A fuel supplying apparatus is disclosed that suppresses intrusion of oil mist into a negative pressure introducing inlet of an automatic cock and that, thereby, improves the degree of freedom of disposition. The negative pressure introducing inlet of the automatic cock is connected to a crankcase through a negative pressure communication path. The automatic cock is opened by a negative pressure generated in the crankcase and, thereby, a fuel supply path is opened that is for supplying fuel from a fuel tank to an internal combustion engine. The negative pressure communication path communicates with the air cleaner through a purge path that branches from the negative pressure communication path at a halfway point of the negative pressure communication path. The point at which the purge path branches from the negative pressure communication path is set to be at the lowest position of the negative pressure communication path to be able to collect the oil mist intruding from the crankcase.

Fuel supplying apparatus for internal combustion engine

A fuel supplying apparatus that opens a fuel supply path using a negative pressure in a crankcase of an internal combustion engine is disclosed. A negative pressure introducing inlet of an automatic cock is connected to the crankcase of the internal combustion engine through a negative pressure communication path. A negative pressure generated in the crankcase opens an automatic cock and, thereby, the fuel supply path is opened that is to supply fuel from a fuel tank to the internal combustion engine. The negative pressure communication path communicates with a communication opening of an air cleaner through a purge path that branches from the negative pressure communication path at a halfway point thereof. The communication opening is disposed on a cleaning chamber that is formed in an air cleaner such that air filtered by an air filter flows into the communication opening. An airflow resistance increasing unit is disposed only in the inside of the communication opening, for setting an airflow resistance of the purge path to be higher than an airflow resistance of the negative pressure communication path.

An engine generator including an engine, a generator and an air cleaner inside a case is disclosed. A wall section of the case is dented in the internal direction of the case to provide a filter accommodation section with a space for accommodating a filter. The space has an opening that opens toward the exterior of the case. The filter accommodation section has an outside-air intake port. The opening is blocked by an air cleaner cover.

Engine generator

An engine-driven work machine equipped with a moving handle is provided wherein the moving handle () is formed from a pair of left and right handle bars () having a handle grip () at the extremity, and a cross member () integrally connecting middle parts of the handle bars () to each other, and the two handle bars () are mounted in upper parts of left and right side frames () of a frame () so that the two handle bars () can pivot between a working position (A) in which the two handle bars () protrude from the frame () and a storage position (B) in which, with the handle grip () facing downward, the handle bars () in cooperation with the cross member () function as a bumper. When the moving handle is not used, it can be folded compactly, and equipment on the frame can thereby be protected from contact with another object by utilizing the handle.

Engine-driven work machine

In an electric working machine, a scroll portion is provided at one of left and right sides of a machine body, and a relay member functioning as a power switch in which a power on/off key is removably inserted is provided at the other side of the machine body. The relay member is provided between a motor-driving battery and a control section so that the battery and control section can be electrically connected with each other by insertion, in the relay member, of the power on/off key and disconnected from each other by removal, from the relay member, of the power on/off key.

Electric working machine

A lawn mower comprises a power source for rotatably driving an output shaft, a housing having an interior space having a generally spiral-shaped portion, and a cutting blade disposed in the interior space of the housing and connected to the output shaft for rotation therewith to cut grass. The rotating cutting blade coacts with the spiral-shaped portion of the interior space to generate a swirling air flow that causes the cut grass to swirl within the interior space. A grass discharge passage communicates with the interior space of the housing and discharges therethrough grass cut by the cutting blade and swirling within the interior space of the housing. A pivotal shutter is pivoted about a generally vertical axis by manual operation of a control member to open and close the grass discharge passage. The pivotal shutter comprises a pivotal shaft and a unitary shutter member mounted on the pivotal shaft to undergo pivotal movement therewith for opening and closing the grass discharge passage.

Lawn mower

A portable engine generator has a box-shaped case defining an internal space for holding an engine and an electric generator to be driven by the engine. The case is provided with carrying handles. The portable engine generator is provided with a cooling air passage through which fresh air as cooling air flows into the internal space while the engine is in operation. An inward depressed part is formed in a front cover of the case on the side of the internal space with respect to the carrying handles. The carrying handles and the inward depressed part define the cooling air passage. The cooling air passage serves as a hand space into which human hand is inserted to grip the carrying handles.

Portable engine operated machine

A bush cutting machine including has an operation rod, a cutter blade mounted to the front end of the operation rod for undergoing rotation, and a prime mover mounted to the rear end of the operation rod for rotationally driving the cutter blade. A throttle lever is pivotally mounted with respect to the operation rod for controlling an opening degree of a throttle valve of the prime mover to adjust a rotational speed of the cutter blade. A brake unit stops rotation of the cutter blade. A link mechanism is disposed in close proximity to the prime mover and is actuated by operation of the throttle lever to adjust the degree of opening of the throttle valve of the prime mover and to release the brake unit from a braking condition.

Bush cutting machine

A lawn mower has a power source for rotationally driving an output shaft. A housing has an interior space having a generally spiral-shaped portion. A cutting blade is disposed in the interior space of the housing and is connected to the output shaft for rotation therewith to cut grass while the spiral-shaped portion of the interior space generates a swirling airflow allowing the cut grass to swirl within the interior space. An enclosure is connected to the housing and has a grass discharge passage having an inlet opening disposed in communication with the interior space of the housing for discharging grass cut by the cutting blade and swirling within the interior space of the housing. A guiding member is disposed in the interior space of the housing for gradually changing a direction of the swirling airflow and the swirling cut grass and for guiding the swirling airflow and the swirling cut grass toward the grass discharge passage of the enclosure.

Lawn mower guide and discharge

In an electric lawn mower, a rechargeable battery and an electric motor activatable by the battery are mounted in a machine body section, and a cutter blade is provided within a cutter housing and rotatable via the electric motor to cut grass. Cover member collectively covers the battery and electric motor. The cover member is shaped to progressively slant upward in a front-to-rear direction of the machine body section, and the cover member has an opening formed in its lower front end portion and an air vent formed in its rear end portion to thereby permit ventilation from the opening to the air vent such that the battery and electric motor can be cooled by air flows.

Electric lawn mower

A bush cutting machine has a relay member mounted to undergo movement by actuation of a throttle lever to adjust the opening degree of a throttle valve and to release a brake unit from a braking condition. A first wire has first and second ends each connected to a respective one of the throttle lever and a first portion of the relay member so that pivotal movement of the throttle lever pulls the second end of the first wire in a pulling direction from a standby condition to an operative condition. A first end of each of second and third wires is connected to a respective one of the throttle valve and the brake unit.

A working machine has an operation switching lever mounted on a handle in the vicinity of a handle grip and is arranged to be manipulated by one of the hands of the operator to transmit or interrupt a driving force outputted from the drive source to the working tool. A drive switching lever is mounted on the handle and is arranged to be manipulated by one of the hands of the operator to operate a continuously variable transmission to switch driving wheels from a halt condition to a high-speed advancement condition. A disc is mounted on the handle for undergoing rotational movement relative to the drive switching lever. A control member positions the disc at a preselected angular position relative to the drive switching lever to regulate an amount of pivotal movement of the drive switching lever for adjusting a rotational speed of the driving wheels.

Walk-behind, self-propelled working machine

A bush cutting apparatus has a first rotational shaft mounted for undergoing rotation and a cutter blade connected to the first rotational shaft for rotation therewith. A clutch mechanism has a rotational member, at least one clutch moving member mounted on the rotational member for undergoing movement along a radial direction of the rotational member, a clutch drum mounted on the first rotational shaft for sliding movement therealong to engage the clutch moving member, and a clutch resilient member for biasing the clutch moving member toward an axial centerline of the rotational member. A brake mechanism has a brake shoe formed at an end portion of the clutch drum, a brake pad disposed opposite to and confronting the brake shoe, and a braking resilient member for biasing the brake shoe into pressure contact with the brake pad. A drive source has a second rotational shaft for selectively rotating the rotational member of the clutch mechanism at rotational speeds higher or lower than a preselected rotational speed. The second rotational shaft is axially spaced from and operatively connected to the first rotational shaft via the clutch mechanism and the brake mechanism for rotationally driving the first rotational shaft.

Bush cutting apparatus

A lawn mower includes a grass discharge passage extending rearward from a housing A grass receptacle is removably mounted to the discharge passage via a receptacle mounted portion. A shutter is provided at a passage opening of the grass discharge passage facing the housing. The shutter is rotatably provided within the housing to adjust the degree of opening of the passage opening. The lawn mower is switched between a bagging mode, a mulching mode and an intermediate mode by the opening control with the shutter.

Lawn mower discharge shutter

A lawn mower includes a mower body and a grass bag provided at the rear of the mower body. The mower body has a cutter deck rotatably accommodating a cutter blade, a carrying passage for guiding grass clippings into the grass bag, and an air return passage for guiding only air from the grass bag into the cutter deck. Cutter deck-facing openings of the air return passage are opened in line with the rotating track of airlifts provided at the opposite ends of the cutter blade. A swirling airflow inside the cutter deck induced by the rotation of the cutter blade is in the same direction as that of air returned via the air return passage, resulting in a smooth airflow inside the cutter deck.
