An apparatus for winding a wire onto a one-piece deflection yoke frame is such that the wire is fed from a winding supply source to a nozzle unit. A guide mechanism for holding the wire from the nozzle unit draws the wire to a work piece which is disposed on a work receiving base. The wire is then clamped by a wire clamp and wound onto the work piece by a predetermined sequence of movements of the nozzle unit, the guide mechanism and rotation of the work receiving base.

Method and apparatus for winding a wire on a work piece

The invention provides a coil winding apparatus which is simplified in structure, reduced in cost and improved in operation efficiency. The coil winding apparatus comprises a housing intermittently rotatable around a fixed axis between first and second positions, a plurality of spindles mounted for rotation on front and rear faces of the housing, a pair of drive sections including a bidirectional motor and provided independently of each other for transmitting rotation of the motor to rotate the spindles, an insulation sheet supply section opposed to the spindles on one of the faces of the housing when the housing is at any of the first and second positions for supplying films to bobbins mounted on the spindles, and a wire supply section for supplying wires to bobbins mounted on the other spindles. Since the drive sections are provided independently of each other for the different spindles, the directions and the speeds of rotation of the spindles can be set arbitrarily.

Coil winding apparatus

A coil winding apparatus includes a wire feed assembly having a wire feed nozzle that can be moved along a first axis (Z-axis) parallel to the center axis of a core and along a second axis (X-axis) perpendicular to the first axis and that can also be moved and positioned inside and outside the core, a guide device having a guide member is capable of catching a wire fed through the wire feed nozzle and can also be moved along the first and second axes and positioned relative to the core. A guide member guides the wire to a first circumferential groove, to a second circumferential groove, and to slots, all of which are formed in the core. A core holding device is included for holding and indexing the core during the coil winding operation.
