An illumination device () includes a light source section () outputting excitation light; a fluorescent member () excited by the excitation light to emit illumination light; a first light transmitting section () disposed between the light source section () and the fluorescent member () to guide the excitation light output from the light source section () to the fluorescent member (); and a second light transmitting section (), which is arranged closer to the distal side than the fluorescent member () to guide the illumination light emitted from the fluorescent member (). According to the invention, it is possible to provide an illumination device and an endoscope apparatus capable of exciting the fluorescent member to radiate illumination light, without directly radiating laser light from the light source section to the outside, even if a bending portion or more distal side than the bending portion is damaged in an insertion part.

Illumination device and endoscope apparatus

The endoscope apparatus of the present invention includes: an insertion portion having a bending portion; an observation device that is provided at the insertion portion; an illumination unit that is provided at the insertion portion, and that illuminates a visual field of the observation device; a main body unit that is formed having a size that enables it to be held and operated by one hand of a user; an operating section that is used to operate the bending portion; a display unit that is connected to the insertion portion, and that displays images acquired by the observation device; a light emitting component that is provided in the main body unit, and that is connected via a light guide to the illumination unit; a heat discharge unit that is provided at the main body unit such that at least a portion thereof is exposed, and that is thermally connected to the light emitting component; and a shielding portion that is provided at the main body unit, and that covers at least a portion of the periphery of the heat discharge unit, and that also inhibits the heat discharge unit contacts with external portions thereof.

Endoscope apparatus

An adapter-type endoscope includes a distal end adapter and an insertion portion. The distal end adapter includes a light-emitting device substrate and an adapter-side electrical connection portion. The insertion portion includes a distal end portion to which the distal end adapter is detachably mounted, and has an insertion portion-side electrical connection portion connected to an adapter-side electrical connection portion, and a dual-purpose wire for power supply and heat release serving as both a heat releasing wire and a power source wire. The adapter-side electrical connection portion includes an electrical connection portion main body serving as both an electrical connection portion and a heat conducting portion and whose distal end surface closely contacts the light-emitting device substrate. The insertion portion-side electrical connection portion includes an electrode serving as both an electrical connection portion and a heat conducting portion and having a close-contact surface closely contacting the electrical connection portion main body.

An endoscope is provided capable of performing excellent observation for a long time by preventing decrease in light amount and generation of image noise caused by heat generated by an LED illumination even in a case where a distal-end adapter configured of the LED illumination is arranged at the distal end portion of the insertion unit. One end portion of a heat-radiating member configured of a plurality of elongated wires is arranged in the vicinity of a light emitting device, on the other hand, the other end portion of the heat-radiating member is arranged at a predetermined position on a proximal end side of an insertion unit, and a binding member for binding the wires of the heat-radiating member is provided on a side in the vicinity of the light emitting device of the heat-radiating member.

Endoscope

An endoscope includes light emitting devices arranged in the distal end portion of its insertion unit, and at least one elongated heat-radiating member. One end of the radiating member is arranged in the vicinity of the light emitting devices and the other end is arranged in a predetermined position adjacent to the proximal end of the insertion unit. In observation using the endoscope, a decrease in the amount of illumination rays or the occurrence of image noise can be prevented, the decrease and the noise being caused due to heat generated by LED illumination lights arranged at the distal end of the insertion unit. Therefore, observation can be performed for a long time in good conditions.

According to the present invention, an endoscope system having an insertion member thereof wound about a drum comprises an electronic endoscope, a drum, an angling input unit, a motor-driven angling unit, a camera control unit, a motor-driven angling control circuit unit, and a stowage case. A bending section included in an insertion member of the electronic endoscope is motor-driven to bend, and a solid-state imaging device is incorporated at the tip of the insertion member. The insertion member is wound about the periphery of the drum. The angling input unit is separated from the electronic endoscope, and used to enter a direction of bending in which a user wants to bend the bending section. The motor-driven angling unit is incorporated in the drum, and includes a driving source for driving a driving mechanism that drives the bending section. The camera control unit controls the solid-state imaging device, and includes a signal processor for processing an electric signal sent from the solid-state imaging device to generate a video signal. The motor-driven angling control circuit unit controls the movement of the bending section. The drum is rotatably stowed in the stowage case freely.

Endoscope apparatus with drum part to wind insertion part therearound

According to the present invention, an endoscope system having an insertion member thereof wound about a drum comprises an electronic endoscope, a drum, an angling input unit, a motor-driven angling unit, a camera control unit, a motor-driven angling control circuit unit, and a stowage case. A bending section included in an insertion member of the electronic endoscope is motor-driven to bend, and a solid-state imaging device is incorporated at the tip of the insertion member. The insertion member is wound about the periphery of the drum. The angling input unit is separated from the electronic endoscope, and used to enter a direction of bending in which a user wants to bend the bending section. The motor-driven angling unit is incorporated in the drum, and includes a driving source for driving a driving mechanism that drives the bending section.

An electric bending endoscope having a traction-member operating device according to the present invention has traction members each of whose one end portion is fixed to and extends from a distal end portion of a long and narrow inserting portion, a pulley forming multiple peripheral recesses in which middle parts of the traction members are wound and are located in predetermined states, respectively, a motor for rotating, in a predetermined direction, the pulley in the state where the traction members are wound and are located, an arm member having a plurality of arm members to which base end portions of the traction members wound and located in the peripheral recesses of the pulley and extended therefrom are fixed, and an operation instructing lever to which the arm member is integrally fixed and having an operating portion for changing a slanting direction and a slanting amount to instruct to move a predetermined traction member from the plurality of traction members by a predetermined amount.

Electric bending endoscope

An operational remote controller integrates a joystick for bending a bending portion of an inserted portion in an endoscope. A bending lever stands on the joystick. For every automatically returning of the bending lever to a neutral position, a CPU of the operational remote controller detects the neutral position and sets an insensitive band within a predetermined range of the neutral position. Thus, the insensitive band can be set within a relatively narrow range irrespective of variation of neutral positions. The CPU supplies positional information of the bending lever to a control circuit for controlling a motor drive circuit. The control circuit controls a motor drive circuit based on the supplied positional information, and the motor drive circuit drives a motor to bend the bending portion of the inserted portion.

Controllable bending endoscope

A cylindrical surface on which an insertion portion where a curving portion is provided is wound for containing is formed in a drum portion rotatably supported by a fulcrum. Inside the cylindrical surface, an electric drive unit such as motors moving back and forth manipulation wires transmitting driving forces curving the curving portion is contained. By instructing a curving direction with a joy stick provided through a cable outside the drum portion, the curving portion is curved in a desired direction through the electric drive unit. A monitor displaying an image to be observed through a cable is located outside the drum portion.

An apparatus for holding an insertable part of an endoscope positioned in a combustion chamber of a reciprocating engine or rotary engine having ignition plug holes to observe the interior of the combustion chamber and an inspecting method are provided with a holding apparatus for stationarily holding the insertable part in the combustion chamber through a spark plug hole provided in the engine to insert a spark plug for a spark plug ignition into the combustion chamber.
