A vehicle drive device including: a rotary electric machine that serves as a drive power source for a plurality of wheels; an input drivingly coupled to the rotary electric machine; a counter gear mechanism; a differential gear device that distributes a driving force transmitted from the rotary electric machine via the input and the counter gear mechanism, to the plurality of wheels; a case that accommodates the rotary electric machine, the input, the counter gear mechanism, and the differential gear device; and a support that is a separate member from the case, and is fixed inside the case.

Vehicle drive device

A planetary gear mechanism is desired in which pinion gears can be inserted between support portions on both sides in the axial direction of the pinion gears after the support portions on both sides in the axial direction of the pinion gears are coupled together. In this planetary gear mechanism, a coupling inner portion of a carrier coupling portion is located between a first sun gear and a second sun gear in the axial direction, and a carrier and the carrier coupling portion are formed so that each pinion gears can be inserted between a first shaft support portion and a second shaft support portion in the axial direction from the outside in the radial direction.

A vehicular drive device where the damper, the differential gear device, and the first rotary electric machine are disposed side by side on a first axis that is common thereto, the second rotary electric machine is disposed on a second axis that is parallel to the first axis and is different from the first axis, the output device is disposed on a third axis that is parallel to the first axis and is different from the first axis and the second axis, and the first gear mechanism is disposed on a fourth axis that is positioned on a side opposite to the second axis side with respect to a first reference plane that is a plane including both the first axis and the third axis.

Vehicular drive device

An in-wheel motor drive device is attached to an inner side of a wheel of a vehicle wheel and drives the vehicle wheel. The in-wheel motor drive device includes a rotating electric machine; a transmission mechanism that transmits the rotation of the rotating electric machine; a speed reducing mechanism that reduces in speed the rotation transmitted by the transmission mechanism; and an output shaft that outputs the reduced-speed rotation of the speed reducing mechanism to the wheel. The speed reducing mechanism and the output shaft are disposed on a first axis coaxial with a center of the wheel. The rotating electric machine is disposed on a second axis parallel to the first axis, and the rotating electric machine and the speed reducing mechanism are positioned in a radial cross section perpendicular to the first axis and the second axis.
