A detection device detecting collapse of PM collected in a filter provided in an exhaust system flow path of an internal combustion engine includes: a differential pressure sensor configured to acquire a differential pressure between an exhaust inlet side and an exhaust outlet side of the filter; a water generation determination unit configured to determine whether water is generated in the exhaust system flow path; and a PM collapse determination unit configured to determine that at least a part of the PM collected in the filter has collapsed when a PM accumulation amount estimated based on the acquired differential pressure has increased by a predetermined amount or more within a predetermined period in a state where the PM accumulation amount estimated based on the acquired differential pressure is equal to or larger than a predetermined first threshold and the water generation determination unit has determined that water is generated.

An NOx sensor diagnosis apparatus, which diagnoses an NOx sensor provided in an exhaust pipe to detect a concentration of NOx in exhaust gas, includes a calculation value operating unit to acquire a calculation value of the concentration of NOx in the exhaust gas based on an actuation state of an engine, an error determining unit to determine that the sensor is erroneous when a difference between the calculation value and the detection value of the concentration of NOx detected by the sensor is larger than a determination threshold value, and a determination threshold value setting unit to set the determination threshold value based on a temperature of water for cooling the engine, an atmospheric pressure, and an outdoor temperature.

NOx sensor diagnosis apparatus and selective catalytic reduction system

A NOx sensor diagnosis device which can diagnose validity of a NOx sensor by considering an environmental condition and can prevent erroneous diagnosis, and a selective catalytic reduction system are provided. The system includes a cold start condition determination unit that obtains a difference between an engine cooling water temperature and an ambient temperature, a difference between an engine cooling water temperature and a fuel temperature, and a difference between an ambient temperature and a fuel temperature by using an engine cooling water temperature, an ambient temperature, and a fuel temperature measured immediately after engine starting, and allows a diagnosis by the competence diagnosis unit when the temperature differences are less than or equal to a predetermined threshold value.
