A method involves supporting both a sensor which measures biological information and an insertion needle at a location proximally spaced from the distal end portion of a device body. The sensor includes a detector which detects a body fluid component of the patient used to measure the biological information, and a signal processor which is attached to the device body and which processes a signal including the biological information. The method also involves moving the sensor and the insertion needle in the distal direction so that the detector and a portion of the insertion needle protrude distally beyond the distal end portion of the device body, separating the insertion needle from the sensor by moving the insertion needle relative to the sensor toward a proximal direction, and electrically connecting the sensor and the signal processor by operation of the device body after the insertion needle is separated from the sensor.

Sensor inserting device and operating method thereof

A sensor insertion device for inserting a detection element of a sensor configured to measure biological information of a subject into the body of the subject includes a device body; a data process unit attached to the device body, a movement mechanism detachably attached to the device body, the movement mechanism being configured to move the detection element together with an insertion needle configured to be stuck into the body of the subject to insert the detection element and the insertion needle into the body of the subject; and a displacement preventing member.

Sensor insertion device and sensor insertion method

The sensor inserting device includes a device body, a movement mechanism which inserts a detector and an insertion needle into a body of a patient by moving a sensor with the insertion needle, and a dwelling member which is arranged on a moving path of the sensor and attached to the sensor by movement of the sensor caused by the movement mechanism. The dwelling member is allowed to dwell on the skin of the patient with the sensor and the transmitter connected at a location in which the detector is inserted into the body of the patient.

A sensor inserting device includes a device main body and a push handle for moving a detector of a sensor and an insertion needle, with the sensor held coupled to the insertion needle, into the body of a patient. A transmitter, for processing a signal from the sensor, is set in the device main body. A cable, allowing transmission of a signal between the sensor and the transmitter, is connected to the sensor () and the transmitter.
