A pixel circuit includes a first and a second subpixel circuits. The first subpixel circuit includes a first and a second light emitters, and a first setter that sets the first and second light emitters to an emissive or a non-emissive state. The second subpixel circuit includes a third and a fourth light emitters, and a second setter that functions in the same manner as the first setter. The pixel circuit is in at least one of a connection different or an emitter number different state. In the connection different state, a connection between the first and second light emitters is a series or a parallel connection and a connection between the third and fourth light emitters is the other connections. In the emitter number different state, the first and second light emitters are emissive wholly or selectively and the third and fourth light emitter is in the opposite manner.

Pixel circuit, display panel, display device, and composite display device

A display device includes a plate-like substrate having a first surface and a second surface, pixel units on the first surface, and a power supply voltage feeder on the second surface. The power supply voltage feeder outputs first and second power supply voltages applicable to the pixel units. The second power supply voltage is lower in potential than the first power supply voltage. The display device includes a first wiring conductor electrically connecting the power supply voltage feeder and the pixel units and a second wiring conductor electrically connecting the power supply voltage feeder and the pixel units. At least one of the first or second wiring conductor includes a planar conductive portion covering the first surface. The planar conductive portion includes connectors connected to the power supply voltage feeder on at least two sides of the substrate.

Display device

A dot-matrix display device includes a display, a converter circuit, and a control circuit. The display includes multiple gate signal lines, multiple source signal lines, and multiple pixel circuits arranged at intersections of the multiple gate signal lines and source signal lines. The converter circuit obtains a serial signal SI in synchronization with a first clock signal SCK input from outside and converts the obtained serial signal to a parallel signal. The serial signal is input from outside serially. The serial signal includes address data for specifying, of the multiple pixel circuits, a pixel circuit to undergo a refresh of image data, and the image data to be provided to the specified pixel circuit. The control circuit generates, based on a second clock signal ENB_V having a lower frequency than the first clock signal, a control signal for controlling timing of serial-to-parallel conversion performed by the converter circuit.

Dot-matrix display device and timer apparatus

A display device includes a data signal line, a low-tone scanning line, a high-tone scanning line, a low-tone emission control line, a high-tone emission control line, a signal line drive circuit that outputs an image signal to the data signal line, a scanning line drive circuit that outputs a selection signal to the low-tone scanning line and to the high-tone scanning line, and first and second power supply lines that receive power from a power supply. Pixel units each include a low-tone scanning transistor, a high-tone scanning transistor, a low-tone capacitor, a high-tone capacitor, a low-tone drive transistor, a high-tone drive transistor, a low-tone emission control transistor, a high-tone emission control transistor, and a light emitter. The display device drives the light emitter by dividing a high tone and a low tone in time series.

A display device includes a matrix of pixel units each including a light-emitting element and a pixel circuit that causes the light-emitting element to emit light. The pixel circuit includes a first driver that drives the light-emitting element in response to the gradation value of an image in a range of gradation values less than or equal to a first boundary value and does not drive the light-emitting element in response to the image gradation value in a range of gradation values greater than the first boundary value, and a second driver that does not drive the light-emitting element in response to the image gradation value in a range of gradation values less than or equal to a second boundary value and drives the light-emitting element in response to the image gradation value in a range of gradation values greater than the second boundary value.

A display device includes a substrate, a pixel array placed on a first surface side of the substrate, light emission control signal lines, scanning signal lines, a scanning signal line driving circuit, and a driving control signal line. The driving control signal line includes a first portion, a second portion, and third portions. The light emission control signal lines include a first light emission control signal line and a second light emission control signal line, and a number of intersecting portions of the first light emission control signal line and the first portion is smaller than a number of intersecting portions of the second light emission control signal line and the third portions.

A display device includes a first pixel unit located on a substrate and including a first micro-LED, a second pixel unit located on the substrate and including a second micro-LED having a differently colored emission and a different level of luminous efficiency from the first micro-LED, and an emission controller that controls light intensities of the first micro-LED and the second micro-LED. The first pixel unit includes a first current control switch and a first period control switch. The second pixel unit includes a second current control switch and a second period control switch. The first current control switch, the first period control switch, the second current control switch, and the second period control switch are connected to the emission controller.

A light emitter board includes a substrate having a mount surface on which first and second light emitters are mountable, and at least one pixel unit on the mount surface, including a drive circuit and first and second drive lines. The first drive line as a primary line and the second drive line as a redundant line are connected in parallel to the drive circuit. The pixel unit includes, on the mount surface, first positive and negative electrode pads connectable to the first light emitter, and second positive and negative electrode pads to the second light emitter. The first positive or negative electrode pad is connected to the first drive line, and the second positive or negative electrode pad to the second drive line.

Light emitter board, display device, and method for repairing display device

A dot matrix display device includes a pixel redraw control unit and a decoder unit. The pixel redraw control unit generates a gate selection signal identifying an address in one direction, a source selection signal identifying an address in another direction intersecting the one direction, and image data which correspond to a pixel electrode part based on a serial signal including an address signal identifying an address of the pixel electrode part and an image signal supplied to the pixel electrode part. The decoder unit supplies a gate signal which activates a gate signal line corresponding to the pixel electrode part based on the gate selection signal, generates a source signal which activates a source signal line corresponding to the pixel electrode part based on the source selection signal, and supplies the image data to the pixel electrode part corresponding to the activated source signal line.
