A multi-display control apparatus includes a processor for an information handling device and a memory that stores code executable by the processor. The code is executable by the processor to detect a trigger event and, in response to detecting the trigger event, temporarily stopping display of content on a first display device in which the first display device is external to a second display device of a computing device storing the content.

The present invention provides an electronic apparatus for reducing the load on mechanism parts and thickness, including a main unit chassis having keytops; a display chassis pivotably connected with the main unit chassis by hinge mechanisms; rubber domes urging the keytops in a direction to cause the keytops to project from an upper surface; an X slider sliding in the main unit chassis in synchronization with the pivoting movements of the main unit chassis and the display chassis; a key depressing mechanism and a link mechanism, causing the keytops to retract from the upper surface when the X slider slides in one direction, and causing the keytops to project from the upper surface when the X slider slides in the opposite direction; and an auxiliary elastic member urging the X slider in a direction to cause the X slider to slide in the one direction.

An electronic apparatus having a switch device capable of suppressing collision noise is disclosed. The switch device is equipped with a first fixed contact and a second fixed contact, and a metal dome that serves as a movable contact movable in a direction to be contacted with or separated from the first fixed contact. In a configuration in which the metal dome is moved to provide an electrical contact or a separation between the metal dome and the first fixed contact, whereby the first fixed contact and the second fixed contact are electrically connected therebetween, a conductive layer made of an anisotropic conductive sheet is provided between the first fixed contact and the metal dome.

A keyboard device for a portable computer is disclosed. The portable computer includes a main body chassis and a display chassis. The main body chassis contains the keyboard device having multiple keycaps elastically supported to be moved up and down. Coupled to the main body chassis via a hinge, the display chassis contains a display. The main body chassis also includes a key depressing mechanism having a rotating shaft member provided along each of the keycaps and a pressing piece projecting from the outer circumferential surface of the rotating shaft member to the side of the keycap to allow a receiving part provided in the keycap to be depressed downward. The rotating shaft member rotates about the axis to cause the pressing piece to push down the receiving part and, in turn, pushing down and keeping the keycap in a depressed position.

An information processing device is disclosed. The information processing device includes a first chassis and a second chassis that are connected rotatably via a hinge, and includes a connector to connect the first chassis to the hinge. The first chassis includes a laminated part having a lamination of a set of fiber-reinforced plastic layers in each of which resin is reinforced by fibers arranged in a predetermined direction. The connector is attached and fixed to a recess in the laminated part, with the recess having a shape corresponding an outer shape of the connector. Directly attached to the connector, one of the fiber-reinforced plastic layers making up a bottom of the recess and is a layer in which fibers are arranged in a direction orthogonal to a rotary axis of the hinge.

An electronic apparatus may include an upper housing having a display; a lower housing which is rotatably connected with a bracket from which the upper housing is detachable by hinges; and a torque variable structure which changes rotational torque of the bracket at the hinges. The torque variable structure is capable of reducing the rotational torque of the bracket at the hinges in a state in which the upper housing is detached from the bracket, rather than a state in which the upper housing is mounted on the bracket.

The invention comprises an image scan apparatus wherein a simple document feed unit is provided for feeding a document to be scanned to a predetermined position on a glass platen. The document feed unit is mechanically coupled to an image sense unit which is reciprocally moved between a home position and a scan start position. The document feed unit includes a frictional roller which is in contact with the glass platen. A leading edge of the document is inserted by an operator at a home position between a frictional roller and the glass platen. The frictional roller is mounted on a shaft via a one-way clutch or one-way bearing. The one-way clutch inhibits the rotation of the frictional roller during its movement from the home position to a scan start position. The leading portion of the document is engaged by the frictional roller, and the document is fed to a predetermined position on the glass platen as the frictional roller and the image sense unit are moved to the scan start position. The one-way clutch allows the rotation of the frictional roller during a reverse movement from the scan start position back to the home position, while the document is being scanned. During this movement, the frictional roller freely rotates over the document without moving it.
