Provided is a moving object mounted radar antenna including an antenna substrate that includes a main flat surface facing an object, a first antenna element that is allowed to receive a polarization component in a first polarization direction parallel to the main flat surface, a second antenna element that is allowed to receive a polarization component in a second polarization direction perpendicular to the main flat surface, and a separation portion that electrically separates the first antenna element and the second antenna element. Each of the first antenna element, the second antenna element, and the separation portion being provided on the antenna substrate.

Radar loss caused by a windshield having laminated glass in a vehicle is suppressed with a simple configuration. An antenna's radiation section is disposed inside the windshield of a vehicle having a plurality of layers. The radiation section not only radiates radio waves but also receives reflected waves of the radio waves from a target. A distance measurement information generation section is connected to the radiation section. The distance measurement information generation section measures a distance to the target on the basis of the radiated radio waves and the reflected waves from the target and generates distance measurement information.

The present technology relates to a semiconductor chip that can ensure a low impedance current path in an I/O ring while suppressing attenuation of radio frequency signals. The semiconductor chip includes an I/O ring surrounding a core circuit, first and second pads serving as input/output terminals for radio frequency signals, and a radio frequency signal transmission line electrically connected to the first and second pads and the core circuit. The radio frequency signal transmission line is formed above the I/O ring. The present technology is applicable to a semiconductor chip that performs input and output of RF signals.

The present technology relates to a transmitter, a transmission method, a receiver, and a reception method that can keep upsizing and cost increase to a minimum. The transmitter and the receiver have a detection mode and a communication mode as operation modes. The detection mode detects contact between a first waveguide on the side of the transmitter and a second waveguide on the side of the receiver. The communication mode sends or receives a modulated signal, acquired through frequency conversion of a baseband signal, via the first and second waveguides. The transmitter sends a given signal to the first waveguide in the detection mode. The transmitter and the receiver go from the detection mode to the communication mode in response to a given signal received by the receiver via the second waveguide and send and receive the modulated signal via the first and second waveguides in the communication mode.

A connector device according to the present disclosure includes a first connector section and a second connector section. The first connector section includes a waveguide for transmitting a high-frequency signal. The second connector section includes a waveguide for transmitting a high-frequency signal, a yoke disposed to cover the waveguide, and a magnet forming a magnetic circuit with the yoke, and is couplable to the first connector section by the attractive force of the magnet. A communication system according to the present disclosure includes two communication devices and a connector device. The connector device has the above-described configuration and transmits a high-frequency signal between the two communication devices.
