A flexible printed circuit board whose end part side is connected to a print element substrate capable of ejecting ink using a print element, so as to be capable of transmitting a signal from a control part of a printing apparatus to the print element substrate via wiring and to be capable of transmitting a signal from the print element substrate to the control part via the wiring, wherein a side part side of high-potential wiring includes at least one of a regulation part that regulates penetration of ink and a wiring part that is configured with low-potential ground wiring and low-potential liquid signal line whose signal value transmitted by the control part or operation based on a signal is monitored.

Flexible printed circuit board and print head

Provided is an electric wiring member supported by a support member that supports a recording element substrate configured to eject a liquid. The electric wiring member has a signal line for transmitting a drive signal used for driving the recording element substrate, a power line for supplying drive power to the recording element substrate, and a heat generating resistive line for heating the support member. The power line is arranged between the signal line and the heat generating resistive line.

Printing apparatus and printhead substrate

An element substrate including heaters, drivers for each heater, and a diode, and connected to an external apparatus having a circuit for detecting a temperature based on a detection signal from the diode, comprises: a first wiring grounded, connected to one end of the diode, and serving as a reference voltage of the detection signal; a second wiring connected to the first wiring near the diode; a first pad connected to the first wiring; and a second pad connected to the second wiring. When the substrate is connected to the apparatus, a wiring serving as a reference voltage for a side where the detection signal of the circuit of the apparatus is inputted is connected to the second pad via the first pad connected to a ground serving as a reference voltage of the apparatus.

Element substrate, printhead and printing apparatus

A liquid ejection head includes an element substrate for ejecting a liquid, an integrated circuit board outputting a control signal for controlling the element substrate, and an electrical wiring board connected electrically to the element substrate. The electrical wiring board has a signal line connector to which control signals are inputted and electrical wiring board connectors to which an electric signal for driving the liquid ejection head is inputted. The signal line connector and the electrical wiring board connectors are disposed on opposite sides to each other relative to a center line extending orthogonally to a longitudinal direction of the electrical wiring board.

An apparatus including: a control unit configured to control a switch that performs switching between a charging path for charging a first power storage unit provided in a carriage having a printhead mounted thereon by power supplied from a power source and a charging path for charging the first power storage unit by power supplied from a second power storage unit that is provided in a main body of the printing apparatus equipped with the carriage and has a capacity higher than the first power storage unit; and a determining unit configured to determine whether or not the second power storage unit has a power storage capacity less than a threshold value, wherein the control unit controls the switch such that the first power storage unit can be charged by the power supplied from the power source if it is determined by the determining unit that the power storage capacity of the second power storage unit is less than the threshold value.

A liquid discharge head includes a liquid discharge head substrate including a discharge port through which a liquid is discharged, and a plurality of energy generating elements that generate energy for discharging the liquid from the discharge port, and a circuit board having flexibility including a pair of differential transmission lines for transmitting differential transmission signals used as logical signals for driving the energy generating elements, to the liquid discharge head substrate, and a voltage supply line for supplying a voltage applied to the energy generating elements to obtain the energy, to the liquid discharge head substrate, wherein the pair of differential transmission lines is provided on one surface of the circuit board, and the voltage supply line is provided on the other surface of the circuit board, which is on a reverse side of the one surface.
