A model updating method is provided. The model updating method that is executed by a computer includes calculating a score that indicates a degree of normality or abnormality of each of a plurality of pieces of data by using as a judgment model each of the pieces of data, predicting as a predicted condition whether each of the pieces of data is normal or abnormal according to score, judging whether or not the predicted condition is correct for each of the plurality of pieces of data, calculating the accuracy rate for the predicted conditions of a top specified number of pieces of data in order of decreasing abnormality as indicated by the score when the plurality of pieces of data are arranged in a specified order of score, and judging whether or not it is necessary to update the judgment model according to the accuracy rate.

A communication log storage section stores a communication log of emails exchanged with an external device over an external network. An acquisition destination-selecting section reads out the communication log and identifies an other-end party with whom a target user has performed transmission and reception of emails not less than a predetermined number of times to select the other-end party as an information acquisition destination. An information location-generating section extracts key information related to a location of information at the information acquisition destination contained in the emails transmitted and received to and from the information acquisition destination, to generate information location information. The information location information is stored in an information location-accumulating section. An information acquisition device acquires the information based on the information location information accumulated in the information location-accumulating section.

In a candidate data searching step, a plurality of similar candidate data is searched from a profile data group having a peculiar attribute value every different attribute on the basis of an input in which one or a plurality of attribute values have been designated. In a significance calculating step, significance regarding the attribute is calculated on the basis of the searched candidate data and non-candidate data. In a score calculating step, a score of each candidate data is calculated on the basis of the calculated significance. In a search result outputting step, each candidate data is ranked on the basis of the calculated score, and the ranked upper candidate data is outputted as a search result.
