An axle assembly includes a first axle shaft, an axle housing, a first inlet port, a first outlet port, and a first oil passage. The axle housing has a first housing component that includes a first space in which at least part of the first axle shaft is disposed, a flange that is adjacent to the first space and includes a communicating hole, and a central housing component that includes a central space connected to the first space through the communicating hole of the flange. The first inlet port is disposed below an axis of the first axle shaft in the central space. The first outlet port is disposed in the first space. The first oil passage extends from the first inlet port to the first outlet port.

Axle assembly

In a liquid crystal display device that uses a TFT, a contact hole is formed to connect an image signal line. An organic film is formed so as to cover the image signal line, and a common electrode, which is a transparent electrode, is formed on the organic film. An interlayer insulating film is formed on the common electrode. A through hole is formed in the interlayer insulating film, and the diameter of the through hole is greater than the diameter of the contact hole.

Liquid crystal display device

In a liquid crystal display device that uses a top gate TFT, a contact hole is formed to connect to an image signal line. An inorganic passivation film and an organic passivation film are formed in this order so as to cover the TFT, on which a common electrode is formed. Then, an interlayer insulating film is formed on the common electrode. A through hole for gas release is formed in the interlayer insulating film. The diameter of the through hole is greater than the diameter of the contact hole, so as to be able to easily release gas from the organic passivation film, and to prevent the interlayer insulating film from peeling off.

Thin film transistors for a display device each include a semiconductor layer made of polysilicon having a channel region, drain and source regions at both sides of the channel region and doped with impurity of high concentration, and an LDD region arranged either between the drain region and the channel region or between the source region and the channel region and doped with impurity of low concentration. An insulation film is formed over an upper surface of the semiconductor layer and has a film thickness which decreases in a step-like manner as it extends to the channel region, the LDD region, the drain and the source regions; and a gate electrode is formed over the channel region through the insulation film. Such a constitution can enhance the numerical aperture and can suppress the magnitude of stepped portions in a periphery of the thin film transistor.

Display device with an improved contact hole arrangement for contacting a semiconductor layer through an insulation film

A color cathode ray tube has an electron gun, a phosphor screen, and a shadow mask closely spaced from the phosphor screen. The shadow mask has plural strips extending in a direction perpendicular to a horizontal scanning direction of electron beams emitted from the electron gun and plural bridge portions connecting adjacent ones among the plural strips. The shadow mask is formed with an aperture area having plural slot-shaped electron beam apertures therein. The shadow mask is provided with at least one wire held under tension in the extending direction of the plural strips so as to be superposed on a surface of one of the plural strips in the aperture area. The surface of the one of the plural strips is a surface of the one of the plural strips facing the electron gun.

Color cathode ray tube having an improved shadow mask

A cathode ray tube has a vacuum envelope including a panel portion having a phosphor screen, a neck portion having a stem fused and sealed to one end thereof, and a funnel portion for connecting the other end of the neck portion and the panel portion. The stem has stem pins annularly arrayed, sealed thereto and extending there-through for supporting an electron gun in the neck portion, and a stem mound is raised and formed integrally with the stem around a base of each of the stem pins on an electron-gun-supporting side thereof. The stem is provided with a raised outer circular edge or a flat outer circular edge. A first distance R,is defined as a distance from a center axis of the neck portion to an inner wall in a region of the neck portion facing a major portion of the electron gun, and a second distance R,is defined as a distance from the center axis to an outside edge of the stem mound as measured at half an axial height of the stem mound. The first distance R,and the second distance R,satisfy a relationship, 0<R,R,<2.1 mm.

Narrow-neck CRT having a large stem pin circle

A cathode ray tube has a vacuum envelope including a panel portion having a phosphor screen, a neck portion having a stem fused and sealed to one end thereof, and a funnel portion for connecting the other end of the neck portion and the panel portion. The stem includes plural stem pins annularly arrayed, sealed thereto and extending therethrough for supporting an electron gun in the neck portion. An outside diameter of the neck portion in a region thereof facing a major portion of the electron gun is not more than 29.1 mm. A stem mound is raised and formed integrally with the stem around a base of each of the stem pins on an electron-gun-supporting side thereof. A first distance R1 and a second distance R2 satisfy a relationship, 0&lt;R1-R2&lt;2.1 mm, where the first distance R1 is a distance from the center axis of the neck portion to an inner wall in the region of the neck portion facing the major portion of the electron gun and the second distance R2 is a distance from the center axis to an outside edge of the stem mound as measured at half an axial height of the stem mound. The number of stem pins can be ten and the plural stem pins can include two stem pins for applying focus voltages to two focus electrodes of the electron gun.

A cathode ray tube includes a panel portion having a phosphor screen, a neck portion having a stem fused and sealed to one end thereof, the stem having a plurality of stem pins annularly arrayed, sealed thereto and extending therethrough for supporting an electron gun in the neck portion and a funnel portion for connecting the other end of the neck and panel portions. A stem mound is raised and formed integrally with the stem around a base of each of the stem pins on an electron-gun-supporting side thereof. A first R1 is defined as a distance from a center axis of portion to an inner wall in a region of the neck portion facing a major portion of the electron gun, a second distance R2 is defined as a distance from the center axis tide edge of the stem mound, measured at half an axis of the stem mound, the first distance R1 and the second distance R2 satisfy a relationship, 0&lt;R1-R2&lt;2.1 mm. A wall thickness of a region of the neck portion in the vicinity of the fused and sealed regions of the neck portion and the stem is smaller than a wall thickness of a region of the neck portion facing the major portion of the electron gun.

In a thin film magnetic disk, a micro projections are formed on a substrate in a circumferential direction. A height of the micro projections is several nm to several tens of nm and a density of the micro projections is several hundred pcs/mm to several tens of thousands of pcs/mm.sup.2. With this arrangement, a magnetic disk fulfilling a head floating characteristic of a narrow space and further fulfilling a mechanical anti-sliding characteristic such as a contact start-stops characteristic and a head stickiness and the like is provided so that high reliability is attained. In the thin film magnetic disk, a bearing ratio curve of a sectional shape measured in a radial direction of the textured substrate has a bearing ratio of 0.1 to 10% at the surface layer (a cutting height of 5 to 10 nm). In this way, a pressure receiving area under a sliding of the magnetic head is increased.

Magnetic disk and its manufacturing method

A cathode ray tube includes a vacuum envelope formed of a panel portion having a phosphor screen on its inner surface and suspending a shadow mask therein, a neck portion having a stem sealed to one end thereof and a funnel portion for connecting the other end of the neck portion and the panel-portion. The stem has a plurality of stem pins annularly arrayed, sealed thereto and extending therethrough for supporting an electron gun in the neck portion. A stem mound is raised and formed integrally with the stem around a base of each of stem pins on a electron-gun-supporting side thereof. A first distance R1 is defined as a distance from a center axis of the neck portion to an inner wall in a region of the neck portion facing a major portion of the electron gun, a second distance R2 is defined as a distance from the center axis to an outside edge of the stem mound, measured at half an axial height of said stem mound, and a third distance is defined as a distance from an inner wall to the center axis. The third distance is not smaller than the first distance R1 at least in a region of the neck portion facing the stem mounds except in the vicinity of fused and sealed regions of the neck portion and the stem, and the first R1 distance and the second distance R2 satisfy a relationship, 0&lt;R1-R2&lt;2.1 mm.

The present invention relates to a magnetic disk unit of a high memory capacity wherein a magnetic head and a magnetic disk with a lubricant layer formed on the surface thereof are allowed to perform a relative motion in a mutually contacted state to write and read out information of a high recording density, and the invention is also concerned with the shape and material of the magnetic head suitable for a continual sliding motion of the head on the magnetic disk surface, as well as the lubricant layer formed on the disk surface. According to the present invention, the magnetic head, which has a slider surface of a predetermined curvature, is supported by an arm through a spring and is pushed onto the magnetic disk surface with the lubricant layer formed thereon, then with rotation of the magnetic disk, the lubricant layer liquefies and information is recorded or read out in a contacted state of the head and the disk. The distance between the magnetic head and the disk surface can be shortened to a great extent and the recording density of the magnetic disk can be increased remarkably, thereby permitting a larger capacity of the magnetic disk unit.
