Provided is an engine capable of performing post-injection control with a proper fuel injection amount. The engine () comprises an engine body () equipped with a turbocharger (), an engine rotational speed sensor (), an acceleration opening degree sensor (), a boost sensor (), a turbo sensor (), and an ECU () for performing post-injection control. The ECU () recognizes the rotational speed of the engine, the supercharging pressure, the load on the engine, and the rotational speed of the supercharger, and so performs the post-injection control that the rotational speed of the supercharger becomes equal to the target rotational speed of the supercharger calculated in the ECU ().

Turbocharged engine with post fuel injection control

An engine provided with a variable parallel supercharging system () comprising a first supercharger () which is driven by exhaust gas which flows in a first exhaust gas route () and which pressurizes intake air which flows in a first intake air route () and also comprising a second supercharger () which is driven by exhaust gas which flows in a second exhaust gas route () and which pressurizes intake air which flows in a second intake air route (), a supercharging pressure sensor () for detecting the pressure of the pressurized intake air, a first supercharger rotation sensor () for detecting the rotational speed of the first supercharger (), a second supercharger rotation sensor () for detecting the rotational speed of the second supercharger (), a first variable actuator () for adjusting the capacity of the first supercharger (), a second variable actuator () for adjusting the capacity of the second supercharger (), and a control device for controlling each of the variable actuators (). The control device controls the first variable actuator () based on detection signals from the supercharging pressure sensor () and the first supercharger rotation sensor () and controls the second variable actuator () based on detection signals from the supercharging pressure sensor () and the second supercharger rotation sensor ().

Engine

Turbines and compressors, which constitute superchargers, are disposed in series on an exhaust gas passage and an air intake passage, respectively. The supercharger is equipped with a supercharger rotation sensor, which transmits a detection signal obtained according to the rotation of the compressor to a control device, a bypass passage, which bypasses exhaust gas from the upstream side to the downstream side of the turbine, and a bypass valve, which regulates the flow rate of exhaust gas flowing through the bypass passage. Control device regulates the rotational speed of the compressors in a high-efficiency range by producing a control signal based on the detection signal from the supercharger rotation sensor, and sending the control signal to the bypass valve.

An engine () provided with a variable series supercharging system () composed of a high-pressure supercharger () and a low-pressure supercharger (), a supercharging pressure sensor () for detecting the pressure of intake air pressurized by the variable series supercharging system (), a high-pressure supercharger rotation sensor () for detecting the rotational speed of the high-pressure supercharger (), a variable actuator () for adjusting the capacity of the high-pressure supercharger (), and a control device () capable of controlling the variable actuator (). The control device () controls the variable actuator () based on detection signals from the supercharging pressure sensor () and the high-pressure supercharger rotation sensor ().

An engine in which a fluctuation in the amount of fuel injection is reduced in the entire operating tolerance of the engine. The engine () has an engine body () provided with a turbocharger (), an engine speed sensor (), a turbo sensor (), a boost sensor (), and an ECU () for correcting the amount of fuel injection. A control means recognizes an engine speed, a supercharging pressure, a supercharger speed, a fuel injection amount and corrects the fuel injection amount.

It is an object to provide an engine that makes it possible to constantly detect the number of rotations of a supercharger with a calculation load of an ECU reduced. An engineis provided with an engine basecomprised of a plurality of cylinders and a turbocharger, a crank angle sensor, a turbo sensorthat detects rotations of the turbochargeras pulses, an amplifierthat divides the pulses by an arbitrary division ratio and calculates the divided pulses, and an ECUthat judges a surge condition of the turbocharger, wherein the ECUsets a predetermined position of a piston of each cylinder in a crank angle of the engine baseto count start timing of the divided pulses, outputs the divided pulses counted from the count start timing to the number of predetermined rotations as a first output, and judges that, if a difference between the first outputs at every cylinder is more than a predetermined value, the turbochargeris in the surge condition.

In an engine equipped with a supercharger consisting of a compressor having a plurality of blades on a turbine shaft and a turbine, at least one index means provided on the turbine shaft or the plurality of blades, and a turbo angular velocity sensor, which detects a rotation of the index means and a rotation of the plurality of blades respectively and connected to an ECU. In the engine, also, a turbo angular velocity computing means, which calculates an angular velocity by obtaining a plurality of pulses per one rotation of the turbine shaft, is provided.

Engine with supercharger

In a diesel engine equipped with an injectorhaving a plurality of intersections between an axis line of the injectorand the axes of injection holesbored in the injector, an air intake valveis controlled so that it is closed at timing before a BDC (at timing when a piston comes to a bottom dead center) by an ECU, which controls the timing of closing the air intake valvebased on operating conditions of the engine.

Method of controlling valve timing of diesel engine

A fuel injection control method for controlling fuel injection to a plurality of cylinders of an engine is disclosed. The method involves the use of a fuel injection control device that includes a key switch, an engine rotation sensor, and a controller, wherein the key switch initiates an engine stopping operation, engine rotation sensor recognizes fuel injection to a specific cylinder, and then the controller stops fuel injection. A phase difference is provided between fuel injection of the specific engine and that of another engine so as to control fuel injection.
