A saddle type vehicle to improve the workability in fastening a frame and an engine together and thereby to enhance productivity. The saddle type vehicle includes a head pipe, a main frame extending rearwardly from the head pipe, and a seat rail located rearwardly of the main frame for supporting a seat. The main frame is fastened to the engine by fastening members being directed from an outer side toward an inner side in the vehicle widthwise direction. A knock pin is provided between the main frame and the engine, in a position in the vicinity of at least one of the fastening members.

Saddle type vehicle

A swing-arm-type suspension device for a vehicle transmit rolling from a vehicle body frame side to a rear wheel side quickly. In a swing-arm-type suspension device for a motorcycle, a swing arm is mounted swingably on a pivot shaft provided on a vehicle body frame side, to be more specific, a power unit. One end of a cushion unit is mounted on the swing arm. Another end of the cushion unit is mounted on the swing arm and the power unit by way of a cushion support link mechanism. A rear wheel is supported on an end portion of the swing arm, between a cross pipe that extends between left and right seat rails and the swing arm. A rolling support link mechanism transmits rolling of a vehicle body in the lateral direction to the swing arm from the seat rails on the vehicle-body-frame side.

Swing-arm-type suspension device of vehicle

To provide a swing arm for a vehicle which can ensure the rigidity of a fastened portion of the swing arm to a final gear case with a simple configuration. A swing arm for a vehicle pivotably mounted on a body frame and having a swinging end fastened to a final gear case on which a rear wheel is mounted. A reinforcing plate is provided in the vicinity of the swinging end of the swing arm and fastened to the swing arm at two positions spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.

Swing arm for vehicle

A windshield unit having side visors capable of performing multiple functions. The side visors are attached to a lower portion of a front cowl. The side visors are formed by transparent plate members and each have a slant portion which is inclined so that a lower side portion of the slant portion projects forwardly of a vehicle. Apertures are formed in an upper portion of the side visors, so that a part of the running wind passes through the apertures, reducing the running resistance of the vehicle. Another part of the running wind generates a down-force on the vehicle due to the action of the slant portions.
