A novel pipe cover is disclosed that can suppress thermal deterioration in a member that is positioned opposite to the pipe, and can control the temperature inside the pipe within a given range, even when a high-temperature fluid circulates through the pipe. The pipe cover is used to cover the outer periphery of a pipe, and includes a base that is formed of a tubular heat insulator, and a surface member that covers the outer surface of the base, a heat radiation section and a heat radiation-suppressing section being provided on the outer surface of the surface member, and the emissivity of the heat radiation section at a wavelength of 2 to 15 &#x3bc;m being higher than the emissivity of the heat radiation-suppressing section at a wavelength of 2 to 15 &#x3bc;m.

A cylinder head gasket includes two main members on two sides, and middle members sandwiched therebetween. The middle members are composed of a first middle member and a second middle member that is separated and distinct therefrom. The first middle member is a metal plate that has cylinder hole rim portions encircling cylinder holes to a particular width, with beads surrounding the cylinder holes being formed in the cylinder hole rim portions. The metal plate either forms separated items, one at each cylinder hole, or else forms an integrated item connected between the cylinder holes. The second middle member is a metal plate that is disposed on the outside of the first middle member and has oil holes and bolt holes. The thickness of the first middle member is greater than that of the second middle member.

A gasket held between opposite flange joint surfaces with a bolt includes a combination of a complex material with a rubber material formed on one or both sides of a steel plate, the complex material having a convex or waveform bead, and a circular metal plate arranged at a bolt portion with a through-hole where a shank of the bolt penetrates and a bearing corresponding portion that corresponds to a bearing of the bolt around the through-hole. The gasket is configured to have the thickness (H) of the bead provided to the complex material greater than the thickness (H) of the circular metal plate that is equal to or greater than the thickness (H) of the complex material. This structure provides a gasket indicating good sealing properties under such circumstances that a flange has low stiffness, a tightening load is reduced, and the distance between bolts is expanded.

The present invention relates to a soundproof cover containing: a sound-absorbing material disposed facing to a sound source; a soft sound-insulating layer laminated on the sound-absorbing material and having an air permeability measured according to JIS L 1018 (1999) of 10 cc/cm&#xb7;sec or less; and a soft cover forming an air layer with the soft sound-insulating layer and having a Young's modulus measured according to JIS K 7127 (1999) of 0.2 to 1.5 GPa, in which the air layer is hermetically sealed.

A shape memory foam member is disclosed. A coefficient of water absorption of the shape memory foam member is in the range between 0.01 g/cm and 0.2 g/cm in a non-compressed state. A sound absorbing structure comprising at least one porous member including a plurality of holes, and the holes are at least one kind of through holes and non-through holes. It is preferable that a plurality of porous members are stacked. A sound absorbing structure including a film with through holes formed is laminated on a porous member having communicating voids on the side facing a sound source. At least one of the through holes has an opening area of 19 mm or more, and the total of the opening area accounts for 1 to 70% with respect to the area of a film formation surface on the porous member. A soundproof cover including the sound absorbing structure disposed on the inner surface of a cover main body are also provided.
