An indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus includes a casing with air inlet and air outlet. A heat exchanger in the casing exchanges heat with air sucked through the air inlet, an air-sending fan blows the heat exchanged air through the air outlet, and a vertical air-directing plate in the air outlet sets a vertical air flow direction in which the heat exchanged air is blown. The casing has a front panel, a bottom panel, and a forward-facing panel connected to the bottom panel at an angle. The air outlet extends from the bottom panel to the forward-facing panel; a lower corner at which joins the bottom panel and an air-outlet side walk; and a forward-facing corner joins the forward-facing panel and the air-outlet side wall. The lower corner and the forward-facing corner each have an edge removed. A forward-facing corner edge-removal dimension smaller than a lower corner edge-removal dimension.

Indoor unit of air-conditioning apparatus

An indoor unit for an air-conditioning apparatus, which prevents adhesion of dew condensation water to up-and-down airflow direction louvers while directing blowing air to an intended direction, includes: a casing; an air inlet; an air outlet; an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor fan; an up-and-down airflow direction louver; and an up-and-down airflow direction auxiliary louver. The up-and-down airflow direction louver includes: an upstream guide surface and a downstream guide surface. The up-and-down airflow direction auxiliary louver includes an upstream end portion, the upstream end portion being positioned on an inner side of the air outlet passage relative to the downstream guide surface and being positioned on the upstream side relative to a downstream guide surface distal end portion of the downstream guide surface, which is an end portion of the downstream guide surface on the downstream side of the air outlet passage.

Indoor unit air-conditioning apparatus

An indoor unit of an air-conditioning apparatus eliminates a possibility of condensation on a front panel without deteriorating a quality of design. In an off state, an auxiliary air-directing plate is positioned above an up-down air-directing plate inside an air outlet such that a free end of the auxiliary air-directing plate opposite from one end of the auxiliary air-directing plate fixed to a rotating shaft is positioned closer to a rear surface of a casing than is the rotating shaft. In an on state, the auxiliary air-directing plate is rotated in a direction from the rear surface to a front surface of the casing, and the free end is protruded from the air outlet to an outside of the casing.

An air conditioner includes: a main body having an air outlet; a fan provided in the main body; a heat exchanger provided in the main body; and a first member rotatably supported on the main body and opening and closing the air outlet, wherein the first member includes a first casing having a first surface facing an inner side of the main body while operation is stopped and a second casing attached to the first casing; on the first casing, a recess is formed on the first surface and a protrusion protruding toward the second casing is formed, and the recess is positioned on an opposite side to the protrusion.

An indoor unit for an air-conditioning apparatus includes a box-shaped casing having an air inlet in a top surface of the casing and an air outlet in a bottom surface of the casing, an air-sending device disposed in the casing and configured to suck in indoor air through the air inlet and blow conditioned air through the air outlet, a heat exchanger disposed in the casing and configured to cause the indoor air to exchange heat with refrigerant to supply the conditioned air, a vertical deflector, a first auxiliary vertical deflector, and a second auxiliary vertical deflector each rotatably arranged in the air outlet and configured to change an air flow direction in a vertical direction.
