The present invention provides an electroconductive adhesive which is desirably sintered at low temperatures even without pressurization during the sintering of the electroconductive adhesive, and which forms a sintered body that has high denseness and high mechanical strength (shear strength) if used as an electroconductive adhesive. An electroconductive adhesive which contains a solvent and silver particles that have an average particle diameter within the range of from 20 nm (inclusive) to 500 nm (exclusive), wherein the moisture content in the electroconductive adhesive is 1,300 ppm or less.

Electroconductive adhesive

The present invention provides silver nanoparticles that form a sintered body having a high shear strength and a low specific resistance when sintered at a low temperature (for example, 200° C. or less), even though the silver nanoparticles have an average particle diameter as large as 200 nm or more. Silver nanoparticles having an average particle diameter of 200 to 600 nm, wherein an exothermic peak due to binding of the silver nanoparticles in thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis appears at less than 175° C., and a weight loss on heating from 30 to 500° C. by thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis is 0.4% by weight or less.

Silver nanoparticles

A positively chargeable toner includes toner particles. The toner particles each include a toner mother particle containing a binder resin, and an external additive adhering to a surface of the toner mother particle. The external additive includes specific silica particles, specific titania particles, and specific crosslinked resin particles. The specific silica particles each include a silica base, and a first surface treatment layer present on a surface of the silica base. The first surface treatment layer has an alkyl group having a carbon number of at least 8 and no greater than 16, and an amino group. The specific titania particles each include a titania base, and a second surface treatment layer present on a surface of the titania base. The second surface treatment layer has an alkyl group having a carbon number of at least 3 and no greater than 8.

Positively chargeable toner

A positively chargeable toner includes a plurality of toner particles each including a toner mother particle and external additives adhering to a surface of the toner mother particle. The toner particles of the positively chargeable toner each include a silica particle as one of the external additives and a titania particle as another one of the external additives. The silica particle has on a surface thereof an alkyl group having a carbon number of at least 8 and no greater than 16 and an amino group. The titania particle has an amino group on a surface thereof. The titania particle has a volume resistivity of at least 1.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9;&#xb7;cm and no greater than 1.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9;&#xb7;cm. The silica particles have an average primary particle diameter larger than that of the titania particles.

A positively chargeable toner for electrostatic latent image development includes toner particles. The toner particles each include a toner core containing boron nitride and a shell layer disposed over a surface of the toner core. The boron nitride is contained in an amount of no less than 0.05% by mass and no greater than 35% by mass relative to total mass of the toner core. The boron nitride has a thermal conductivity of no less than 40 W/m&#xb7;K and no greater than 220 W/m&#xb7;K.

Positively chargeable toner for electrostatic latent image development

An electrostatic latent image developing toner includes toner particles that each include a toner core containing a binder resin and a shell layer disposed over a surface of the toner core. The binder resin includes a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous polyester resin. The crystalline polyester resin has a melting point of at least 80&#xb0; C. and no greater than 120&#xb0; C. When the electrostatic latent image developing toner is measured using a differential scanning calorimeter, a glass transition point is observed in a first run but is not observed in a second run. The shell layer contains a resin including a thermosetting component and a thermoplastic component.
