A sound processing method includes: receiving, using the communication device, from the remote apparatus, a first sound signal representing first sound generated by a user of the remote apparatus; emitting, using the sound emitting apparatus, the first sound represented by the first sound signal; receiving, using the sound receiving apparatus, sound that includes second sound generated by a user of the sound processing system; generating a second sound signal by sound processing, using processing parameters, a reception sound signal generated by the sound receiving apparatus; transmitting, using the communication device, the second sound signal to the remote apparatus; updating the processing parameters based on the first sound signal or the reception sound signal; and stopping the updating of the processing parameters in a state where musical sound is included in at least one of the first sound or the second sound.

Sound processing method, and sound processing system

In an audio system, a control device includes a setting part that sets automatic compensation of each of a plurality of input ports of the input device into either ON state or OFF state and an adjusting part that adjusts an analog gain of each of the plurality of input ports. The input device includes the plurality of input ports, each input port including an amplifier that controls a level of an analog signal input to the input port based on the analog gain adjusted by the adjusting part, an AD converter that converts the analog signal from the amplifier into a digital signal, a compensator that controls a level of the digital signal from the AD converter based on a digital gain of the input port, and a selector that selects one of the digital signal from the AD converter and the digital signal from the compensator. when the automatic compensation of an input port of the input device is set into the ON state from the OFF state by the setting part of the control device, the digital gain of the input port varies in accordance with the analog gain of the input port so that a value change in the analog gain of the input port by the adjusting part is compensated by a value change in the digital gain of the input channel.

Audio system

A digital mixer includes a MO switch and a MO fader in a signal transmission route from each input channel to a bus of a MIX_MINUS type, a signal of the input channel is supplied to the MIX bus without control on its level when the MO switch is OFF, while being supplied to the MIX bus after being controlled on its level by the MOL fader when the MO switch is ON. When the MO switch is changed from OFF to ON, a level adjustment amount by the MOL fader is set to a value so that a signal passing therethrough comes to have zero level.

Digital mixer

Six input channels, to which are allocated 5.1-channel surround signals from a plurality of input sources, are grouped into a surround channel group, and these six input channels are connected to corresponding ones of six surround buses in a one-to-one relationship. Thus, merely grouping the input channels into a surround channel group allows the signals of the individual input channels (5.1-channel surround signals) to be taken out via a plurality of output destinations (5.1-channel speakers) corresponding to the surround buses. Once an instruction is given for changing a value of a parameter, the parameter is controlled in a ganged fashion in all of the input channels of the surround channel group except for an LFE input channel of the surround channel group.

Audio mixer

N input channel signals from an input channel section having N input channels are selectively supplied to M mixing buses and cue buses. Mixed outputs from the mixing buses are supplied, via talkback input sections, to an output channel section having M output channels, and M output channel signals from the output channel section are patched to output ports via an output patch section. Talkback signal from a talkback supply section is supplied to the talkback input sections. When a talkback function is ON, a talkback signal is mixed with the mixed outputs from the mixing buses and then output to the output channels, during which time the mixed outputs are temporarily attenuated.

Mixing console

A method is designed for controlling a total mixing system including a first mixing system and a second mixing system, which are operated in a linked manner. In the method, the first mixing system stores first scene data specifying contents of a mixing process matching a scene. The second mixing system stores second scene data specifying contents of a mixing process matching a scene. The first mixing system transmits a scene recall request to the second mixing system when a recall event of the first scene data occurs. The second mixing system transmits back a recall enabling response to the first mixing system after receipt of the scene recall request. The first mixing system reconstructs the contents of the mixing process on the basis of the first scene data after the reception of the recall enabling response. The second mixing system reconstructs the contents of the mixing process on the basis of the second scene data after the transmission of the recall enabling response.

Digital mixing system with dual consoles and cascade engines

Digital mixer includes a plurality of input ports each capable of performing gain adjustment, and a plurality of signal processing channels. Signal of each of the input ports is allocated to one or more desired ones of the channels. Each of the input channels includes an attenuator and can control the level of each signal supplied thereto. Gain value of any one of the input ports is updated in accordance with the gain adjustment performed in that input port, and, when an automatic gain adjustment function is ON in any one of the input channels set as patched-to destinations of the input port, an attenuator value of the input channel is automatically adjusted so as to cancel out an amount of variation of the gain value.

Mixing apparatus and computer program therefor

Signal of a channel selected in accordance with a cue instruction is supplied to a cue bus. Cue signal processing section provided in the cue bus can perform one or more signal processing operations, selected from among a predetermined plurality of different signal processing operations, such as 'Delay', 'Insert' and &#x201c;Equalizer&#x201d;. For each of a plurality of channel types, a set of setting information is stored which contains information for setting ON or OFF of individual ones of the plurality of different signal processing operations. The set of setting information corresponding to the type of the channel selected via the cue instruction is referenced, and one or more signal processing operations is determined in such a manner that each signal processing operation set in an ON state in the setting file in correspondence with the type of the selected channel is performed on the signal supplied to the cue bus.

Mixing apparatus

In a digital mixer that processes audio signals in a plurality of channels, layer data which indicates a channel to be assigned to each channel strip in a channel strip section can be set to indicate retainment of assignment status for any of the channel strips. When the layer is selected, the digital mixer assigns the channel indicated by the layer data corresponding to the selected layer to each channel strip for which assignment of some channel is indicated, and leaves the assignment of the channel unchanged regarding the channel strip for which retainment of assignment status is indicated in the layer data.

In each of a plurality of input channels of an audio mixer, there are provided a fader operator for adjusting a tone volume level, and a send level adjustment section for adjusting a send level of an audio signal to be sent from the channel to individual mixing buses. On an operation panel of the mixer, there are provided a plurality of bus selection switches in corresponding relation to the mixing buses. Once any one of the bus selection switches is depressed once, the mixing bus corresponding to the operated bus selection switch is allocated to a selected send level operator. Activation/deactivation of a Sends On Fader (SOF) function may be instructed by a user depressing any one of the bus selection switches twice in succession.

Audio mixer and parameter setting method therefor

In a digital mixer, a standard mode or a switched mode of an input patch is selectable. When shifting from the standard mode to the switched mode is selected, input port information in input patch data stored in a current memory is converted according to a port correspondence relation indicated by conversion data. When shifting from the switched mode to the standard mode is selected, the input port information in the input patch data stored in the current memory is reversely converted to original information according to the port correspondence relation indicated by the conversion data.

Audio signal processing device

In an audio device that has a port for connection and that constitutes an audio system together with at least one external device having a port for connection with the audio device via a communication line, a plurality of connection setting templates are previously prepared, which contain target port connection information specifying target destination ports to which the ports of the audio device and the external device that constitute the audio system should be connected. One of the connection setting templates is selected. Check is made to compare the target port connection information contained in the selected connection setting template with actual port connection information indicating actual destination ports to which respective ports of the audio device and the external device constituting the audio system are actually connected.

Mixer apparatus includes: a plurality of input channels, mixing buses and output channels; a monitor section that outputs, for a monitoring purpose, signals of one or more of the channels selected in response to monitoring selecting operation; and a plurality of effecters. For each of the plurality of effecters, setting is performed to insert the effecter in a designated one of the input or output channels, to allow the inserted effecter to be used in the designated channel. The mixer also permits editing of a selected one of the effecters while causing an editing screen for the selected effecter to be displayed. When any one of the effecters has been selected for editing while the mixer is set in the interlock mode, control is performed to automatically output, for the monitoring purpose, the signal of the channel having the selected effecter inserted therein.

Digital mixer apparatus and editing method therefor

Once an automatic setting instruction, such as a scene recall instruction, is given for instructing that a parameter to be set via an operator member should be automatically set to a given target value, automatic setting processing, such as scene recall processing, is performed to cause the current value of the parameter, to be set via the operator member, to gradually vary toward the given target value. During that time, the given target value and the current value of the parameter to be set via the operator member are displayed on a display device simultaneously or alternately. During the automatic setting processing, the target value can be changed as desired by a user, and, as the target value is changed, the changed or new target value is displayed on the displayed device.
