A printer for printing information on a recording paper, includes: a housing, which has a recording paper receiving portion having an opening, and includes a plurality of outer surfaces including a bottom surface to be opposed to an installation surface; a printer cover, which is coupled to the housing, and is capable of opening and closing the opening; a display unit, which is removably mounted on a mounting surface other than the bottom surface among the plurality of outer surfaces, and is configured to display predetermined information; a cable having one end connected to the display unit and another end on which a connector is mounted; and a connector connecting portion to which the connector is connected.

Printer

A printer device includes: a receiver configured to receive pieces of information from a host device; a storage configured to store output information among the pieces of information received by the receiver; a printer configured to print information on a sheet based on printing information; a display communication device configured to transmit display information to a display device; an output destination selection module configured to select an output destination of the output information stored in the storage based on instruction information among the pieces of information received by the receiver from the host device; a display information generation module configured to generate, when the output destination selected by the output destination selection module is the display device, the display information based on the output information stored in the storage; a display communication device configured to output the display information generated by the display information generation module to the display device; and a printing controller configured to output, when the output destination selected by the output destination selection module is the printer, the printing information that is based on the output information stored in the storage, to the printer, wherein the display communication device configured to output the display information generated by the display information generation module to the display device.

Printer device

An apparatus for thermally activating a heat-sensitive adhesive sheet of the type having a printable surface on one side, a heat-sensitive adhesive layer on the other side and sheet identifying information including information concerning one or more properties of the adhesive used in the adhesive layer, comprises an energizeable heating unit for heating the heat-sensitive adhesive layer to activate the same, a reading sensor for reading the sheet identifying information, and a control section for controlling energy applied to the heating unit on the basis of the sheet identifying information read by the reading sensor. The control section controls the energy applied to the heating unit by keeping the amplitude of applied voltage pulses constant and varying the pulse width. An ambient-temperature measuring sensor measures temperature in the vicinity of the heating unit and the control section controls the energy applied to the heating unit on the basis of the temperature measured by the ambient-temperature measuring sensor.

Thermally activating apparatus and printer for heat-sensitive adhesive sheet

There are provided a power-consumption estimating means (a microcomputer M and a designated program) for estimating first electric power consumption required for driving a printing thermal head ( ) and second electric power consumption required for driving an activating thermal head ( ) of a thermally activating apparatus; a supply-power setting means (the microcomputer M and a designated program) for setting first electric power that can be supplied to the printing thermal head and second electric power that can be supplied to the activating thermal head within the allowable power range on the basis of the first electric power consumption and the second electric power consumption estimated by the power-consumption estimating means; and an energization control means (the microcomputer M and a designated program) for energizing the printing thermal head and the activating thermal head on the basis of the first electric power and the second electric power set by the supply-power setting means.
