An acrylic fiber for artificial hair may include an acrylic copolymer. The acrylic fiber has a fiber cross section including 2 to 4 T-shaped protrusions that extend radially from a central portion. Each of the T-shaped protrusions has an arc-shaped upper side that bulges in a direction away from the central portion. A circumradius of the fiber cross section is 40.0 to 60.0 μm. A distance between adjacent end portions of the corresponding upper sides of the adjacent T-shaped protrusions is 3.0 to 60.0 μm. An axial width is 10.0 μm or more. Torsional rigidity of the acrylic fiber is 0.30 to 2.0 mg·cm. The acrylic fiber for artificial hair has high volume, good texture, and good twist processability, and a hair ornament may include the acrylic fiber for artificial hair.

An adhesive resin composition, including: a base resin which comprises (A) 30-90 parts by weight of a modified ethylene-olefin copolymer, and (B) 70-10 parts by weight of a styrene thermoplastic elastomer, provided that (A)+(B) equals 100 parts by weight; and (C) a tackifier in an amount of 30-60 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the base resin, the modified ethylene-olefin copolymer being one which has been graft-modified with (a) an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof and (b) an aromatic vinyl monomer, comprises 0.1%-5% by weight of (a) the unsaturated carboxylic acid or the derivative thereof, and has a melting point peak in a range of 100-150&#xb0; C. with an enthalpy of crystal fusion of 0.5-10 J/g as determined by DSC.

Provided is an ion-exchange fiber including a polymer A obtained by introducing an ion-exchangeable substituent to 100 parts by weight of an acrylic polymer that is obtained by polymerization of a monomer composition containing 30 % by weight or more of acrylonitrile with respect to 100 % by weight of the composition and a polymer B obtained by introducing an ion-exchangeable substituent to 1 part by weight or more and 100 parts by weight or less of an epoxy group-containing polymer. Each ion-exchangeable substituent is introduced by reaction with an amine compound and is an ion-exchangeable substituent derived from the amine compound. A method for producing the ion-exchange fiber is also provided.

The present invention relates to a flame retardant which is a graft copolymer. The graft copolymer is obtained by polymerizing a vinyl monomer containing at least two polymerizable groups, and at least one other vinyl monomer, in the presence of polyorganosiloxane particles in a latex state. The polyorganosiloxane particles contain grafting agents that are unevenly distributed on the surface thereof. The present invention also relates to thermoplastic resins containing this flame retardant.
