A thermal transfer recording sheet comprising a substrate and an image-receiving layer formed thereon, which is thermally transferable onto a record sheet, wherein the image-receiving layer comprises a transparent receptive layer and a white opacifying layer laminated in this order on the substrate, and the opacifying layer contains a plasticizer.

Thermal transfer recording sheet

A dye transfer thermal printing sheet which can give a color record image excellent in color reproducibility and weather resistance with middle shade including black and sufficiently saturated density. This printing sheet includes a substrate on which are arranged, in face-sequence, coloring material layers which are different in hue and contain at least one dye represented by the formula (I), at least one dye represented by the formula (II) and at least one dye represented by the formula (III).

Dye transfer type thermal printing sheets

A thermal transfer recording sheet comprising a base film and an ink layer comprising at least a heat transferable colorant and a binder resin, formed on one side of the base film, wherein the binder resin is a phenoxy resin having repeating structural units of the following formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X is a bivalent group represented by ##STR2## --O--, --S--, --SO-- or --SO.sub.2 --, each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group, R.sup.3 is an alkylene group, and each of benzene rings A and B may have an alkyl group or a halogen atom as a substituent.

The present invention provides a dye transfer type thermal printing sheet which can give a color record image excellent in color reproducibility and weather resistance with middle shade including black and sufficiently saturated density. This printing sheet comprising a substrate on which are arranged, in face-sequence, coloring material layers which are different in hue and contain either of at least one dye represented by the formula (I), at least one dye represented by the formula (II) and at least one dye represented by the formulas (III)-(VI).

A thermal yellow-dye transfer sheet that comprises a base film having thereon a dye layer comprising a yellow-dye dispersed in a binder which comprises at least one dye represented by the general formula (I) and at least one dye represented by the general formula (II): ##STR1## where X is hydrogen or halogen and Y is hydrogen, COOR.sup.3 or CONR.sup.4 R.sup.5 (where R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each represents hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, allyl or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl). ##STR2## where Z is hydrogen, chlorine or a lower alkyl, and R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, allyl, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl.

Thermal dye transfer sheet

The present invention provides a dye transfer type thermal printing sheet which can give a color record image excellent in color reproducibility and weather resistance with middle shade including black and sufficiently saturated density. This printing sheet comprising a substrate on which are arranged, in face-sequence, coloring material layers which are different in hue and contain either of at least one dye represented by the formula (I), at least one dye represented by the formual (II) and at least one dye represented by the formulas (III)-(VI).

A thermal magenta-dye transfer sheet that comprises a base film having thereon a dye layer comprising a magenta-dye dispersed in a binder which is mixture of two dyes represented by the general formulas (I) and (II): ##STR1## (where X is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group, a formylamino group, a lower alkylcarbonylamino group, a lower alkylsulfonylamino group or a lower alkoxy-carbonylamino group; Y is a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group or a halogen atom; and R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an allyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group); and ##STR2## Z is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; and R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an allyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and R.sup.4 may also form a heterocyclic 6-membered ring by being bonded to a carbon atom adjacent to the carbon binding to the nitrogen atom which is bonded to the benzene ring).

A heat transfer recording sheet is disclosed, comprising a base film having provided on one side thereof a coloring material layer containing at least a subliming dye and a binder, wherein said binder is a polycarbonate resin having a repeating unit represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents an aryl group; and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group. In another embodiment, said binder is a copolymer of polycarbonate resin having a repeating unit represented by the formula (I) and a repeating unit represented by the formula (II) ##STR2## wherein rings A and B each represents a phenylene group or a phenylene group substituted with an alkyl group or a halogen atom; and X represents a divalent group selected from ##STR3## --O--, --S--, --SO--, and --SO.sub.2 --, wherein R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; and R.sup.5 represents an alkylene group.

Heat transfer recording sheet

An anthraquinone dye for direct printing and pad dyeing of cellulose-containing fibers and of the formula: ##STR1## wherein A represents a phenylene group, Y represents a group --NH-- or --C.sub.2 H.sub.4 O--, X represents a carbamoyl group which may be substituted with a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxy-lower alkyl group, a sulfamoyl group which may be substituted with a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxy-lower alkyl group, a halogen atom or a cyano group, and Z represents an amino group, a mono- or di-alkylamino group having 1-6 carbon atoms in total, an anilino group, a lower alkoxy group or a group --O(R.sup.1 O).sub.n -R.sup.2 in which R.sup.1 represents an ethylene group or a propylene group, R.sup.2 represents a methyl group or an ethyl group and n is an integer of 1-5.
