A composition which is useful for production of a light emitting device excellent in light emission efficiency is provided. In particular, provided is a composition containing a compound represented by formula (1) and a phosphorescent compound, wherein Rand Reach independently represent a substituent, nrepresents an integer of 1 to 14, and Arrepresents an arylene group or a divalent heterocyclic group, and at least one of one or more groups Aris a group represented by the formula (1-A), wherein the variable groups Rto R, R, and Rare as defined in the specification. 

Composition and light emitting element device using the same

A light emitting device having excellent external quantum efficiency contains an anode, a cathode, and two organic layers between the anode and cathode. The first organic layer contains a fluorescent low-molecular weight compound, and the second organic layer contains a cross-linked body of a cross-linkable polymer compound containing a unit having a group obtained from a metal complex represented by the formula (1), a cross-linkable constitutional unit having a cross-linkable group, and an aromatic amine constitutional unit: In formula (1), M represents a palladium atom, nrepresents an integer of 1 or more, nrepresents an integer of 0 or more, Eand Erepresent a carbon atom, Ring Lrepresents an aromatic hetero ring, Ring Lrepresents an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or an aromatic hetero ring, and A-G-Arepresents an anionic bidentate ligand.

Light emitting device

A light emitting device is provided which contains an anode, a cathode, and two organic layers disposed between the anode and the cathode. The first organic layer contains a phosphorescent material and the second organic layer contains a crosslinked body of a crosslinkable material and a phosphorescent material. Provided is a metal complex which is excellent in quantum yield and full width at half maximum of a light emission spectrum. The metal complex is represented by the following formula (1): wherein M represents an iridium atom or the like, nrepresents 1 to 3, nrepresents 0 to 2, Xto Xrepresent a carbon atom or the like, Rto Rrepresent a hydrogen atom or the like, one of Xand Xis a single bond, and the other is a group represented by &#x2014;CRR&#x2014;CRR&#x2014;, Rto Rrepresent an alkyl group or the like, ring A represents a heteroaromatic ring, and A-G-Arepresents an anionic bidentate ligand.

Metal complex and light emitting device using the same

A light emitting device including an anode, a cathode, a light emitting layer disposed between the anode and the cathode, and a hole transporting layer disposed between the anode and the light emitting layer is described. The light emitting layer is a layer containing an iridium complex (A) and a heterocyclic compound constituted of typical elements (B), the hole transporting layer is a layer containing a crosslinked body of a crosslinkable material. The molecular weight (MA) of the iridium complex (A) and the molecular weight (MB) of the heterocyclic compound (B) satisfy the formula 2700&#x2264;MA+MB&#x2264;10000 (M1-1) and the formula 0.35&#x2264;MA/MB&#x2264;3.00 (M2-1).
