According to the present invention, even though the paint is filled or discharged repetitively to or from the paint bag (), so that bursting of a coating bag () or lack of coating material during coating are not caused by accumulation of error between the filling amount and the using amount. That is, before a predetermined amount of the coating material is supplied to the coating material bag (), the remaining coating material in the coating material bag () is extruded to empty it, since the coating material bag () is squashed by the pressure of fluid which was supplied to the hydraulic fluid chamber () outside of the bag.

Method and apparatus for filling coating material

A coating machine enables the inside of a paint chamber to be washed clean with less amount of use of thinner by increasing washing efficiency and is capable of forming a coating with uniform coating thickness by always uniformly jetting a paint over 360&#xb0; about a rotary atomizing head and the rotary atomizing head of the coating machine. The coating machine includes the rotary atomizing head in which the paint chamber is formed in the clearance between an outer bell fitted to the tip of a tubular rotating shaft and an inner bell fitted to the front side of the outer bell. Fins agitating, in the paint chamber, a washing fluid supplied from a thin tubular nozzle inserted into the tubular rotating shaft are radially formed on the rear surface side of the inner bell. An annular paint groove temporarily accumulating the paint is formed in the inner surface of the rim part of the outer bell on which the paint jetted from the paint jetting holes formed at the peripheral surface part of the paint chamber is extended.

Coating machine and rotary atomizing head thereof

A coating machine is capable of reducing VOC and COby atomizing a paint to increase depositing efficiency without lowering production efficiency and the rotary atomizing head of the coating machine. The coating machine includes the rotary atomizing head in which a paint chamber receiving the supply of paint is formed on the rear side thereof. A plurality of rims formed in a roughly truncated conical shape for extending the paint flowing out of the paint chamber by a centrifugal force and atomizing the paint at the tip thereof are fitted in the rotary atomizing head overlappingly at specific clearances. The clearances are opened to the peripheral surface part of the paint chamber. Accordingly, VOC and COcan be reduced by reducing the total jetted amount of paint to enable the atomization of the paint at low rotating speeds so as the increase the deposit efficiency.

A jet dispersing device includes a high pressure region having a flow inlet and a low pressure region having a flow outlet. A partition wall is positioned within the high pressure region such that the high pressure region is partitioned from the low pressure region. Additionally, the partition wall may be provided with at least one nozzle hole configured to jet a liquid from the high pressure region to the low pressure region such that the liquid is dispersed as fine particles. The partitioning wall may also have a cleaning fluid communication port having an opening area which is larger than an opening area of the at least one nozzle. Additionally, a valve mechanism configured to open and close the cleaning fluid communication port may also be provided.

Jet dispersing device

A coating machine having a coating material discharging mechanism for discharging a previously filled coating material under pressure to an atomizing mechanism wherein a coating material bag for filling a coating material is housed in a coating material discharging chamber of a predetermined volume and an inlet/exit port of an operating fluid is disposed for exerting a pressure from the outside of the coating material bag thereby discharging the coating material under pressure, while crushing the coating material bag, whereby paint or other coating material can be discharged under pressure reliably by a small driving force.

Coating machine

A small-sized and inexpensive coating material feeding apparatus capable of feeding even a coating material comprising less miscible main agent and curing agent as in an aqueous two component mixed coating material, while uniformly mixing them, to a coating machine or a coating material tank under extremely simple control, the apparatus comprising a measuring unit having a measuring cylinder for delivering the coating material ingredients each by an amount in accordance with the mixing ratio individually and simultaneously to the coating material tank, a storage unit having a transfer cylinder for storing the coating material prepared by mixing each of the coating material ingredients previously and then delivering the same to the coating machine or the coating material tank, and a valve unit formed with a switching valve for conducting channel switching, in which the coating material ingredients delivered from the measuring cylinder are pre-mixed in the channel stirring pre-mixer and a coating material delivered from the transfer cylinder is uniformly diffused and mixed in a jetting diffusion mixer.

A thermoplastic composition which is obtained by melt-kneading (1) 55 to 75 wt. % crystalline polypropylene resin together with (2) 10 to 30 wt. % elastomer comprising either a rubber containing a vinyl aromatic compound or a mixture thereof with an ethylene/&agr;-olefin random copolymer rubber and (3) 15 to 25 wt. % talc having an average particle diameter of 3 &mgr;m or smaller. The composition satisfies specific requirements with respect to: the long period obtained by X-ray small-angle scattering attributable to the vinyl aromatic-containing rubber in a blend obtained by melt-kneading the ingredients (1) and (2); the shape and diameter of the elastomer particles present near the polypropylene/elastomer interface in the blend; and the difference between the glass transition point of the ingredient (1) and that of the composition attributable to the crystalline polypropylene homopolymer parts. The composition has a satisfactory balance between impact resistance and rigidity and has excellent injection moldability.

Thermoplastic resin composition and injection-molded object thereof

There are disclosed a polypropylene composition for automotive parts which has a melt index at 230&deg; C. and at 2.16 kgf of at least 30 g/10 minutes and which comprises 55 to 60% by weight of (1) propylene/ethylene block copolymer; 20 to 25% by weight of (2) rubber comprising a styrene/ethylene/propylene/styrene block copolymer and/or a styrene/ethylene/1-butene/styrene block copolymer and an olefinic elastomer; and 18 to 23% by weight of (3) talc, and also an automotive part which comprises the above polypropylene composition.

Polypropylene compositions for automotive parts

Disclosed is a composition useful as a sealing or undercoating material for automobiles. The composition comprises fine particles (A) comprising polyurethane resin, a plasticizer (B) and fillers (C), wherein not less than 50% of (A) is spherical particles having a ratio of major axis/minor axis in the range of 1.0 to 1.5.

A polypropylene resin composition for use in automotive inner and outer trims, comprising 50 to 85% by weight of a crystalline polypropylene (A) having an MFR (230&deg; C.) of 7 to 70 g/10 min, 2 to 16% by weight of a hydrogenated block copolymer (B) obtained by hydrogenating at a hydrogenation ratio of at least 90% an aromatic vinyl/conjugated diene block copolymer which contains an aromatic vinyl block polymer unit in an amount of 22% by weight or less and has an MFR (230&deg; C.) of at least 5 g/10 min, and 5 to 25% by weight of an inorganic filler (G) having an average particle size of 0.1 to 3 &mgr;m as essential components. This composition may contain, as optional components, another hydrogenated block copolymer (C), an aromatic hydrocarbon copolymer (D), a crystalline polyethylene (E) and a soft ethylene/&agr;-olefin copolymer (F). This composition is excellent in heat resistance, rigidity and impact resistance and can provide a molding having beautiful appearance.

Polypropylene resin composition for use in automotive inner and outer trims

This invention provides polypropylene resin compositions which have sharply improved balance of physical properties in comparison with the related polypropylene materials, are materials that can be used in both interior and exterior parts of automobiles, have excellent thin-wall moldability and can sharply reduce generation of flow marks. Particularly, it provides a polypropylene resin composition which comprises specified amounts of (A) a specified ethylene-propylene block copolymer, (B) a specified thermoplastic elastomer and (C) talc, wherein it has specified values of physical properties measured by ASTM and has a degree of b-axis orientation of 720 or more which is calculated from the ratio of differential peak intensities measured by wide-angle X-ray diffraction of the central area of an ASTM No. 1 dumbbell prepared by injection molding.

A crystalline propyleiie block-copolymer composition exhibiting superior flowability upon molding for use in automobile parts, which composition comprises 41 to 71% by weight of a crystalline propylene block-copolymer composed of a propylene homopolymer portion (Fp) and an ethylene/propylene random copolymer portion (Fc) and having an ethylene content of 1 to 10% by weight and a melt flow rate (MFR) of 20 to 100 g/10 min.; 12 to 22% by weight of a first hydrogenated product of a block-copolymer having a relatively smaller stylene content; 2 to 12% by weight of a second hydrogenated product of a block-copolymer having a relatively greater stylene content; and 15 to 25% by weight of talc, wherein the propylene homopolymer portion (Fp) contains 20 to 50% by weight of a low molecular weight propylene homopolymer having an MFR of 400 to 1,000 g/10 min., the average MFR being 100 to 350 g/10 min. and the isotactic pentad fraction being at least 98%, and wherein the said (Fc) has an intrinsic viscosity of 7 dl/g or higher.
