Transition is made from a motor single-drive mode to a motor dual-drive mode while there is a margin in torque output from a motor MGwith respect to rated torque. With this, the torque of the motor MGis changed slowly in the motor dual-drive mode, whereby it is possible to suppress the generation of vibration (shock) due to torsion of a damper and to compensate for a shortage of the torque of the motor MGdue to slow change processing with an increase in torque from the motor MG. As a result, it is possible to achieve both of reduction of a shock due to the torque of the motor MGand output of required torque to a drive shaft.

Hybrid vehicle

A control system for a hybrid vehicle configured to reduce frequency of establishing an engine braking force is provided. The control system is configured to operate a first motor as a motor to increase torque of an output member while halting the output shaft of the engine by a brake, and to increase the deceleration torque of the second motor, if a state of charge of the battery is higher than a predetermined threshold level when deceleration of the hybrid vehicle is demanded.

The control apparatus includes a controller that controls the first motor. The controller is configured to, during the motor driving, determine whether the first motor is in a single-phase locking state (step S), when it is determined that the first motor is in the single-phase locking, end the motor driving (step S), and then start the engine by cranking the engine with the use of the first motor (step S).

An ECU determines whether or not fuel in a fuel tank deteriorates. A heating system is configured to be able to perform heating (engine heating) using heat of an engine which heating uses the engine under operation as a heat source, and heating (heat-pump heating) using a heat pump cycle without using the engine as a heat source. When it is determined that the fuel in the fuel tank deteriorates, the ECU controls the heating system and the engine so as to give priority to the engine heating over the heat-pump heating.

When an engine is stopped in a state in which a supercharger is overheated (step S: YES), a control device performs rotation processing for rotating a crankshaft of the engine under a condition in which the supply of fuel to the engine is stopped (step S).
