A display device for a vehicle includes a collision predictor, a display member, and a display controller. The collision predictor detects a moving body sideward of a course of the vehicle and predicts collision of the vehicle with the moving body detected. The display member provides display of an image or display of a mark, for view of a driver seated on a driver's seat of the vehicle. The image or the mark corresponds to the moving body. The display controller performs a control of the display member. The display controller changes the display of the image or the display of the mark more significantly than a motion of the moving body as actually seen from the driver's seat, on a condition that the collision predictor predicts the collision.

According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes a housing including a wall portion, a printed circuit board including a plurality of lines and provided in the housing, and a connector formed of a part of the housing and a part of the printed circuit board. The connector includes an engagement hole formed in the wall portion and into which a connector plug is inserted. The connector further includes a shell formed of a portion located around the engagement hole in the wall portion, a tongue portion formed of a part of the printed circuit board and provided in the engagement hole, and connection terminals formed of the lines extending to and on a surface of the tongue portion.

Electronic device

Provided is a display device for a vehicle. The display device includes a display member and a collision predictor. The collision predictor detects one or more moving bodies on and around a course of the vehicle, and predicts collision of the vehicle with the one or more moving bodies detected, and a position of the collision. The display member displays a collision-position mark at a display position in a visual field of a driver, on a condition that the collision of the vehicle with any one of the one or more moving bodies is predictable. The display position is superimposed on the predicted position of the collision. The display member displays a delineator mark that associates the collision-position mark with the relevant one of the one or more moving bodies detected.

According to one embodiment, a electronic module includes a circuit board including an electronic component mounted thereon, a flexible conducting member including a conductor including a portion covered with a covering member and a portion exposed from an edge of the covering member and soldered to the circuit board, and an engagement member engaging with the flexible conducting member to place the engaged flexible conducting member in a predetermined position on the circuit board and is attached to the circuit board by an attachment method the same as a method of mounting the electronic component on the circuit board.

A protection circuit is provided with: a suppression element that is coupled to a power source side of a main circuit and suppresses current flowing into the main circuit that drives a load; and a soft start circuit that is configured to gradually increase voltage of a control terminal of the suppression element when voltage is applied to the soft start circuit from a boosting circuit used for controlling the main circuit.

The terminal protecting member includes a coated portion configured to maintain the connector terminals in a state of being in no contact with the card-shaped storage medium while the card-shaped storage medium is inserted in the card housing module up to contact positions where the card terminals contact the connector terminals.

According to one embodiment, a card connector for receiving digital broadcasting includes a store portion into which a card for receiving digital broadcasting is inserted so as to be ejectable, and an ejection prevention mechanism configured to prevent the card stored in the store portion from being ejected. The card connector can automatically release the ejection prevention mechanism when the card is inserted into the store portion, and can automatically actuate the ejection prevention mechanism after the card is inserted into the store portion.

A motor driving circuit includes an inverter circuit which supplies a driving current to a coil of a single phase brushless DC motor, a position detection sensor which detects a magnetic pole position of a magnet rotor of the motor and outputs a position detection signal, and a controller which controls the inverter circuit based on the position detection signal and a speed instruction signal for instructing a rotating speed of the motor. At a time of startup of the motor, the controller makes a pulse width of a PWM signal for controlling the inverter circuit constant in a first time period which starts after the position detection signal zero-crosses and lasts until the position detection signal zero-crosses next time, and narrows the pulse width of the PWM signal as time elapses in a second time period immediately after the first time period.

Motor driving circuit

There is provided a single-phase AC synchronized motor that does not need smooth of rectifier waves but stably performs shift from a starting operation to a synchronized operation. In the motor, based on detected signals of a position sensor, rectified current is reciprocally flowed to each direction of a single-phase coil which starts the motor. The motor includes a start-up operation circuit with a sensor starting period that increases a rotational speed until reaching to a first predetermined rotational speed; and a control device that controls operation of the motor as that shift to synchronized operation is performed when a rotational speed of a permanent magnetic rotor is reached to a second predetermined rotational speed nearby a synchronized rotational speed but not exceeding the synchronized rotational speed, and when the rise and fall of detected signals of the position sensor and the zero-cross point of AC current are approximately correspondent to each other.

An encoder device has a main scale with a plurality of slit-like openings at regular intervals, light-emitting means for emitting and directing light toward the main scale, light-receiving means including four light receiving members for receiving light emitted from the light-emitting means via the slit-like openings in the main scale, and means for obtaining information concerning displacement of the main scale by using output signals output from the light-receiving means. The first and the second light-receiving members are disposed with respect to the slit-like openings of the main scale so as to have substantially the same phase, and the third and the fourth light-receiving members are disposed with respect to the slit-like openings of the main scale so that a first differential output signal, obtained by differentially amplifying an output signal output from the first light-receiving member and an output signal output from the third light-receiving member, and a second differential output signal, obtained by differentially amplifying an output signal output from the second light-receiving member and an output signal output from the fourth light-receiving member, have the same period and a predetermined phase difference. The first and second light-receiving members can be spaced further apart and the effects of light leaked when a given opening is between the first and second light-receiving members can be eliminated, making it possible to bring the light-emitting member and the light-receiving members closer together and thus make the encoder device slimmer.

In a rotor unit of a disk supporting and rotating means, a disk support portion and a rotor accommodating portion project from a pole-shaped portion that extends along the disk rotation axis. When an optical head is moved so that its lens portion is opposed to an innermost portion of a disk, it goes into a space that is formed between the disk support portion and the rotor magnet accommodating portion.

A motor rotates a recording medium of a disk cartridge loaded in a disk device. A disk-type detecting unit detects whether the recording medium of the disk cartridge loaded in the disk device is a high-capacity recording medium or a low-capacity recording medium. A motor driving controlling unit causes the motor to rotate in accordance with a given reference clock signal, the motor driving controlling unit being set to a first mode for rotating the motor at a first rotation speed when the disk-type detecting unit detects that the recording medium of the loaded disk cartridge is the low-capacity recording medium and being set to a second mode for rotating the motor at a second rotation speed when the disk-type detecting unit detects that the recording medium of the loaded disk cartridge is the high-capacity recording medium, the second rotation speed being higher than the first rotation speed. A reference-clock-signal controlling unit, when the disk-type detecting unit detects that the recording medium of the loaded disk cartridge is the high-capacity recording medium, gradually increases a frequency of the reference clock signal to be provided to the motor driving controlling unit so that the rotation speed of the motor gradually increases, and, then, finally reaches the second rotation speed.

A disk chucking mechanism for selectively chucking floppy disks onto a turntable has a strong neodym first magnet provided on an inner periphery of the turntable so as to attract a first hub and a second hub, and a weaker ferrite second magnet positioned low on an outer periphery of the turntable opposite a projection formed on the second hub and attracting only this second hub. By using these two magnets a satisfactory clamping of the floppy disks to the turntable can be achieved even when both lower grade (ordinary) and upper grade (high-density) floppy disks are loaded and driven.

Disk chucking mechanism

A motor driver has a braking control circuit. The braking control circuit shuts off the supply of an electric current to the coils included in the motor when a motor control signal shifts to a predetermined level and, after a predetermined length of time secured in accordance with an index signal, starts application of braking to the rotation of the motor by the use of a braking circuit. The index signal is obtained from the signal that indicates the rotational position of the motor. The motor control signal is fed from a control signal generating circuit to the braking control circuit.
