A longitudinal member is configured to transmit a part of a collision load occurring in a vehicle head-on collision to a suspension cross member by way of a front portion, a bending portion, and a rear portion. A lower arm, a portion of which is co-fastened to a vehicle body together with a fastening portion, is configured to transmit another part of the collision load occurring in the vehicle head-on collision to the fastening portion from the front portion. Accordingly, the rear end of the sub frame can be properly detached from the vehicle body in the vehicle head-on collision even in a case in which any weak portion extending in a vehicle width direction may not be provided.

Front vehicle-body structure of vehicle

An object of the present invention is to effectively ensure the rigidity of supporting a front suspension with a simple configuration, without increasing the weight of a vehicle body. In a suspension mounting structure for a vehicle in which a front suspension is supported by sub frames, the sub frameshave a pair of right and left side sub framesthat extend in a front-rear direction of a vehicle in lower parts of front side frames; and a rear sub cross memberthat couples rear end parts of the right and left side framesto each other. Rear parts of the sub framesare provided with: lower arm supporting parts for swingably and elastically displaceably supporting lower armsof the front suspension; first fixing partsthat rigidly bond a rear end part of the rear sub cross memberto a bottom surface of a vehicle body; and second fixing partsthat rigidly bond side end parts of the rear sub cross memberto the bottom surface of the vehicle body at positions that are offset outward from the first fixing partsin a vehicle width direction.

Suspension mounting structure for vehicle

A suspension cross member comprises a middle-portion attaching member which extends upwardly from a suspension cross member body, and a pipe-shaped attaching member which is supported at a support portion provided at an upper portion of the middle-portion attaching member. A side portion, in a vehicle width direction, a front portion and a rear portion, in a vehicle longitudinal direction, of a side face portion of the attaching member are supported at the support portion. A lower portion of the attaching member is supported at the support portion with a specified support rigidity, in the vehicle longitudinal direction, which is lower than that of the supporting of the side portion, the front portion or the rear portion of the side face portion of the attaching member.

Lower structure of automotive vehicle

A positioning pin and a bolt hole positioned near this pin are provided at a plate-shaped rear-portion attachment face portion of a suspension cross member. A positioning hole having the positioning pin inserted thereinto and a bolt hole positioned near this positioning hole are provided at a tunnel frame on the side of a vehicle. The rear-portion attachment face portion and the tunnel frame are fastened by a bolt inserting into the bolt holes together with a nut. Accordingly, the support rigidity of the suspension cross member during the normal vehicle traveling can be secured and the smooth retreat of the power unit to restrain the collision load from having bad influence on passengers in the vehicle frontal collision can be achieved.
