A terminal-equipped electric wire includes a terminal to be electrically connected to a connection target member, and an electric wire to be connected to the terminal by ultrasonic joining. The terminal includes a joint portion to be connected to the electric wire, a connection portion to be connected to the connection target member, and a plating layer on a surface of the terminal. The connection portion has an uneven shape on at least a part of a surface thereof. When the terminal-equipped electric wire is connected to the connection target member, an insulating coating of the plating layer covering at least a part of the surface of the connection portion is broken.

A contact connection structure includes: a first contact part provided in a first terminal, having a first plating layer formed on an outer surface of a first base material, and having an indent portion protruding from a plane formed by the outer surface of the first base material; and a second contact part provided in a second terminal, having a second plating layer formed on an outer surface of a second base material, and configured to be in contact with the indent portion. At least one of the outer surface of the first base material at the first contact part and the outer surface of the second base material at the second contact part is formed as a smooth surface with smaller surface roughness than surface roughness of a rolled bar material.

The press-fit terminal includes: a press-fit portion that is deformed in a width direction orthogonal to a press-fit direction into a through hole of a circuit board when the press-fit portion is press-fitted into the through hole; a slit that is formed in the press-fit portion and has a longitudinal direction matched with the press-fit direction into the through hole; and a contact portion, which is formed in a part on an imaginary line passing through a center of the slit in the longitudinal direction and extending in the width direction in the press-fit portion and comes into contact with an inner wall of the through hole by press-fitting the press-fit portion into the through hole. A first contact part in which three or more first indent parts are projectingly provided on the same circumference and a second contact part in which one second indent part is projectingly provided, in a terminal insertion process, the first indent part of the first contact part slides on the second contact part and the second indent part of the second contact part slides on the first contact part, and at a terminal insertion completion position, the second indent part intrudes into a position surrounded by the three or more first indent parts and outer circumference surfaces of the first indent parts come into contact with outer circumference surfaces of the second indent part, respectively.

A contact connection structure includes: a first contact portion including an indent portion spherically protruding, the first contact portion including a plating layer formed on a surface of the first contact portion; and a second contact portion including a plating layer formed on a surface of the second contact portion. The indent portion of the first contact portion is slidable on a contact surface of the second contact portion. The indent portion of the first contact portion at a terminal insertion completed position is in contact with the second contact portion. The contact surface of the second contact portion includes an oxide-film shaving portion having an annular arc portion curved along a circumference portion of the indent portion.

A crimp terminal includes a core-wire crimping part that crimps a core wire including strands of an electrical wire so as to surround the core wire from the outside. The core-wire crimping part is provided, on its surface for arranging the core wire thereon, with serrations extending in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the core wire. The serrations include central serration parts and end serration parts which are arranged on respective surfaces that face each other when the core-wire crimping part is crimped to the core wire and which have protruding cross-sectional shapes. The central serration parts and the end serration parts are arranged at respective positions deviated from each other in the axial direction of the core wire.

A contact connection structure includes a first terminal including a first contact portion including an indent and a second terminal including a second contact portion including a contact face that makes contact with the indent. The indent includes a first arc face having the first curvature center extending on a first line, the contact face includes a second arc face having a curvature different from the curvature of the first arc face, the second curvature center of the second arc face extending on a second line perpendicular to the first line. The first arc face and the second arc face make contact with each other by an elliptic region. The direction of one of the first line and the second line is the direction of the long axis of the elliptic region, and the direction of the other line is a direction of the short axis of the elliptic region.
