A display panel includes a flexible substrate. The flexible substrate includes a display region and a peripheral region. A plurality of self-luminescent elements is on a first main face of the display region of the flexible substrate. A plurality of thin film transistor (TFT) circuits is between the first main face and the self-luminescent elements. The TFT circuits drive the self-luminescent elements. A first inorganic film is between the TFT circuits and the self-luminescent elements, and includes a step portion which is a thinned portion of the first inorganic film disposed in the peripheral region of the flexible substrate. A second inorganic film covers the self-luminescent elements. A resin layer overlaps the second inorganic film and overlaps at least a portion of the first inorganic film in contact with an end portion of the second inorganic film.

Display panel and display device

Provided is a display device including a panel member that has a display panel and a magnetic member adhering to a back surface of the display panel and that is capable of being rolled up, and a magnet that is positioned on a side, opposite to the display panel, of the magnetic member and attracts the magnetic member, in a state where the panel member is drawn out.

The display panel is a display panel that is flexible, including: an EL structure layer including a plurality of EL elements arranged two-dimensionally; a foamed resin layer on a side of the EL structure layer that is opposite to a light emitting surface of the EL structure layer; a metal layer provided between the EL structure layer and the foamed resin layer; and a first adhesive layer provided between the EL structure layer and the metal layer and comprises an adhesive having an elastic modulus of 90 kPa or more.

A display panel according to one embodiment of the disclosure includes: a flexible substrate; a plurality of self-luminescent elements; a plurality of TFT circuits provided between the flexible substrate and the plurality of self-luminescent elements; a first inorganic film covering each of the TFT circuits; a second inorganic film covering each of the self-luminescent elements; and a resin layer covering the second inorganic film and covering at least a portion of the first inorganic film in contact with an end portion of the second inorganic film. The first inorganic film is provided between the plurality of TFT circuits and the plurality of self-luminescent elements, and has a step portion. The step portion is a thinned portion of the first inorganic film opposed to an end portion of the flexible substrate.

Display panel and display apparatus

Provided is a display apparatus including a display panel that is capable of being rolled up, and a protection member, the protection member including a back surface portion layered closer to a back surface of the display panel, a first folded portion folded toward a front surface of the display panel from one end of the back surface portion in an orthogonal direction orthogonal to a roll-up direction in which the display panel is rolled up, and a second folded portion folded toward the front surface from another end of the back surface portion in the orthogonal direction. In the display apparatus, the first folded portion includes a first front surface portion arranged at one end of the front surface in the orthogonal direction, and the second folded portion includes a second front surface portion arranged at another end of the front surface in the orthogonal direction.

Display apparatus

A display apparatus includes a flexible display panel, a drive board that drives the display panel, a flexible board that connects the display panel and the drive board, a core to which the drive board is fixed, rolls up the display panel and the flexible board, and a connection member including a plate-shaped member that is layered on the display panel, connects the display panel and the core, and is rolled up around the core along with the display panel and the flexible board. The plate-shaped member includes a first part overlapping the display panel and curved when the display panel is rolled up around the core and a second part overlapping the flexible board and curved when the flexible board is rolled up around the core. In a roll-up direction, an elongation rate of the second part is smaller than that of the first part.

A display includes a display panel, a shock dispersion layer, a strain relaxation layer, and a shock absorption layer. The shock dispersion layer is provided on a light-extraction side of the display panel and has a Young's modulus of 50 GPa or greater. The strain relaxation layer is provided between the shock dispersion layer and the display panel and has a Young's modulus lower than the Young's modulus of the shock dispersion layer. The shock absorption layer is provided between the strain relaxation layer and the display panel and has a storage modulus of 10 kPa or greater and 1 MPa or less at a room temperature.

Display and electronic apparatus

A display includes a display panel and a first protection sheet. The display panel has flexibility and a light output face. The first protection sheet is provided on the light output face and includes a first shock dispersion layer, a first strain relaxation layer, and a first shock absorption layer. The first shock dispersion layer includes a flexible reinforced-glass member, a flexible hard-coat film, or a flexible double-sided hard-coat film. The first strain relaxation layer includes a wet-laminated layer or a dry-laminated layer that is in close contact with a surface of the first shock dispersion layer adjacent to the display panel. The first shock absorption layer includes a gel layer having a thickness of submillimeter order or greater. The first shock absorption layer, the first strain relaxation layer, and the first shock dispersion layer are laminated in this order from the light output face of the display panel.

A display unit includes a flexible substrate, a display device layer, a polarizer, a first moisture barrier film, and a second moisture barrier film. The display device layer is provided on the flexible substrate. The polarizer is provided over the flexible substrate with the display device layer being interposed between the flexible substrate and the polarizer and has a first surface opposed to the flexible substrate, a second surface facing the first surface, and an end surface connecting the first surface and the second surface. The first moisture barrier film covers the first surface of the polarizer. The second moisture barrier film covers the second surface and the end surface of the polarizer, and is in contact with the first moisture barrier film.

An image forming apparatus includes: an image carrier; a toner image forming unit that forms a toner image on the image carrier; a transfer unit that transfers the toner image on the image carrier to a transfer target having ridges and valleys on a surface thereof; an adjusting unit that adjusts a ratio of A/B, where A is a transfer ratio [%] from the image carrier to a valley portion of the transfer target while B is a transfer ratio [%] from the image carrier to a ridge portion of the transfer target, based on an adjustment input by a user; and a control unit that controls a transfer condition of the transfer unit based on the ratio of A/B adjusted by the adjusting unit.

A display unit includes a display panel and a first protective sheet. The display panel has a light-emitting surface. The first protective sheet is provided on the light-emitting surface. The first protective sheet provided in the display unit includes a first impact dispersion layer, a first strain relaxation layer, and a gel-like first impact absorption layer. The first impact dispersion layer has a pencil hardness of 3H or higher. An image forming apparatus includes a plurality of image bearers, a plurality of developing devices, a plurality of first transfer devices disposed opposite the plurality of image bearers, a second transfer device, a cleaning device to remove toner remaining on the intermediate transferor after a secondary transfer process, and a processor to control the plurality of developing devices to perform a refresh process to discharge toner from the plurality of developing devices to the plurality of image bearers. Among toner of the colors, toner having a first circularity first reaches the cleaning device and toner having a second circularity higher than the first circularity subsequently reaches the cleaning device in the refresh process.

An image forming apparatus includes an intermediate transfer body, a plurality of image bearers, a plurality of developing devices, a plurality of primary transfer devices, a secondary transfer device, and a cleaner.
