The towing determination device includes a rear sensor and a processor configured to determine whether or not the host vehicle is towing an object based on information obtained from the rear sensor. The processor detects an object OB following the own vehicle while maintaining a constant distance from the own vehicle without deviating from the trajectory TR of the own vehicle while the own vehicle is turning. If so, it is determined that the vehicle is towing the object OB. The processor detects an object OB following the own vehicle while maintaining a constant distance from the own vehicle while deviating from the trajectory TR of the own vehicle while the own vehicle is turning. If so, it is determined that the vehicle is not towing the object OB.

Methods for manufacturing panel units may include applying a cover tape to a surface of a panel in such a way as to substantially extend along a periphery of the panel. An extrusion molding die may be moved relative to the panel in such a way that the extrusion molding die moves along the periphery of the panel while at least partially contacting the cover tape applied to the panel. At the same time, a molten molding material may be extruded from the extrusion molding die, thereby integrally forming a molded article on the periphery of the panel. The cover tape may be then removed from the surface of the panel in order to produce a panel unit having the molded article disposed along the periphery of the panel.

Method for forming panel units having in situ formed moldings

An injection molding apparatus used comprises a molten resin injectorfor injecting a molten resin, and a dieconnected to the molten resin injector and communicating with the molten resin injector so that the molten resin is injected into the die. A cavity having a prescribed shape is formed within the die in order to mold the injected molten resin into the prescribed shape. An opening of the die for guiding the molten resin to the outside is blocked so as to confine a molding object as an object for molding the resin member. A plate memberas a molding object is compressed onto the dieand the molten resin is injected into the die while compressing the molding object. The molten resin is adhered on the molding object by being guided from the opening, and a solidified resin member comprising the solidified molten resin is bonded on the surface of the molding object. Consequently, the resin member having a prescribed shape is readily and promptly formed on the surface of the molding object.
