A thin layer liquid film type evaporator including a cylindrical heating column, a heater for heating the cylindrical heating column, a liquid film forming plate disposed in the cylindrical heating column, a baffle also disposed in the cylindrical heating column and a feed nozzle disposed at the upper center of the cylindrical heating column. The liquid film forming plate has an outer diameter such that a clearance may be formed between the outer edge thereof and the inner circumferential surface of the heating column and that the liquid may flow through the clearance. Thus, a thin layer liquid film type evaporator which has a simple mechanism and can exhibit excellent evaporation efficiency can be provided.

This invention relates to an electrical insulating oil consisting essentially of a oil having a boiling point of not less than 150.degree. C., a viscosity of 2 to 500 centistokes (at 40.degree. C.), a pour point of not more than -35.degree. C., a sulfur content of from more than 5 ppm to not more than 1,000 ppm, an aromatic hydrocarbon content (%C.sub.A) of more than 5% and a cloud point of less than -25.degree. C.

Electrical insulating oils

This invention relates to an electrical insulating oil consisting essentially of a oil having a boiling point of not less than 150.degree. C., a viscosity of 2 to 500 centistokes (at 40.degree. C.), a pour point of not more than -35.degree. C., a sulfur content of from more than 5 ppm to not more than 1,000 ppm and an aromatic hydrocarbon content (% C.sub.A) of more than 5%.

This invention relates to electric insulating oils consisting of mineral oils having boiling point of 200.degree. C. or higher, preferably from 250.degree. to 450.degree. C., and having a viscosity of from 2 to 500 cst (at 40.degree. C.), pour point of -35.degree. C. or below, a sulfur content of 5 ppm or less and an aromatic hydrocarbon content (% C.sub.A) of 5% or less.

Electric insulating oils

A lubricant for improving fatigue life is described, which comprises: (1) a lubricating base material, and (2) a compound having alkylthiocarbamoyl groups represented by the general formula (i): ##STR1## or (1) a lubricating base material, (2) a compound having alkylthiocarbamoyl groups represented by the general formula (i), (3) a molybdenum compound represented by the general formula (ii): ##STR2## or by the general formula (iii): ##STR3## and/or an ester compound. All the symbols in the formulae are as defined in the appended claims. This lubricant greatly prolongs the fatigue life of gears, etc.

Lubricants for improving fatigue life

A refrigerator oil composition is described, comprising: (1) at least one of mineral oil and synthetic oil and (2) at least one of (a) 15-crown-5, (b) a derivative of 15-crown-5, and (c) a glycidyl compound represented by the general formula: ##STR1## (wherein R is hydrogen or an alkyl group containing from 1 to 5 carbon atoms). This composition exhibits high stability when in contact with halogen-containing refrigerants and is limited in the formation of hydrogen chloride, for example, resulting from its reaction with the halogen-containing refrigerants. Thus the refrigerator oil composition of the invention is useful as a lubricant for refrigerators.
