Walking operator type lawn mower

A walking operator type lawn mower comprising a steering handle extending rearwardly thereof, a cutting blade clutch for making and breaking drive transmission to a cutting blade, and a clutch lever pivotable between a clutch engaging position adjacent the steering handle and a declutching position away from the steering handle. A manually operable interlocking member and a control device are provided between the clutch lever and the cutting blade clutch. The control device is constantly urged to a position to disengage the clutch. The interlocking member is switchable between a position to interlock the clutch lever and the control device and a position to release the two components from each other, and is constantly urged to the release position. The cutting blade clutch is engaged only when the interlocking member is maintained in the interlocking position and the clutch lever is moved to the clutch engaging position.

Clutch control structure for a walking operator type lawn mower

A grass collecting container attached to a walking type grass mower and the like. The grass collecting container has a container body, a mesh member for dividing space inside the container body between a ventilating space and a mowed grass depositing section, ventilating openings defined in right and left side walls of the container body, a convex portion defined in an upper wall of the container body and a handle disposed inside the convex portion for forming a substantially same plane as an upper face of the container body. The mesh member is downwardly inclined at right and left end portions thereof and at the same time the mesh member is placed in secure contact with a face of the convex portion inwardly of the container body.

Grass collecting container for grass mower

A grass collection bag suited for use with a walking operator type lawn mower having a cutting blade and a steering handle extending rearwardly, which grass collection bag is removably attached to the steering handle to extend in a fore-and-aft direction of the lawn mower. The grass collection bag comprises a tubular main body portion defining a grass inlet at a forward end thereof and a grass outlet at a rear end thereof, and a lid member attached to the main body portion to be vertically swingable about an axis adjacent a lower rear edge of the main body portion for opening and closing the grass outlet. The main body portion includes a first engagement member extending along an upper rear edge thereof, and the lid member includes a second engagement member extending along a free end edge thereof. One of the first and second engagement members defines a slit which is vertically directed when in an engaged position, and the other defines a projection engageable with the slit.
