point of the multilayer film in the polarization axis direction of the first polarized light.

The vehicle mirror includes a high-Re retardation film and a reflective layer. The high-Re retardation film has a front retardation of 5,000 nm or more, and the reflective layer is a reflective layer that is reflective in an unpolarized manner, such as a reflective metal layer. The vehicle mirror may be a vehicle mirror further including an image display device, wherein the high-Re retardation film, the reflective layer, and the image display device are disposed in this order, and the reflective layer is transflective.

The half mirror includes a retardation layer, a circularly polarized light reflecting layer, and a front panel that are disposed in this order. The circularly polarized light reflecting layer includes three cholesteric liquid crystal layers.
