A terminal component includes a first metal and a second metal overlapped on the first metal. At a boundary between the first metal and the second metal, there is a joint portion in which the first metal and the second metal are joined by metal joining. The second metal has a groove on the outside of the joint portion on the surface opposite to the surface overlapped on the first metal.

Terminal component, secondary battery, and battery pack

A technology is provided which suppresses the deterioration of the joint part between the electrode terminal and the bus bar due to an external load. An assembled battery herein disclosed includes a plurality of single cells, and a bus bar. The plurality of single cells each include an electrode body, a battery case, and an electrode terminal. The electrode terminal in at least one single cell among the plurality of single cells includes a first member having one end arranged outside the battery case, and the other end arranged inside the battery case, and a second member arranged at the outer surface of the battery case, and mounted at the end of the first member. Herein, a flexible part protruding toward the bus bar is formed at the surface of the second member, and the electrode terminal is joined with the bus bar at the flexible part.

Assembled battery

A technology is provided which improves the conductivity at the electrode terminal in a secondary battery. The technology herein disclosed provides an electrode terminal of a secondary battery. The electrode terminal includes a first member made of a metal, and a second member made of a metal. The first member has a connection part to be connected to the second member. The second member has an insertion hole for allowing the connection part of the first member to be inserted thereinto. At the interface between the first member and the second member in the inside of the insertion hole, the first member and the second member are welded to each other.

Electrode terminal and use thereof

A terminal part with enhanced joint strength of a joint portion between different metals is provided. A terminal part disclosed here includes a first metal and a second metal. A joint interface between the first metal and the second metal includes a first layer disposed at the second metal and containing a first intermetallic compound and a second layer disposed closer to the first metal than the first layer and containing a second intermetallic compound. In the second layer, the second intermetallic compound has grown in a dendritic pattern, and the first metal is present in a gap of the dendritic second intermetallic compound.

Terminal part, method for fabricating terminal part, and secondary battery

The present disclosure provides a technique for constructing an electrode terminal with superior conductivity. An electrode terminal disclosed herein includes: a first member which has a connecting portion that is exposed to outside of the case; and a second member which is a plate-shaped conductive member arranged outside of the case. In addition, the connecting portion penetrates the case and the second member and forms a cap portion having a flat plate shape outside of the second member. Furthermore, a plurality of recessed portions are formed on an upper surface of the cap portion, and a bonding portion due to an intermetallic bond is formed on a boundary, which is between the first member and the second member, below each of the recessed portions. Accordingly, a contact resistance between the first member and the second member can be reduced and conductivity of the electrode terminal can be improved.

Sealed battery and method of manufacturing sealed battery

Provided is an electrode sheet manufacturing method including preparing a sheet stack including an electrode composite material layer and a separator provided on the electrode composite material layer, irradiating the separator of the sheet stack with a first laser beam having a wavelength to be absorbed by the separator, and moving an irradiation position of the first laser beam relative to the sheet stack. The method further includes irradiating the sheet stack having been irradiated with the first laser beam with a second laser beam having a wavelength to be absorbed by the electrode composite material layer, and moving an irradiation position of the second laser beam relative to the sheet stack, wherein the irradiation position of the second laser beam moves so as to follow a track of the irradiation position of the first laser beam.

Electrode sheet manufacturing apparatus and power storage device manufacturing method

A protruding portion of a current collecting foil is provided at one end in a width direction over an entire length in a longitudinal direction. A first end of a positive electrode plate, which is located on a side on which the protruding portion is provided, is located outward of a second end in the width direction, the second end being an end of a positive electrode active material layer in the width direction located adjacent to the protruding portion. An insulating tape is interposed between a positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate. Regarding a size and a position of the insulating tape, the insulating tape is provided in a region including the second end and the first end in the width direction, and the insulating tape is provided in a region including longitudinal ends of the positive electrode plate in the longitudinal direction.

The technique disclosed herein provides a terminal that enables welding with an external member to be realized without requiring surface treatment of a metallic portion having been pressure-welded during ultrasonic welding. The terminal disclosed herein is a terminal constituting any of positive and negative electrodes of a secondary battery and includes a plate-like metallic first member and a metallic second member which is ultrasonically welded to one plate surface of the first member. A recessed portion is formed on a surface on an opposite side to the surface, to which the second member is welded, of the first member, and ultrasonic welding between the first member and the second member is realized in the recessed portion.

A secondary battery includes a flat wound electrode body in which an electrode sheet is wound, and an electrode terminal. The electrode sheet has a current collector, an electrode active material layer which is formed on a surface of the current collector, and a non-formation portion in which the electrode active material layer is not formed on the surface of the current collector. The wound electrode body has a first end portion in which a rounded portion is formed. A first slit is formed along a winding direction in the non-formation portion at the first end portion. A flat surface portion to which the electrode terminal is joined is provided in a portion positioned further toward opposite than the first slit from the electrode active material layer in a portion of the non-formation portion at the first end portion.

This disclosure provides a terminal component that can reduce thermal deterioration due to beam irradiation to a metal joining portion. A terminal component disclosed herein includes a first member formed of a metal and a plate-like second member formed of a metal, and a metal joining portion joined by metal joining is formed in a boundary surface where the first member and the second member are stacked. On a surface of the second member in an opposite side to the boundary surface, a raised portion raised from the surface is formed in a peripheral portion close to the metal joining portion.

A terminal component disclosed here includes a first metal and a second metal on which the first metal is overlaid. A joint portion joined by metal diffusion is formed at an interface between the first metal and the second metal. The second metal includes an insulating portion subjected to an insulating process in a portion except for the joint portion.

A secondary battery herein disclosed includes a case main body. The case main body accommodates a power generating element in the inside. The case main body includes a first member and a second member. The first member is bottomed cylindrical and formed from one metal plate by a drawing process. Secondary battery

Provided is an electrode sheet manufacturing apparatus that forms an electrode sheet by cutting a sheet stack including an electrode composite material layer and a separator provided on the electrode composite material layer. The electrode sheet manufacturing apparatus includes a laser irradiation device that irradiates the sheet stack with a first laser beam having a wavelength to be absorbed by the separator and a second laser beam having a wavelength to be absorbed by the electrode composite material layer, and a controller that controls driving of the laser irradiation device. The controller moves an irradiation position of the first laser beam relative to the sheet stack and moves an irradiation position of the second laser beam so as to follow a track of the irradiation position of the first laser beam.

A terminal component includes a first metal and a second metal overlapped on the first metal, the first metal having a part to be connected to an internal terminal, and the second metal having a part to be exposed to the outside of a battery case. At an interface where the first metal and the second metal are overlapped, one of the first metal and the second metal has a protrusion having a flat top portion. Each of the protrusions is formed into a pyramid shape or a truncated pyramid shape, the protrusions are arrayed, and when viewed from top, at least a portion of a peripheral edge of a portion in which the protrusions are arrayed has a zigzag shape. The zigzag portion is formed along at least one of the vibration direction and a perpendicular direction to the vibration direction. The upper surface of the base portion has an exposed surface on which the stand portion is not formed.
