A sheet handling apparatus is presented that includes a first module arranged along a sheet conveyance route from the upstream to the downstream thereof, and a second module arranged adjacent to the first module. The first module includes a first control part to transmit destination information and category information of discriminated sheets and to execute conveyance control to the sheet residing along the first conveyance route. The second module includes a second control part to execute conveyance control to the sheets residing along the second conveyance route, and to transmit information of the number of sheets in each category stacked in the first stacking device. The first control part is configured to execute a cross-check to determine whether the information of the number of sheets in each category received from the second control part matches the information of the number of sheets transmitted to the second control part.

Sheet handling device/method with multiple control

A sheet processing apparatus and a sheet take-out apparatus that prevents a sheet conveyed by a take-out portion from hanging-down and falling, when the take-out portion is stopped due to an emergency. If a take-out emergency process state occurs during the take-out of sheets, the sheet take-out apparatus stops upward movement of a backup plate, moves down feed stoppers, and presses a sheet bundle from above to prevent the sheet on the uppermost surface from being taken out. The sheet take-out apparatus also keeps a rotor air valve on and takes out the sheet caught in a sheet take-in port. When residual sheets on the backup plate are later detected, the sheet take-out apparatus moves down the position of the backup plate, turns off air valves for the rotor, fixed absorbing unit, and handling, and loads a hanging-down sheet on the backup plate, to prevent the sheet from scattering.

Sheet processing apparatus, sheet take-out apparatus, and sheet take-out method thereof

To provide a sheet processing apparatus and an electromagnetic locking method of a stacking device for unlocking a stacking device cover when a door of the sheet processing apparatus is closed, shortening the power supply time of an electromagnetic lock, suppressing power consumption, and displaying permission of access to the stacking device. When a condition of unlocking a stacking portion and opening of the door is detected, the electromagnetic lock is held in an unlocking state and a cover opening-closing permission display lamp is turned on. After end of an operation by an operator, if the closing of the door is detected by a door detection device, the electromagnetic lock of the stacking device is turned off and the lamp is turned off. As a result, an unlocking condition is held when no power is supplied to a solenoid. Further, when a condition of locking the stacking portion occurs, if the opening of the door is detected, the electromagnetic lock is turned on, and the lamp is turned off, and after the operation ends, if the closing of the door is detected, the electromagnetic lock is turned off and the lamp is turned off.

Sheet processing apparatus and electromagnetic locking method of stacking device

A paper sheet processing apparatus includes a plurality of bundling devices, and a plurality of chute devices which temporarily hold bundles, which are bundled by the bundling devices. A second transfer conveyor, which is slower than a first transfer conveyor, is disposed on a downstream side of the first conveyor. A transmission sensor, which detects abnormality in length of the bundle, is provide along the second conveyor. The distance from a release position of the bundle from the chute device, which is located on a most downstream side, to a terminal end of the first conveyor and the length of the second conveyor are set such that a time until the bundle, which is released from the most downstream chute device, is transferred onto the second conveyor is longer than at least a time until the bundle, which is transferred from the first conveyor, passes through the second conveyor.
