To provide a pesticidal composition having a stable and high pesticidal effect. The pesticidal composition comprises a pyridine compound represented by the formula (I): (wherein Ris CHCN or and each of Rand Rwhich are independent of each other, is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, Calkyl or Calkoxy) or its salt and at least one potency-enhancing component selected from the group consisting of a nonionic surface active agent, an anionic surface active agent, a cationic surface active agent, an amphoteric surface active agent, an animal or plant oil, a mineral oil, a water-soluble polymer, a resin and a wax.

Pesticidal composition, and method for controlling pests

A water-based pesticidal suspension comprises (a) flonicamid, (b) a polycarboxylate surfactant, (c) a sulfonate surfactant, and (d) water. The sulfonate surfactant (c) is at least one member selected from the group consisting of an alkyl sulfosuccinate, a lignosulfonate, a Calkyl benzene sulfonate and a Calkyl diphenyl ether disulfonate. An average particle size of the volume distribution of (a) flonicamid is preferably from 0.5 &#x3bc;m to 10 &#x3bc;m. The polycarboxylate surfactant (b) is preferably a sodium salt of maleic acid/olefin copolymer.

Water-based pesticidal suspension

The present invention relates to a mixed agrochemical emulsion composition comprising: an organic phosphorous pesticide represented by formula (I)  (wherein, Rrepresents a C1-4 linear or branched alkyl group; Rrepresents a C1-4 linear or branched alkyl group; Rrepresents a nitrogenated heterocyclic group which may have a substituent or a group &#x2014;OR(wherein Rrepresents a nitrogenated heterocyclic group which may have a substituent; and X and Y each independently represent an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, wherein Y is a sulfur atom when X is an oxygen atom, and Y is an oxygen atom when X is a sulfur atom); chloropicrin; and a nonionic surfactant. The composition has excellent storage stability and excellent emulsifying properties in water and can be sprayed and applied conveniently by diluting the composition with water, in spite of a fact that both chloropicrin and the organic phosphorous pesticide, which are effective for the control of pests, are contained.

Mixed agrochemical emulsion composition comprising organic phosphorous pesticide and chlorpicrin

To provide an anthranilamide formulation compound for improving pest controlling effects. A solid composition for pest control which comprises an amorphous anthranilamide compound or its salt as a pesticidal active ingredient, a nonionic surfactant and/or an anionic surfactant and a mineral carrier.

Solid composition for pest control

To provide a formulation composition which improves the controlling effect of an anthranilamide compound against pests. A pesticide composition which is a concentrated composition containing an anthranilamide compound as a pesticidal active ingredient, a dispersant and a hydrophilic organic solvent, characterized in that when the composition is diluted with water, the anthranilamide compound precipitates as solid particles in water.

Pesticidal compositions

To provide a method for producing pyrimidine compound useful as an intermediate for agricultural chemicals or pharmaceuticals, which is simple in operation, presents high yield and produces only a small amount of by-products. The method comprises reacting a compound represented by the formula (I) with a compound represented by the formula (II) in the presence of a pyridine compound to produce a compound represented by the formula (III), a compound represented by the formula (IV) or their mixture. 

Method for producing pyrimidine compound

A method for producing a substituted pyridine derivative of the formula (II): ##STR1## wherein each of R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or an alkyl group, and m is an integer of from 1 to 3, which comprises reducing a substituted trichloromethylpyridine derivative of the formula (I): ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are as defined above, with use of acetic acid, hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid, as a proton donor, and zinc, tin or a mixture thereof, as a reducing agent.

Method for producing substituted pyridine derivatives

An aminocarbonyl-substituted pyridinesulfinic acid intermediate for production of an herbicide having formula (V): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl groups, or a salt thereof. The aminocarbonyl-substituted pyridinesulfinic acid or salt thereof is useful as the precursor of aminosulfonyl-substituted pyridinecarbonic acid amide, which in turn is useful as the starting material for agricultural chemicals, medicine, etc.

A process for preparing a S-substituted phosphorochloridothiolate having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is a chlorine atom or an alkoxy or phenoxy group which may be substituted, and R.sup.2 is an alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl group which may be substituted, which comprises isomerizing an O-substituted phosphorochloridothionate having the formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are as defined above, in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst or a phosphorus compound catalyst.

Process for preparing a s-substituted phosphoro-chloridothiolate

A novel amino-trifluoromethylpyridine compound selected from the group consisting of 3-amino-5-trifluoromethylpyridine, 2-amino-4-trifluoromethylpyridine, and 2-amino-4,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)pyridine, and, a process for preparing the same by reacting a halogeno-trifluoromethylpyridine compound with ammonia at a temperature of 50.degree. to 200.degree. C. The compound is useful as an intermediate from which a compound effective in controlling various harmful organisms or an effective component compound of medicines can be easily derived.

Process for preparing a S-substituted phosphoro-chloridothiolate

2-Chloro-5-trichloromethyl pyridine is produced by reacting .beta.-picoline with chlorine in a gaseous phase at 300.degree. to 500.degree. C. in the presence of an inert diluent of nitrogen, a halogenated methane, a halogenated ethane a halogenated ethylene or a mixture thereof. 2-Chloro-5-trichloromethyl pyridine is useful as an intermediate for medicines, agricultural chemicals, dyes especially herbicides.
