The communication master repeats transmission of first information indicating a counter value of a synchronization counter of the communication master to the one or more communication slaves through a network. Each of the one or more communication slaves updates the counter value of the synchronization counter of each of the one or more communication slaves based on the received first information upon receiving the first information from the communication master. The communication master manages a total number of pieces of the first information transmitted for each of the one or more communication slaves, and estimates synchronization accuracy with respect to the communication master for each communication slave based on a number of transmissions of the first information for each communication slave.

The convenience of a design of a system is improved by making it easier to verify consumed electric power when designing and constructing the system. An operation screen is displayed upon execution of on a PC for supporting the design of a control system. A power supply unit can be inserted into this configuration. An icon indicates a shortage of electric power to the units downstream of the unit indicated by a selected image. A controller sets the processing in accordance with an error that may occur in data. A controller for controlling a machine or a facility includes a storage unit, a diagnosis unit that diagnoses the presence of an error in data written in a memory space of the storage unit or data read from the memory space, and a processing unit that performs processing in accordance with a diagnosis result obtained by the diagnosis unit. The processing unit performs appropriate processing when an error is detected in data within a set range of the memory space in which the diagnosis unit is to be enabled.

A safety system according to one or more embodiments including a safety controller that executes a safety program. The safety system includes: a collection unit configured to collect an input value over a predetermined period, the input value being a value of an input signal selected previously in one or a plurality of input signals input to the safety controller; and a visualization unit configured to reproduce a behavior of the safety program over the predetermined period based on the input value collected over the predetermined period, and to express visually an operating state of the safety program at an appointed point of time in the predetermined period.

At least some of plural control target devices are classified so as to belong to one of plural groups. A control device holds identification information specifying a belonging control target device and information about a behavior of a remaining control target device in detecting an abnormality of a control target device belonging to an identical group with respect to each group. The control device detects the abnormality of each of the plural control target devices based on data exchanged with the plural control target devices in executing a user program. A power supply controller system includes a power supply portion, arithmetic processing portions, and first and second monitoring circuits configured to monitor an integrity of power supply of the power supply portion. The first monitoring circuit instructs a second arithmetic processing portion to stop an operation thereof when a first watchdog timer is not reset for a predetermined period of time. The second monitoring circuit instructs a first arithmetic processing portion to stop an operation thereof when a second watchdog timer is not reset for a predetermined period of time. The first monitoring circuit further includes a third watchdog timer periodically reset by any one of the first arithmetic processing portion and the second arithmetic processing portion and instructs another arithmetic processing portion to stop an operation thereof when the third watchdog timer is not reset for a predetermined period of time.
