The functions of the odor (smell, odor, reek etc. have the same meaning) detecting process with the same raw water includes two functions, that is: a function of detecting an odor by a downward substitution method that substitutes, in a sensor portion, heavy odorous substances to a bottom portion and light normal air to an upper portion by a four-stage humidity removal process in which high humidity air which is first generated in a vaporizing portion is made into medium-humidity air with a dehumidifying portion, which is then made into low-humidity air with a constant-temperature portion, and then two or more types of sensor elements are exposed to dry air at the sensor portion; and a second function of detecting poison using fish in a monitoring water tank, which is detected with another process such as surveillance camera, image processor, periphery controller and the like. The above two functions are compactly incorporated as an integrated type into a single cabinet.

A screen printing apparatus includes: a mask guide; a mask moving mechanism; and a squeegeeing mechanism. The mask guide is provided with a mask standby position, a printing-job performing position, and a mask shelter position in this order from a first end to a second end of the mask guide. The mask moving mechanism moves the used mask positioned at the printing-job performing position to the mask shelter position such that it is possible to pick up the used mask from the second end of the mask guide.

Screen printing apparatus and screen printing method

A screen printing apparatus includes an inspection region setter and an operation stop controller. The inspection region setter sets an inspection region in an inspection plane that intersects with a moving path of a mask until the mask positioned at a printing-job performing position moves to a mask shelter position by the moving mechanism. In addition, the inspection region setter excludes a passing region of the mask from the inspection region while the mask to be positioned at the mask shelter position passes over the inspection plane from the printing-job performing position.

Provided is a small and simple automatic water quality surveillance apparatus that can automatically sense toxic substances, oil, mold, or the like contained in raw water. The apparatus includes an odor-sensing water tank through which the raw water circulates. The tank further includes an odor sensor sensing an odor, such as an oily odor, a mold odor, and so on. Upon having sensed the toxic substances, oil, mold, or the like, an alarm is automatically issued thereby.

An imaging apparatus disclosed herein includes: a solid-state imaging device in which pixels are arranged in a matrix; a mechanical shutter; and a signal processing unit, wherein the signal processing unit: resets charge stored in all the pixels by closing the mechanical shutter and applying a voltage V2 to a photoelectric conversion unit; starts first exposure by opening the mechanical shutter and applying a voltage V1 to the photoelectric conversion unit; finishes the first exposure by applying the voltage V2 to the photoelectric conversion unit with the mechanical shutter open; reads pixel signals to obtain a first still image; resets all the pixels; starts second exposure by applying the voltage V1 to the photoelectric conversion unit with the mechanical shutter open; finishes the second exposure by applying the voltage V2 to the photoelectric conversion unit with the mechanical shutter open; reads pixel signals to obtain a second still image.

Imaging apparatus and method of driving the same

A solid-state imaging device including pixels, each pixel having a reset transistor, a selection transistor, an amplification transistor, and a photoelectric conversion unit. The photoelectric conversion unit has a photoelectric conversion film which performs photoelectric conversion, a pixel electrode formed on the surface of the photoelectric conversion film that faces the semiconductor substrate, and a transparent electrode formed on the surface of the photoelectric conversion film that is opposite to the pixel electrode, and the amplitude of a row reset signal applied to the gate of the reset transistor is smaller than at least one of (a) the maximum voltage applied to the drain of the amplification transistor, (b) the maximum voltage applied to the gate of the selection transistor, (c) the power source voltage applied to an inverting amplifier, and (d) the maximum voltage applied to a transparent electrode.

An image-capturing apparatus including a solid-state imaging device including unit-cells arranged in a matrix, in which each of the unit-cells includes a photoelectric conversion unit including: a photoelectric conversion film formed above a semiconductor substrate; a pixel electrode formed on a surface of the photoelectric conversion film, the surface facing the semiconductor substrate; and a transparent electrode formed on a surface of the photoelectric conversion film, the surface being opposite the surface on which the pixel electrode is formed, and the image-capturing apparatus further includes: a voltage applying unit which applies, between the pixel electrode and the transparent electrode, a variable sensitivity voltage for controlling sensitivity of the solid-state imaging device; a level detecting unit which detects an output level of image-captured image data from the solid-state imaging device; and a controlling unit which varies the variable sensitivity voltage based on the output level detected by the level detecting unit.

A solid-state imaging device according to the present invention includes: a semiconductor substrate; a plurality of pixels disposed on the semiconductor substrate in rows and columns; a column signal line formed for each of the columns; an inverting amplifier connected to the column signal line; and a feedback line, provided for each of the columns, to feed back output signal of the inverting amplifier to pixels in a corresponding column, wherein the amplifying transistor includes a gate connected to the pixel electrode and outputs signal voltage corresponding to the pixel electrode to a column signal line via the selection transistor, and one of a source and a drain of the reset transistor is connected to the pixel electrode and the other is connected to a corresponding feedback line.

An apparatus for monitoring a water quality by raising an aquatic living thing in a monitoring water tank 1. The monitoring water tank 1 is taken through a camera 12 to be displayed on a television 14. A monitoring area E comprising a plurality of sensor points is set on a television scene through a light pen, and a fish sensing device 13 senses variation of the sensor points in luminance level to continuously detect the moving positions of fish F, F' under observation. A personal computer 15 detects, on the basis of the moving positions of the fish under observation, whether or not each of the fish under observation takes any one of a plurality of abnormal action patterns, and conducts an alarm operation if both the two fish F, F' under observation assume any abnormal action pattern.

Apparatus for monitoring water quality using aquatic living thing

A water quality monitoring apparatus including a raw water supply and discharge unit 7 equipped with a monitoring water tank 5 for breeding fish under observation. The raw water supply and discharge unit 7 is detachably placed in a lower section of a rack 1, and a video camera 8 is provided in opposed relation to the monitoring water tank 5. Also included are a fish detecting sensor 10 for detecting an actional pattern or the like of the fish under observation on the basis of a picture from the video camera 8 and a computer 11 for detecting the abnormality of the water quality on the basis of the detection result of the fish actional pattern or the like. The raw water supply and discharge unit 7 is made to be drawn from the rack 1 lower section, for example, at the time of cleaning its tanks. Thus, the maintenance thereof becomes easily possible, besides the entire apparatus becomes reducible in dimension to make the space necessary for the installation smaller.
