Connector

A guide connector includes a first movable body, a second movable body, a box-like body capable of accommodating the movable bodies, and a lid. The guide connector is positioned below a substrate. Contacts are inserted into a female connector after passing through contact insertion holes to of the guide connector and penetrating the substrate. After the electrical connection between the contacts and female contacts are respectively established, a slider is pressed down, which causes pressing pins and to press the first movable body and the second movable body. With this, a lower stage of the first movable body and a lower stage of the second movable body detach from restriction beams. This allows springs to extend, to move the first movable body and the second movable body away from the contacts.

It is an object of the present invention to prevent damages to a contact. A female contactincludes: a quadrangular tube; a curled portionprovided inside the quadrangular tube; and a curved portion, a projectionand a mounted portionwhich are provided outside the quadrangular tube. The curved portionis elastically displaced in a vertical direction. The quadrangular tube, the curved portion, and the mounted portionare arranged so as to overlap one another when viewed from a direction orthogonal to a first wallof the quadrangular tube. A connectorincludes a plug element, a short-circuiting element, and a latching elementto be latched at a first latching position and a second latching position. When the latching elementis at the second latching position, a short-circuiting piecemoves to a non-short-circuit position. The latching elementhas latch portionsformed in a projecting manner, and the short-circuiting elementhas latch receiving portions. In a state where the plug elementis inserted into the socket element, when the latching elementis at the second latching position, the latch portionsand the latch receiving portionsengage with each other to prevent separation between the socket elementand the plug element
