The transform arithmetic operations by spatial image transform matrixes and perspective transform matrixes to a screen surface thereon are executed on source video signal representing two-dimensional image so as to generate left-eye and right-eye video signals. A cassette loading mechanism for loading a magnetic tape cassette, which has a front pivotal closure member openable for covering or exposing a front opening of the magnetic tape cassette, in a recording and/or reproducing apparatus includes a cassette holder which is movable between an eject position, at which the cassette can be inserted into or removed from the cassette holder, a lowered position vertically offset from the eject position, and a loaded position horizontally offset from said lowered position and at which cassette loading is completed. The upper portion of the cassette holder is covered with a cassette holder lid which has a recessed portion so that the front pivotal closure member may be moved to open in synchronism with movement of the cassette holder from the eject position to the lowered position. The cassette holder lid and the cassette holder are moved in unison.

In a cassette type recording and/or reproducing apparatus, such as an 8-mm VTR with a built-in camera, in which a tape cassette is so installed on a chassis as to have a pair of tape reels therein engaged with a pair of reel disks and then, a tape is drawn from the tape cassette by a tape loading means so as to be wound around a rotary head drum, the tape cassette is moved together with the reel disks toward the rotary head drum, after placed on the chassis on which the reel disks are provided, so that it becomes easy to make the cassette type recording and/or reproducing apparatus compact, while maintaining high tape-running stability and high recording and reproducing precisions.
