A tape-sheathing device is provided to eliminate peeling of a tape adhered to an electric wire, in which a first die, a second die and a third die having tapered holes are serially arranged. An electric wire fed by a feed roller and a tape are inserted together into respective dies, and the tape is installed incrementally on the electric wire by the respective dies. Opening portions are provided in the first die and the second die by notching a portion in the range of about 90&deg; of the downstream end portions of the first and second dies, in a condition in which the opening in the first die and the opening in the second die are shifted by about 90&deg; relative to each other. When the tape passes through the first die, it is adhered to a partial peripheral portion of the electric wire, adhered to about three quarters of the wire by passage through the second die, and adhered completely around the periphery by passage through the third die.

A cable-end-portion bend forming device for an automatic connecting apparatus includes: a front guide roller and a rear guide roller for guiding a cable being fed out at two positions on front and rear sides of the device; and a front forming roller and a rear forming roller disposed between the two positions and supported rotatably by two supporting members, respectively, the front forming roller and the rear forming roller being adapted to approach positions of abutment, or substantial abutment, against the front guide roller and the rear guide roller, respectively, wherein at least the supporting member for supporting the rear forming roller is capable of moving the rear forming roller between a position in close proximity to the rear guide roller and a position spaced apart therefrom.

Cable-end-portion bend forming device for automatic connecting apparatus

A wire harness includes a main circuit part 1 including an insulated conductor wiring circuit plate 3 in which conductors 8 are arranged on a base insulation film 9 to form a wiring circuit by turning, bowing, crossing, or branching the conductors and covered with a flexible insulation film 12. Further, a branched connection part 2 is provided including a printed circuit plate 4 connected to a connecting area 14A in the main circuit part 1 through a connecting area 14B formed thereon and adapted to receive leading electrical wires 5. The conductor wiring circuit plate 30 is a flexible circuit plate which has an insulation base film 33, conductors 31 juxtaposed on the base film, an upper coverlet film 32, and a connecting area 36 for the conductors 31 having an adhesive layer 37 on the back side of the film 32. The connecting area 36 is formed by removing a predetermined width 38 of the base film 33 along the lateral direction of the coverlet film 32.
