A technical problem is to fully make up for a restricted upper limit to the preform body wall thickness. An object is to provide a bottle which is narrow-mouthed and yet has a substantially expanded body. In principle, the bottle may include a mouth opening portion with a bore diameter of 10 mm or less and a maximum diameter of the body is 2.5 times or more than the bore diameter of the mouth opening portion, and wherein a maximum diameter portion of the body has a minimum wall thickness of 0.45 mm or more.

Synthetic resin bottle

A bottle is a bottle formed of synthetic resin materials in a cylindrical shape with a bottom. A bottom wall portion in a bottom portion thereof includes a grounding portion positioned at an outer circumferential edge thereof, a rising circumferential wall portion connected to the grounding portion from an inside of a bottle radial direction and extending upward, a movable wall portion protruding from an upper end part of the rising circumferential wall portion toward the inside of the bottle radial direction, and a recessed circumferential wall portion extending upward from an inner end part in the bottle radial direction of the movable wall portion. The movable wall portion is arranged to be movable upward together with the recessed circumferential wall portion, around a connected portion with the rising circumferential wall portion. A plurality of ribs are arranged in the movable wall portion radially around a bottle axis.

The movable wall portion is freely rotatably provided having a connected portion with the rising circumferential wall portion as a center so as to move the recessed circumferential wall portion upward. The invention relates to a bottle container with a handle. A mounting projecting portion projects from the bottle body, and the handle member has a handle portion connected to a mounting hole that allows the mounting projecting portion to be inserted thereinto. The handle member is mounted on the bottle body by inserting the mounting projecting portion into the mounting hole, and then rotating the mounting projecting portion around a central axis of the mounting projecting portion relative to the bottle body. The inner peripheral surface of the mounting hole has an abutting portion that abuts with an engaging recessed groove in the outer surface of the mounting projecting portion. The mounting portion has a guide portion that slides on a sliding surface of the outer surface of the mounting projecting portion with the relative rotation of the handle member and the bottle body, and guides the relative rotation.

The technical problem to be solved by this invention is to develop a polyester resin container that can be retort-processed at a temperature in the range of above 120&#xb0; C. to about 130&#xb0; C. The object of this invention is to provide a polyester resin container, which is capable of improving the productivity and quality of retort foods, and a molding process thereof. The process of this invention is a double blow molding process, which comprises a primary blow molding step in which a preform is biaxially drawn and blow molded into a primary intermediate product, a thermally shrink-molding step in which the primary intermediate product is heated and forcibly shrink-molded into a secondary intermediate product, and a secondary blow molding step for blow molding the secondary intermediate product into a container, wherein a mold temperature higher than 210&#xb0; C. is used in the secondary blow molding step.

Polyester resin container and molding process thereof

This invention intends to provide a large-size bottle that can be held firmly with a hand in simple handling. This can be achieved by fitting the thumb and a co-working finger into place and stopping them from sliding upward and laterally along the body wall, and also by stopping other fingertips from sliding laterally. A pair of gripsis formed in opposed walls of the body, and each gripcomprises a main recessionhaving a relatively large depth and an auxiliary recessionextending downward from this main recession. Fingertips are stopped by the main recessionfrom sliding upward and laterally, and are also stopped by the auxiliary recessionfrom sliding predominantly in the lateral direction. Since the thumb and all fingers are utilized for bottle handling, the bottleis held firmly and stably with a hand.

The bottle is provided with a base portion installed on the outer circumference brim of the bottom, a central recess installed inside the base portion and recessed toward the inside of the bottle, an annular wall portion installed between the base portion and the central recess and inclined so as to elevate gradually from the base portion to the central recess, and a plurality of ribs installed side by side at the annular wall portion in the circumferential direction of the bottom and protruding toward the inside of the bottle. The ribs are provided with a rising wall portion rising toward the inside of the bottle and an inclined wall portion inclined from the upper brim of the rising wall portion toward the lower brim of the rising wall portion of an adjacent rib. The rising wall portion is inclined more steeply than the inclined wall portion.

A technical problem of this invention especially in the case of large-size bottles is to form a grip, without changing the bottle shape to a large extent, so that the body can be firmly held. The object of this invention is to provide a synthetic resin square bottle that can be used reliably because the bottle can be held firmly with a hand. A major means of solving the problem is a synthetic resin square bottle comprising a body having a rectangular shape in a plane cross-section and a groove-like waist portion disposed at a middle height of the bottle, wherein a pair of recessed portions for use as finger stops are formed in respective long side walls of said rectangular body over a predetermined area ranging from said waist portion downward to ensure that a plural number of fingers can be placed in at least one recessed portion for a finger stop purpose, and wherein a grip for holding the bottle is formed from both the pair of recessed portions and the waist portion.

Pinhole detection is achieved when pinholes happen to develop near stoppers used to fit a handle. A biaxially drawn synthetic resin bottle has a recessed portion, and a synthetic resin handle, fitted in an undercut engagement to the recessed portion by insert molding. The handle comprises upper and lower fitting arms disposed at a grip in a vertically long plate shape. Both arms extend forward from the grip. A stopper extends upward from a front end of the upper fitting arm, and a stopper extends upward and/or downward from a front end of the lower fitting arm. A ridge or groove is formed extending rearward of a stopper of either arm, along a top surface of the upper fitting arm or along a top surface and/or an underside surface of the lower fitting arm. A connecting passage for air release is formed along the ridge/groove.

The technical problem to be solved by this invention is to design bottle walls having such a shape as to inhibit cave-in deformation into a dented wall shape caused by recessed areas for fingerhold. The object of this invention is to provide a synthetic resin square bottle which is usable without anxiety, is excellent at firm hold, and has a high vacuum-absorbing function. In a synthetic resin square bottle comprising a body formed by multiple panel walls disposed on the body in a circumferential direction, and a waist portion made of a peripheral groove dented at a roughly middle height position of the body so as to divide each panel wall into an upper panel and a lower panel, recessed areas for fingerhold use are formed in at least a pair of opposing panel walls in a certain area ranging from the waist portion to an upper end portion of the lower panel of each panel wall, and a pair of side ribs is formed on right and left sides of, and in the vicinity of, each recessed area in the lower panel.

The invention relates to a bottle body and a handle member mounted on the bottle body. A mounting projecting portion forming a polygonal cross-sectional shape projects from the bottle body, and the handle member is provided with a mounting hole forming a substantially rectangular cross-sectional shape into which the mounting projecting portion is inserted. The handle member is mounted on the bottle body such that four side portions of the mounting hole are brought into pressure contact with a pair of lateral pressure-contacting portions and a pair of axial pressure-contacting portions on the outer peripheral edge of the polygonal cross-sectional shape by inserting the mounting projecting portion into the mounting hole, and then relatively rotating the bottle body and the handle member. Accordingly, a bottle container with a handle having simple structure and capable of firmly fixing the bottle body and the handle member to each other can be provided.

A bottle includes a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion includes a shoulder that extends away from a neck of the bottle, and a grip portion. The grip portion is recessed within the top portion of the bottle. The bottle may include a vacuum panel array and/or a rib array to help improve strength, reduce material and accommodate deformation forces tending to collapse the bottle upon filling with pasteurized contents.

Lightweight, high strength bottle

A round bottle that gives an overall impression of a slim body, while maintaining a basic shape of the round bottle and a vacuum absorbing function. An object is to provide a round synthetic resin bottle having a differentiated shape not found in conventional art. This involves narrowing down a diameter of the body in a tapered manner toward a middle height position of the body to form a tapered portion at either one of an upper end or a lower end of the basically cylindrical body and thus to form a waist portion in a narrowest part of this tapered portion, and forming a plurality of dented vacuum absorbing panels in a height range lying next to the waist portion of the body and in a configuration that each of the panels is disposed in parallel in a circumferential direction and dented by a stepped portion surrounding each panel.

The molding process comprises steps of: (1) injection molding a preform in the shape of a test tube taller than the bottle wherein the preform has a cylindrical mouth opening portion disposed in an upper part of the preform, and wherein the mouth opening portion of the preform serves also as a mouth opening portion of the bottle product; (2) thermally shrinking the preform from an initial height so that portions other than the mouth opening portion of the preform would have a height that is smaller than that of the bottle; and (3) setting this thermally shrunk preform in a blow mold and biaxially drawing and blow molding the preform into the bottle.
