A reformer () supplies a reformate gas to a fuel cell stack (). The reformer () generates a reformate gas by reforming gaseous fuel vaporized by a vaporizer (). When current supply from the fuel cell stack () to the electric motor () undergoes a sharp decrease, unnecessary consumption of gaseous fuel is prevented by closing a first valve () which supplies gaseous fuel from the vaporizer () to the reformer () and by opening a second valve () which returns gaseous fuel in the vaporizer () to the fuel tank ().

Fuel cell power plant

In a fuel cell system and a method of controlling the same, a fuel cell stack is connected at its downstream side with a hydrogen control valve and a hydrogen draw pump . A control unit controls the hydrogen draw pump such that hydrogen drawing power is increased to a level larger than that required for normal operation and controls the hydrogen control valve such that opening degree is decreased. After that, the control unit controls the hydrogen control valve such that the opening degree is increased to purge moisture in the fuel cell stack.

Fuel cell system and method

An upstream end of a combustion liner is adapted to be firmly clamped between an end of a supporting bracket and a pusher ring under the bias of a spring. Constructions and arrangements are made so as to enable the supporting bracket to be of one-piece. Various embodiments include a bayonet type, a threaded type, and an annular type attachment means.
