A treatment bed arranged in a tip direction of an irradiation nozzle and constructed movably, a treatment information system that manages prescription data, a treatment control system that receives a target position stored in the treatment information system to cause a main display system to display the target position, a pendant to input a movement command for the treatment bed, the main display system that receives the target position of the treatment bed from the treatment control system and displays an actual position of the treatment bed, and a patient positioning support system that calculates correction values for the target position thereof to provide the correction values to the treatment control system and the pendant are included, wherein the treatment control system sends the target position thereof to the treatment information system at a period shorter than an operation sequence thereof and stores initial values to be sent in advance.

Particle therapy system

The particle therapy system includes a particle beam generator for generating a particle beam; an irradiation nozzle arranged in a treatment room and irradiating a target with the particle beam; a particle beam transport system communicating the particle beam generator with the irradiation nozzle; an X-ray imaging device arranged in the treatment room and imaging the position of the target through irradiation with X-rays; a dosimeter arranged at a position passed by the particle beam in the irradiation nozzle; and a control apparatus performing control to exclude the measurement result of the X-rays from the measurement result obtained using the dosimeter when the X-rays are emitted during treatment.

An object of the present invention is to easily maintain the couch positioning accuracy and reduce the couch positioning time while resolving the complexity of input operations by the operator at the time of couch positioning. To accomplish the above object, calculation points are set to a CT image at the time of treatment planning, and the 3D coordinates of the set calculation point are set to a DRR image. When a couch positioning unitloads the DRR image from an image server, it reads the coordinates of calculation points set to the DRR image and displays them on the monitortogether with the DRR image. Further, when DR image data is loaded into the couch positioning unit, the DR image is displayed on the monitorand calculation points set to the DRR image are set also to the DR image.

Couch positioning system for radiotherapy, treatment plan unit, and couch positioning unit

A positioning system for radiation therapy comprises a patient positioner drive unit for moving a patient positioner supporting a patient, a snout drive unit for rotating a snout including a collimator set therein, and a processing unit for controlling the snout drive unit and the patient positioner drive unit such that the positioning of the patient is performed by moving the patient positioner supporting the patient after the positioning of the collimator has been performed by rotating the snout including the collimator set therein. Exposure of the patient to X-rays irradiated for the positioning can be reduced.
