A sheet processing apparatus including a sheet supply device, a first cylinder which includes at least one gripper device, a processing device, a sheet discharge device, and conveyance devices. The conveyance devices include a plurality of gripper devices including at least one reversing gripper device. The conveyance devices also include a second cylinder and reversing swing arm shaft pregripper. The second cylinder grips and conveys one edge of the sheet by one gripper device of the plurality of gripper devices. The reversing swing arm shaft pregripper is supported to be swingable between the first cylinder and the second cylinder, receives by the reversing gripper device the other edge of the sheet conveyed by the second cylinder, and transfers the received other edge of the sheet to the gripper device of the first cylinder by a gripping change.

A device is presented for adjustment of height in a transport cylinder gripper pad. The device includes a first notch, a gripper pad which is equipped in the first notch, a gripper pad bar, a first adjusting bar, a biasing member which biases the bottom surface of the gripper pad bar against the upper surface of the first adjusting bar, a drive shaft, and a driving unit which moves the drive shaft in the cylinder axial direction. A first connecting portion is interposed between the drive shaft and the first adjusting bar, and moves the first adjusting bar in the cylinder axial direction as the drive shaft moves.

A delivery device in a sheet-fed offset rotary printing press includes a plurality of suction units and at least one guide unit. The plurality of suction units are arranged above a pile board on an upstream sheet convey direction side below a sheet under conveyance in a widthwise direction of the sheet, and draw by suction the sheet under conveyance in slidable contact with it. The guide unit is arranged between suction units among the plurality of suction units which are located at two ends, and moves the sheet at substantially the same speed as a convey speed of the sheet under conveyance.

Delivery device in sheet-fed offset rotary printing press

A sheet convey apparatus for a sheet-fed offset rotary printing press with a convertible mechanism includes a gripper device and a gripper pad shaft. The gripper device swings between a first position to receive a sheet from a chucking cylinder on an upstream side in a sheet convey direction and a second position to transfer the sheet to a gripper device on a downstream side in the sheet convey direction. The gripper pad shaft extends in a widthwise direction of the sheet and pivots together with the gripper device. A position of a rotating shaft axis at an intermediate portion of the gripper pad shaft is set within a range of an angle which is formed by a line that connects rotating shaft axes at two ends of the gripper pad shaft and a sheet holding position of the gripper device at the first position and a line that connects the rotating shaft axes at the two ends of the gripper pad shaft and a sheet holding position of the gripper device at the second position.

A moving member fixing apparatus includes a stationary gear, rotary gear, press member, and first and second flat inclined surfaces. The rotary gear is movably provided to the stationary gear. The press member presses the rotary gear to fix the rotary gear to the stationary gear, and cancels pressing the rotary gear so that the rotary gear is released from the stationary gear. The first flat inclined surface is formed to be associated with the stationary gear. The second flat inclined surface is formed on the press member and comes into contact with the first inclined surface

Moving member fixing apparatus

A moving member fixing apparatus includes a stationary cam, moving cam, printing press motor, drive connecting/disconnecting mechanism, fixing/releasing device, and air cylinder. The moving cam is movable with respect to the stationary cam. The printing press motor is drive-connected to the moving cam, and moves the moving cam with respect to the stationary cam. The drive connecting/disconnecting mechanism connects/disconnects drive connection from the printing press motor to the moving cam. The fixing/releasing device fixes and releases the moving cam with respect to the stationary cam. The air cylinder drives the drive connecting/disconnecting mechanism and fixing/releasing device.

A cylinder apparatus includes a cylinder body, support member, shaft, coned disc spring, air cylinder, and levers. The cylinder body is rotatably supported by a pair of frames. The support member is supported to be movable in a circumferential direction with respect to the cylinder body, and supports a suction head. The shaft is supported to be movable in an axial direction of the cylinder body. The coned disc spring biases the shaft in a first direction. The air cylinder moves the shaft in a second direction opposite to the first direction against an elastic force of the coned disc spring. The levers are swingably supported by the cylinder body and swing upon movement of the shaft to fix/release the support member with respect to the cylinder body.

A plate holding apparatus includes a plate holding device and an air cylinder. The plate holding device holds an old plate discharged from a plate cylinder. The air cylinder moves the plate holding device between the first position of holding the discharged old plate and the second position away from the plate cylinder. The plate holding device includes a support member, first and second rotary members, a lever, stopper, and tensile coil spring, and a one-way clutch. The first rotary member is rotatably, axially supported by the support member. The second rotary member is axially supported by the support member to be movable and rotatable. The lever, stopper, and tensile coil spring move the second rotary member to come into contact with and separate from the first rotary member. When the old plate is held by the first and second rotary members, the one-way clutch allows at least one of the first and second rotary members to rotate in the first direction to disengage the old plate from the plate cylinder, and regulates it from rotating in the second direction opposite to the first direction.

Plate holding apparatus

A plate inserting apparatus includes a locking portion and suction pad, and a solenoid valve. The locking portion and suction pad hold a plate to which an elastic restoration force is applied. The solenoid valve releases the plate held by the locking portion and suction pad. The plate released by the solenoid valve is inserted into a plate clamp device provided in a plate cylinder by its elastic restoration force.

A suction unit in a sheet-fed rotary printing press includes a plurality of suction wheels, a plurality of supports, a drive shaft, a motor, a shaft, a coupling, a bearing, a sleeve, and a gear, and a knob and a screw. The suction wheels are provided below a sheet convey path to draw a sheet-like printing product in a slidable contact by suction. The supports support the suction wheels to be movable in a sheet convey direction. The drive shaft, motor, shaft, coupling, bearing, sleeve, and gear drive the suction wheels in the sheet convey direction. The knob and screw detachably fix the suction wheels to the supports. The suction wheels are connected to/disconnected from the drive shaft, motor, shaft, coupling, bearing, sleeve, and gear when the suction wheels are fixed to/released from the supports by the knob and screw.

Suction unit in sheet-fed rotary printing press

A sheet-like material guiding device of an offset printing press comprises a chain for holding and transporting a printed sheet; a product pile device for piling the printed sheet released from the chain; a suction device for reducing the speed of the printed sheet transported by the chain, the suction device being supported movably in the direction of transport of the printed sheet; and a belt disposed below the chain for guiding the printed sheet at nearly the same speed as the speed of transport of the printed sheet by the chain, the belt being movable so as to follow the movement of the suction device, the sheet-like material guiding device including a pair of driven rollers for supporting the belt, and a chain for supporting the driven rollers movably, with the distance between the driven rollers being unchanged. The belt can satisfactorily follow during movement of the suction device to achieve smooth transport, and a drive source for the suction device can be made small in capacity.
